For me, the story is more about the way @Burgundy LaRue put it and how it makes Roman more and more the ultimate prick heel who'll do everything in his power to make it known that he runs the show and no one can stop him. I feel like as we progress in this Roman story arc, the more Roman pulls stuff like this, the more the title change will be significant when it happens. Right now, it's gonna be fun for casual fans to probably know more about Adam Pearce's career and I hope that WWE will take the time to do that instead of just sticking to "Oh, he didn't make it in WWE, he's got no chance against Roman."

Jay & Mark Briscoe are considered the greatest tag team in Ring of Honor history; the measuring stick for any tag team daring to enter the promotion. It is with this rivalry that Kevin Steen & El Generico have been able to cement their legitimacy in the indy circuit, especially in Ring of Honor, including a memorable Ladder War that capped off what won them the Rivalry of the Year Award. This is the thread to talk everything Briscoes vs Kevin Steen & El Generico!

I still have chills every time I see The Sandman's entrance from ECW One Night Stand 2005 and I hear the crowd singing the entire Enter Sandman song. This is the kind of vibe and atmosphere that I live for as a wrestling fan and I agree that music is such a big part of a wrestler's personnality a lot of times. Those Network edits do not do justice to those specific moments in time.

When Bray Wyatt emerged as the leader of the Wyatt Family, he became a force like no one had ever seen before as his innate charisma and force of persuasion lead his cult to run roughshod among WWE, eventually targeting fan favorites like Daniel Bryan. Despite having the full crowd support behind him, Bryan couldn't beat the Eater of Worlds and resorted to do the unthinkable in joining the Wyatt Family....only to come to his senses and defy the patriarch of the Wyatts in a memorable cage match on RAW in 2014, which would give him enough momentum to finally win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania XXX. This is the thread to talk everything Bray Wyatt vs Daniel Bryan!

The fact that AEW isn't interested, considering the original plans tying Marty Scurll to the Dark Order at some point before Brodie Lee debuted gives you a pretty significant idea of his standing on the pro wrestling chessboard.

I wonder though how much of this rating had to do with people wanting to know if they would follow up on last week's cliffhanger.

The band is back together, bitches.

You remind me that I'm a bit late in my listening of Arn's podcast. In which episode does he talk about this?

Russo was most efficient when he had Vince McMahon going through his ideas and filter the good from the bad. That's why he was so inept in WCW because he didn't have that filter because the moment he was hired, he was given free reins and no one bothered to keep him in check. That's how we ended up with Viagra on a Pole matches and characters like Oklahoma and The Fat Chick Thriller.

[2017-03-12-NJPW-New Japan Cup] Kenny Omega vs Tomohiro Ishii
SirEdger replied to ShittyLittleBoots's topic in March 2017
Watched this match today and I loved it. It struck different for me from the usual Omega matches I had seen from that timeframe. I was under the feeling that Ishii made Omega adapt to his style by going for more strikes at first so he could eventually get to his arsenal. Like everyone, definitely echoing the love for Ishii's selling throughout the match (especially the spot when Ishii wants to go for another headbutt but sells his neck instead, leading to a tad overconfident Omega in the following minutes). Not a perfect match though as I felt the sequence when both were on the top rope with Omega trying to set up perhaps an Awesome Bomb took too long to my taste. But the finishing sequence was fantastic all around. **** for me -
Whenever I read yor shows, I always feel like everyone is a the right place at the right time on your cards. Major props for you in doing so. Seems like Al Perez has ascended the ladder of your territory since the last time I was here. Great match also between British Steel and the Hart Foundation!

