  1. Is Lana still employed? Maybe he wants to just not rock the boat until her contract ends.
  2. I think he said it was Pat Pattersons idea.
  3. I feel so much sympathy for Vader after listening to that. As much as listening to the Midnights/Fantastics Clash I watch along made me happy, listening to this one made me upset. If Shawn had been willing to work with Vader than Vader would have had a lot more good matches in WWE listening to Cornette. Of course I realized in hindsight that Corny just does not like Shawn and is probably overlooking the fact that Vader was no longer the same Vader as in WCW and it may not have made much difference in his career. I agree it is sickening to think Shawn was shoot kicking Vader in the head after that botch. That seems uncalled for and dangerous.
  4. I completely missed 2 days ago was the 20th anniversary of Bash at the Beach 2000. This important milestone is when Vince Russo forever changed wrestling history. I am surprised nobody created a thread for people to share their thoughts on this historic event and how its implications are still impacting pro wrestling to this day. Of course, as I am sure you all know, I am talking about when Vampiro and the KISS Demon invented "cinematic wrestling " during their "Graveyard" Match. Boneyard, anyone?
  5. They didnt need Bret, DDP, or Sid. But that moment after Hogan knocks Luger down and seems excited to be able to prove to Sting that Lex was lying, and then to slowly realize that Sting was holding the bat Luger brought was great. Then when Sting hits Hulk with the bat it was awesome. It didn't have to be a full heel turn. It could have just been Sting going tweener and deciding Hogan could not be forgiven for years of NWO. It feels like that's how the fans took it.
  6. Well it also shows where the disconnect maybe between older wrestlers and modern fans when comparing good and bad wrestlers. A wrestler may look at a match and see things that are difficult to do or things that just look like shortcuts. But the fan just sees the end product and so is not watching through the same bias. Hence the different opinions on the same match.
  7. Wow I finally got to the end of this episode of The Experience, and watched along with the Midnights/Fantastics from Clash I. It's the very last thing on the podcast, so I would suggest just skipping ahead to the last like 20 minutes or so. It's amazing. Seeing the match while hearing it broken down like that, wow. Did they really call it in the ring like that? I feel like something must be lost in wrestling tradition if in the old days it was just called on the fly like that, and today its planned out before hand. Like I know that's how they used to do matches, but until he walked us through it like that I dont think I appreciated how complicated that process could actually be. I would love to hear more of these.
  8. Which Doom guy? Butch Reed or Ron Simmons?
  9. Wow I was sure Johnny Sorrow was older than that with all the old references he would make on Titans.
  10. I really loved his "Guide to Life" column which I think he wrote in like 2003 on either 411 or a similar site when I was in university. His book reviews inspired me to read books outside of just fantasy novels which I am grateful for as I would have missed out on a lot of great books if I kept reading Tolkien rip offs. I was so excited when he actually printed one of my emails and gave me advice which in turn gave me confidence enough to get a girlfriend at the time. I know he seemed rude to most people, but I really looked up to him at the time.

When I saw that match with the Brazilian girl, Jaynes I think her name was, my thoughts were "Why are they doing a jobber vs jobber match?" But I guess she is not actually supposed to be a jobber even though she lost her debut match on Dynamite. I was surprised Excalibur asked Allie twice about Butcher and Blade, and both times she ignored the question. I assumed they were just going to ignore the whole "Bunny " thing.
  12. Any word on the extent of Fenix's injuries or how long he will be out for?
  13. My guess is there is like one person going through classic content to put up, and he only does it part time because it maybe is secondary work added to his existing job at WWE so he isnt given a lot of time for it.
  14. Maybe Flair would replace Andre in the Mega Bucks,
  15. It's similar to when people flash strangers in public. It's not meant to win somebody over. The act in itself is it's own reward.
  16. Yeah if you like the cinematic matches like the boneyard match or firefly funhouse match from Wrestlemania the BTE episode 200 reminds me of that. I dont watch BTE usually and have a hard time getting through the episodes because I don't find them funny. But I wasnt bored or annoyed watching this episode because there was so much action.
  17. Botchamania is awesome. I think Vimeo is where I usually watch it, but I usually go to the actual Botchamania website and just pick one of the links since Maffew posts all of them so I may not even notice this change.
  18. Is this match on the WWE Network? What would I look under? Or is the rematch where Savage doesn't sell the leg on the Network?
  19. Does anybody know why that 80's Florida stuff is not on the WWE Network? I thought Vince owned all the 80's Florida footage as well. I was watching some "Old School" 80's house show matches and was thinking it would be great if we had the local promos from the syndicated TV for the specific house shows that we do have on the Network. I understand that there are a lot of local promos from different syndicated shows and it wouldn't make sense to put them all up. But for the specific house shows they do have up, like the March 85 MSG show, it would be cool if they put up the syndicated TV or promos from the TV that aired on the local New York TV from the month or so leading up to it. As a child, the local promos was usually my favorite part of the syndicated TV, and being able to see those promos, followed by the actual matches they were promoting, would be lots of fun.
  20. I am curious to hear what Cornette has to say about the Boneyard Match. I imagine he is probably going to hate it, but I am curious if he has anything positive to say about it. Actually, with the way things have been going lately, I can imagine him starting watching it and then turning it off once he realizes its not a normal match.
  21. I liked the Mike Mills segment, because I like anytime Corny talks about old wrestling. I wish he was reviewing old wrestling on the Network instead of stuff like Legends House or the documentaries.
  22. II am really enjoying this episode. Surprising since the wwe empty arena stuff suck. I like Cody and Tony on commentary. It's easy to listen to. I would love to watch a show like this every week.
  23. I think instead of having the audience empty, they should have one person sitting there by himself for these Performance Center shows: Vince McMahon.
  24. R-truth makes a good point. Why are they previewing Wrestlemania matches during the Elimination Chamber pre-show? I don't blame him for being confused.
  25. Did they really think that piano would break? Pianos are not built the same as the simple folding tables they usually break. You think they would have tested it first. I like that Dolph and Otis haven't confronted each other yet. I know the whole soap opera for men thing is usually a negative thing, but you can hear the audience getting behind Otis and booing the heels here. I like this particular angle better than the similar Rusev/Lana storyline they had in the fall on Raw.
