The Showcase of the Immortals has become the show you have to be immortal to make it all the way through to the end.

On the second episode of Jerry Lawler's Dinner With The King podcast, Lawler spoke about owning the video tape library for Memphis. "Yes, I do own [the library]," Lawler said. "There's just some controversy about USWA footage, which would have been from '88 to '96. But all the other, from '77 to '88 and from '96 on, yeah, I own that footage." Regarding the possibility of the footage finding a new home via the WWE Network, Lawler simply replied, "Yes, absolutely. Without a doubt."

Had heard that rumored but hadn't seen confirmation anywhere yet. I'm interested to hear that speech, for sure. Overall, I'm really pleased with this year's class.

I'm 100% positive Vader isn't passing soon. He's been angling hard to get into the HOF for years, and I think he's clearly working this health thing hoping WWE will put him in thinking he's about to die. Announces he's got two years to live, gets a bunch of retweets/trending/sheet talk. Then he makes a tweet saying a second doc said he was fine and wasn't dying, got retweets, deleted it. Then said DDP Yoga CURED him of all of his health issues, got retweets, deleted it. Now he's got a t shirt he's selling. He also posted pictures of him after a "car wreck" that should have killed him and the pictures clearly had pretty poor make up looking like he had been in a wreck. And then...he deleted them. If you've ever interacted with Vader on twitter, you will know that he just makes up easily verifiable shit and then begs to get inducted into the HOF. If that's true then that's sad. I've always been a fan but that's a crappy thing to do.

Looks like a great hall of fame class this year. I really do hope Vader can make it in before he passes.

I admit I haven't seem much of Steele in his prime, but watching Saturday Night's Main Event and the storyline with Savage and Elizabeth was one of my first wrestling memories and helped make me a lifelong fan. RIP

That looks like an amazing card. Guess for some reason Rich and JYD just didn't translate or resonate with the Houston fans. Is there data showing attendance figures for shows around that time?
