  1. I like that Ernie Ladd seems to have gotten into the mind of Iceman King Parsons. Although he might have more trouble doing what he intended to do with the Onyx Express. Crowd must've gone crazy for Dusty winning the Texas Heavyweight title!
  2. For fxnj, I picked EVIL vs Satoshi Kojima from last year's G1 Climax. If you have seen it, let me know: www.dailymotion.com/video/x5wsq9q

  4. The Botswana Beast & Lord Humongous are on Lutte's trading block.
  5. NWA Lutte Internationale/International Wrestling TV LIVE! May 10th, 1986 Hauterive, QC Quick and dirty results recap -To kick us off, the broadcast booth welcomes NWA World Heavyweight Champion Rick Martel for an interview. Rick Martel is asked about the recent savage attack by Nikita Koloff, which cost Koloff the UWF World Heavyweight Championship after being stripped of the belt by Bill Watts. Martel says that he won't stand down from any attacks by Koloff. Martel thanks Ole Anderson & Magnum TA for standing up for him but he says it's now time for him to take the fight out to Nikita himself. Martel says that everyone advised him not to do this but he cannot let Nikita act the way he does indefinitely. So, he's gonna ask NWA President Bob Geigel to sanction a match between him and Nikita Koloff as soon as possible. He says there's a possibility he might not win this but at least, he'll be able to walk out of this with his head held up high. Jos LeDuc interrupts Martel's promo and shows him respect for the way he's been handling things. He says he's taking the same route with the Samoan SWAT Team and he's done taking crap from them. LeDuc says he found himself a tag team partner and wants a tag title match with the Samoan SWAT Team next week in Avonlea, SK. But this is then and this is now. Jos wants a shot at Rick Martel's championship. Rick Martel says he won't have to ask twice; out of respect for Jos, he'll accept and he hopes the Samoans and Paul E. Dangerously will stay out of this. -In the opening NWA Showcase match, Assassin #2 beat Super Destroyer #2 in 9:21 -Next to the broadcast booth is the new NWA Canadian International Heavyweight Champion, Don Kernodle from Mid-Atlantic. Kernodle is asked about his despicable actions going back to the Johnny Rougeau Memorial Cup in Montreal. Kernodle says there was nothing despicable; he did all he had to do to get noticed. Kernodle says that ever since Lutte Internationale returned, the Rougeaus were handed everything, even the NWA World Tag Team Championship. Kernodle claims that it's unknown from the general public but when the Rougeaus accepted to face Jimmy Garvin & Eric Embry for the North American Tag Team Championship, Kernodle called Jacques to ask him to step down and let American Made have the title shot and Jacques laughed at him and hung up on him. So, Kernodle got the sweetest revenge possible by throwing him off the scaffold and used Jacques' pride to get something he wanted and that's the Canadian International Heavyweight Championship. Kernodle is then asked about him turning his back on Corporal Kirschner shortly after he won the title. Kernodle says that Kirschner was holding him back and he just cut off dead weight. It's all about him now and he's gonna make the Kernodle name proud and nobody is taking that title away from him. Kernodle is then interrupted by "Adorable" Adrian Adonis, who's barging in on the set, asking again for a title shot. Paul E Dangerously quickly follows at his heels, saying that Adonis cannot always ask title shots like that. Adonis still insists that he wants a title shot and he wants to face Don Kernodle right now. Paul E apologizes for Adonis and tries to drag him off but Adonis yanks his arm from Paul E and he asks one more time. Don Kernodle doesn't hesitate and says he's gonna make him regret taking that title shot....RIGHT NOW. -NWA Canadian International Heavyweight Champion Don Kernodle beat "Adorable" Adrian Adonis (w/Paul E. Dangerously) in 9:11 to retain after Paul E. distracted the official long enough while Adonis was applying Good Night Irene on Kernodle. Paul E wanted to complain about Kernodle using the American flag moments earlier but that distraction allowed Kernodle to low blow Adonis and use his title belt to knock out Adonis and get the win. Paul E. seemed "disappointed" but clearly, things aren't going smoothly for Paul E and Adrian right now... -Randy Rose of the Southern Ramblers defeated B. Brian Blair of the Killer Bees in 18:21 in a solid match -Before the main event, the broadcast team confirm that the Samoan SWAT Team will be defending the NWA Canadian International Tag Team Championship against Jos LeDuc and his mystery partner next week live and also, Matt Borne will be defending the NWA Canadian International TV Championship against one half of the Fabulous Ones, Steve Keirn! -In the main event, NWA World Heavyweight Champion Rick Martel beat Jos LeDuc in 14:05 to retain after the slingshot splash. Postmatch, the Samoan SWAT Team ran in again to attack both LeDuc and Martel but this time, LeDuc and Martel turned the table on the Samoans and chased them off....Samu & Fatu, that is, as Paul E must hold back Kokina Maximus to step inside the ring. Before the show goes off the air, LeDuc is asked if Martel is his mystery partner but LeDuc simply answers "No." The show ends as the broadcast team asked themselves who will be LeDuc's mystery partner next week in the main event! À LA SEMAINE PROCHAINE SI DIEU LE VEUT!
