  1. I want to see more Murakami after what I read. Some recommendations from 2010 onwards.
  2. Kenta Kobashi had an amazing year in 2003, no one came close.
  3. Kiyoshi Tamura might be the wrestler of the year.
  4. We have just 4 minutes of this match but deserves a mention here anyway. Archie '' The Stomper'' Gouldie defends the North American Heavyweight Title. Talk about it here.
  5. His match against Yuki Ishikawa in November 2000 is a top 3 match of that year, he always stands out, Murakami is usually the highlight of every match he is in. I love his attitude in the ring but his case isn't deep enough for me.

    Tatsuo Nakano

He was incredible at receiving beatings like in his match against Funaki in 1989 when he ended up busted open by a vicious kick. I don't consider him for this conversation though.
  7. That's the best thing about Lou Thesz, we have great stuff but we don't even know if the matches that we have were the best he had to offer.
  8. I really appreciate the effort, the history of All Japan before the Triple Crown can be very confusing.
  9. Here's a link for the entire show: https://vk.com/search?c[per_page]=40&c[q]=marvelous 2023&c[section]=video&c[sort]=2&z=video-4499945_456250821 .
  10. I really liked Mio Momono vs Chikayo Nagashima from Marvelous 5/3/2023, it's the joshi MOTY for me so far.
  11. There's no way Tenryu ends up outside the top 10 in 2026, he was great for 25 years, very few wrestlers can say that when Genichiro Tenryu is at his best he looks like the greatest wrestler in the world.

    New Jack

Agree, he is an incredibly interesting character but nothing more unfortunately.
  13. I've seen that tag team match and Randy's performance was unbelieveable.
  14. Starts slow with The Spoiler stomping Wahoo McDaniel on the ground, the match quickly escalates and the masked wrestler takes the first fall of the match. In the second fall, Wahoo McDaniel comes back with a chop for the three count. In the third fall, Wahoo uses his opponent's mask to his advantage, he turns the mask sideways so he couldn't see, then The Spoiler blinded tried attack McDaniel instead he attacked the referee and his own manager, the referee called for the bell. Truly a classic, the best match of 1979 in my opinion. Another great match that took place in the Sam Houston Coliseum.
  15. I love how the crowd reacted to Sakaguchi's victory in the first fall, they went nuts everytime he hit a move on Dory Funk Jr but the heel champion came back, he took the next two falls in rather dominant fashion, Dory is still the NWA champion as we all expected. A great match, the people in the stands added a lot to the match and made it a classic.
  16. A technical 2 out of 3 falls masterpiece, it's the first Roy St Clair match I ever watched, I've seen his brother Tony many times before because of his legendary status among WoS enthusiast. The pace of this match is astounding, how they can move so fast and still make their offense look strong. Amazing match overall, not at the level of Inoki vs Jack Brisco but good enough to be considered among the best of 1971.
  17. A double count out draw, the match is very good, dThe Destroyer gets the first fall, Mil Máscaras gets the second but the ending is underwhelming, I've got mixed feelings on this one but I think that the good outweights the bad at the end of the day.
  18. A 60 minute time limit draw that amazed me, if they mantain this level of excellence throughout the year, both would be WOTY candidates.
  19. Agree, they made a headlock interesting, the chemistry between these two,it's fascinating how the third fall went down in four minutes. GREAT. I really want to see what they have to offer in 1977.
  20. Good stuff, from what we have it's a interesting 2/3 falls match with a convoluted final stretch, at the end of the day, the champion retains.
  21. A solid match, both workers were great, the highlight of the match was Dusty's crossbody, overall an interesting match. A short 2/3 falls match in the Sam Houston Coliseum.
  22. A very fun match from the feud of the year, Harley Race is the new NWA champion thanks to an Indian Deathlock. We only have 10 minutes but they aren't bad at all. GOOD.
  23. A really sloppy WWWF brawl between two wrestlers that are way past their prime. The finish doesn't help either.
  24. Chigusa had an amazing 1985. My runner up is Dump, it was close though.
  25. Aja Kong had a great year in 1994.