FRANK VALOIS READY TO LAUNCH BACK LUTTE INTERNATIONALE, JANUARY 9TH, 1986 There is a lot of excitement in the air as Lutte Internationale is about to rise back from the ashes, although a very different look than it was in his heydays, when the Rougeaus, Dino Bravo and Ricky Martel were cheered by thousands of fans around Eastern Canada. "It certainly will make for an interesting dynamic," said promoter Frank Valois, president of Promotions Varoussac, the entity behind Lutte Internationale, "but I'm up for a challenge. First and foremost, I want to deliver quality wrestling to our great fanbase in Eastern Canada and I believe we can achieve that with a mix of veterans and newcomers." Frank Valois has assembled an intriguing ensemble cast to start off with the likes of Abdullah the Butcher and Baron Von Raschke, but Valois will also be able to count on a contingent of Japanese stars like Jumbo Tsuruta, Masanobu Fuchi and Yoshiaki Yatsu to bring an international flavour to his shows. "Truth be told, none of this would've been possible if one of my former business partners, Andre the Giant (former shareholder of Promotions Varoussac) hadn't laid out the groundwork with his extensive travels. He created numerous business opportunities for us and being trustworthy came a long way. Even as Andre is now working elsewhere, having someone like The Sheik being the middle man and allowing us to welcome talents from Japan. It's literally been a godsend for me to have someone like The Sheik on our roster. Also, he's a familiar face, considering his history in the Detroit area so numerous fans in Ontario will be thrilled to see him on our shows whenever we'll have events there." Right now, Frank Valois intends to tape TVs strictly at the Centre Paul-Sauvé in Montreal with a couple of touring events every week. Valois has secured a deal with CFCF-12 to broadcast their weekly TV and Valois is still thinking about the format he wants to use with his TV. "We have a 1 hour slot on CFCF-12 early Saturday nights so the plan is tape 2 TV shows in one night. We're still discussing with CFCF the frequency of those TV tapings because taping a bunch of shows early could give us some flexibility going forward with our touring events. We'll see how it goes first and move forward." Valois was also asked about the possibility of bringing in special guests for Lutte events, which might eventually lead to have special appearances by the Rougeaus, Dino Bravo or Rick Martel. "It's definitely in the plans to have special guests working our shows. In fact, I can already confirm that our first show on January 9th will serve as TV tapings and we've been able to secure the presence of One Man Gang for that night. My goal is to establish good working relationships with other promoters in order to secure more of those appearances. Right now, the NWA loaned us a couple of wrestlers, including Larry Zbyszko, who should be a major player once the race around the International Heavyweight Championship gets under way. I'm really excited about this and I hope that this will shine through what we will present to our fans, starting January 9th."

Always felt it wouldn't be right if the Sportatorium wasn't run in some fashion!

Lutte Internationale would like to sign Sunny War Cloud and Basher

A rivalry that started upon the first major moment and upset in the history of Monday Night RAW in 1993. From this rivalry would then ensue respect between both men - leading to Razor Ramon's babyface turn - and eventually, that rivalry would be rekindled when 1-2-3 Kid betrayed Razor Ramon to join the Millon Dollar Corporation in 1995. This is the thread to talk about everything Razor Ramon vs 1-2-3 Kid.

Indeed an interesting booking decision to have Roddy put Dunne over, considering that Adam Cole is apparently teaming up with Roddy for the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. I would've thought they'd give Roddy some momentum going into that.

Let's talk about how Brodie Lee Jr is putting some mustard on that Discus Lariat. That kid's got "it". In all seriousness, this is heartwarming to watch wrestlers from not only AEW but WWE making sure that Brodie Jr can take his mind off things in a very difficult time and just can be a kid again. And watching those clips made me realize how much this kid is a natural at this; probably because just like kids in general when they play around, he doesn't overthink things; he just let things flow and just do it.

Hmmm...might give that a look! Thanks for the link!

Less than 6 hours ago over here in Quebec so Bonne année, tabarnak! (And Happy New Year to all of you not speaking Québécois )

Glad to return at such an appropriate time (I shall start posting stuff in the next week or so!)

This tweet from Sami Zayn related to one of the images we saw tonight in the video tribute package for Brodie Lee.

I was teary-eyed pretty much the whole show tonight, even in the moments that I laughed (the paper toss + Brodie Jr hitting MJF with the kendo stick) but two particular moments broke me: Erick Redbeard with his sign while consoling John Silver and the moment where Brodie Jr came out with his mom to Brodie Lee's music. That was it and I was crying like a baby. I don't even recall being that emotional for Eddie Guerrero's tribute RAW.

That downward spiral is coming up fast.

I wouldn't be surprised if Conrad gave him the boot too; considering the people close to AEW he's doing podcasts with (Tony Schiavone, JR, Arn Anderson), that would be ill-advised to keep a lightning rod like Mitchell on his service.