  6. Sorry, my bad. It's been corrected.
  7. Absolutely not! I think that's an awesome idea. And since you're not directly involved in the project, I think you're best suited to give the best perspective to enhance the project. You've got my support on this!
  8. May 9th, 1986 Saskatoon, SK -The Rougeau Brothers (Armand & Raymond) beat Jos LeDuc & Randy Rose in 5:34 with La Bombe Rougeau on Randy Rose -Lord Humongous (w/Floyd Creatchman) beat Buddy Landell in 11:54 -Richard "Le Magnifique" Charland (w/Frenchy Martin) beat Bobby Fulton in 9:21 -The Spoiler beat Gilles "The Fish" Poisson in 15:50 -NWA World Heavyweight Champion Rick Martel & Andre The Giant beat The Killer Bees in 17:31 with a double underhook suplex from Andre on Brunzell -The Batten Twins beat Los Infernales in 22:54 Guest Referee - Bruno Sammartino: The Great Samu (w/Paul E. Dangerously) beat King Tonga (w/Frenchy Martin) in 20:45 after an altercation between Bruno and King Tonga that ended up with Bruno punching Tonga, allowing Samu to roll up Tonga! Tonga and Bruno got into a verbal confrontation but Frenchy Martin was able to hold back Tonga and send him to the back! NWA National Heavyweight Championship: Kokina Maximus (w/Paul E. Dangerously) beat Owen Hart in 8:03 to retain
  9. Yeop, no doubt about it: Bob Roop had something to do with the Jayhawks forfeit win. Good start and I like your style of narrating with your shows. Different feel from the rest of our promotions. Good job!
  10. My match of the night is definitely Chavo vs Pillman! And certainly not sleeping over Tanaka vs Finlay. As fun as Badd Company was as a tag team, you're doing fantastic with Pat Tanaka in singles!
  11. You're good to go.
  12. Never saw it, so going to be something. For you, I have back ups if you've seen it: Deonna Purazzo vs Karen Q in a No DQ match. Love Purazzo and this is a fun little brawl. First and foremost, I must admit that at the beginning of the Women of Honor division, I was skeptical because there were a lot of names that I didn't recognize and given all the great talent in promotions like SHIMMER, SHINE or WSU, I was expecting to see more top names to be involved in that division. But one name that I always thought was the best overall on that roster was Deonna Purrazzo. I honestly think that she should've been the first WOH Champion but that's just me. I've rarely been impressed with women in street fight stipulations. Not a matter of misogyny or anything; it's just that most of the time, those street fights didn't seem believable; they were kinda holding back and this didn't feel natural. This No DQ match definitely felt natural to me. First, with Ian Riccaboni reminding us a bit of the history between both Deonna & Karen Q, and the recap of the events leading up to this match definitely help a casual viewer to be more invested in this. And they definitely executed this one very well, taking every trick of the book - my favorite part of the match is Karen Q taping Deonna to the top rope and working on her in the corner for a solid 90 seconds at least - and using them with their own flavor. Of course, it wasn't entirely perfect but they didn't hold back and that's what I was asking for those two ladies. Indeed, quite the fun match!
  13. That sure will keep Cornette out of the Rock N' Roll Express' business this time! Great show again! If Eddie Gilbert can stay out of trouble with Tommy Rich, he got a pretty good chance of winning that UWF title!
  14. I wish I could've seen him perform. I was always intrigued by what I saw in magazines. Harvey Wippleman looked like a perfect fit for him as a manager.
  15. I see that Sunny War Cloud (Robert Rancourt) isn't in the Free Agents list and I'd like to add him to my roster, if possible. He had already debuted in 1984 but he seems to have flown by our radar.
  16. The storytelling with Owen/Bruce and Rickin Sanchez is fantastic. The highlight of your shows every week!
  17. Great cards in Seattle and Portland. What a treat to see Bockwinkel and Steamboat going Broadway! And the implosion of the Varsity Club is so fun to watch. But never count out Kevin Sullivan!
  18. No, right now, there are 2 announced; men and women, both interbranded.
  19. Abdullah the Butcher: July 5 (WWC), July 2 (MACW), July 19 & 21 (UWF), July 22 (WCCW) Bruiser Brody: July 10, 12, 19, 22, 24 & 26 (WCCW), July 21 (UWF) Stan Hansen: July 2 (MACW), July 10, 12, 19, 22, 24 & 26 (WCCW), Mil Mascaras: July 19 & 21 (UWF) Minis: Antonio Inoki:, July 2 (MACW) Akira Maeda: July 12, 19 & 22 (WCCW)
  20. Again, I need the exact dates of your shows in June before I can give them to you.
  21. No problem. Again, family comes first.
  22. Abdullah the Butcher: June 28 (Lutte) Bruiser Brody: June 7 & 29 (MACW), June 28 (WCCW) Stan Hansen: Mil Mascaras: June 28 (Lutte) Minis Women: June 5 & 8 (Lutte) Antonio Inoki: Akira Maeda: June 29 (MACW)
  23. I'll have to start the June thread first. And I'll need all of your exact dates as well.
  24. LUTTE INTERNATIONALE NEWS -A grueling schedule has come to an end to start the month of May as the Johnny Rougeau Memorial Cup is now in the books and Giant Baba defeated Antonio Inoki, in the finals. Behind the scenes, it is said that Frank Valois & Gino Brito wanted to thank Baba for their great working relationship and how Lutte has always been well represented in Japan. It was also a way to thank Baba to have the Rick Martel vs Jumbo Tsuruta title match in Japan on May 24th on their tour-ender. -As for Rick Martel and Nikita Koloff's impending showdown, many expected them to face off somewhere in the tournament but Lutte management went elsewhere. Dave Meltzer shed a light on this in his latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter: -To continue with Rick Martel, Martel hasn't hidden the fact in recent media interviews that the NWA World Champion schedule has taken a bit of a toll on his body recently but he's ready to go forward as champion as long as the NWA wants him to be. However, when Martel will drop the title, it's not expected to be a demotion whatsoever for him as he'll just have a "more regular" schedule. -Another shocker from this week of action: Don Kernodle becoming the new NWA Canadian International Heavyweight Champion at Prelude by defeating Jacques Rougeau after his brother Raymond threw in the towel to save Jacques. The reason for this title change is two-fold; number 1, it was to solidify Don Kernodle's heel turn in Mid-Atlantic and Valois - and even Jacques Rougeau - felt like having Kernodle cost the Rougeaus the NWA North American tag titles and winning the title at Prelude would've helped Kernodle's stature. Frank Valois is in regular contact with Jim Crockett - as he is with the other NWA promoters - and he knew that the Crocketts were having big hopes for Don Kernodle. No word yet on when Jacques will get his rematch or who would be Kernodle's first challenger but we should be fixed soon as the card for Heatstroke 86 should take form in the upcoming weeks. -As the NWA continues its expansion and is more solid than ever despite the departure of the Four Horsemen to WWF, Frank Valois was asked about the reason why he has so many other NWA workers performing on his show and holding main titles in Lutte: -Lutte Internationale is also looking to revamp its tag team division in the upcoming weeks as they feel some acts are getting stale, noticeably the Creatchman Family. While Floyd Creatchman is still in good standing with the company, Lutte feels like they've done all they could do with Botswana Beast & Lord Humongous so they might be on their way out of Lutte in a few weeks. -Another collateral damage from that tag team revamping will be The Fantastics. Given that the Rougeaus will more than likely be returning actively in the tag team division, Lutte feels like it'd be better for The Fantastics to be a feature act elsewhere in the NWA. The door will however be always open for them to perform in Lutte Internationale at any time. -Adrian Adonis is expected to turn babyface in the upcoming weeks as the rise of Kokina Maximus as Paul E's crown jewel of the Dangerous Alliance will be causing some rifts on TV. In the meantime, Adonis will take a short leave of absence in Lutte to further that angle but his destination is yet to be revealed. -Another huge story: the surprise appearance of Andre the Giant in Selkirk, MB. Despite his contractual situation with the WWF, Andre has never hidden his loyalty to Frank Valois and Lutte Internationale and he still wanted to work for them in some capacity. Andre will work several dates with Lutte over the summer in addition to his currently committed dates in Japan. -Something major is in plans for King Tonga that will certainly have people talking over the summer. The objective for this is to make King Tonga the main heel in Lutte Internationale by the end of 1986. -Finally, MAJOR talents are headed the way of Lutte Internationale by the end of the month. You won't believe who it is!
