Russ Davis is suddenly thrust into the discussion of best commentators ever. He's now in my top four. -

I went to a house show two months ago that had at least two fucking awesome matches, Rollins vs Ambrose and Shaemus vs Del Rio in an anything goes match.
-
My mind is blown that Dusty Rhodes isn't on here yet. Do I actually have to go find matches to have one of the best of all time be part of this? Christ, I'm a busy man. But if I have to...I'll get to it later.

And add in the other performance elements of being a great Pro Wrestler. Piper's definitely a top 100 guy. At least 50% of being a great Pro Wrestler is character work.

Excellent post... because that is what PWO should be, a place where people can have their own thoughts and ideas without being compelled to post in any particular way. Preach on, Brotha Man.

Titans Xtra - Lawler and Dundee: A New Hope https://soundcloud.com/jerryvonkramer/titans-xtra-lawler-and-dundee-a-new-hope So Pete and I decided to take a look at Wrestling's original Star Wars Trilogy , the Lawler /Dundee Loser Leaves Town matches of the 1980's. First we look at the Star Wars of the Jerry Lawler / Bill Dundee trilogy. We look at the build and the epic first match. Discussion includes: the greatness of Lance Russell, Dundee as a headliner, Lawler's greatness as a headliner and promo. Ken Patera's promo skills, The Jarrett Mansion, and lots more fun. Buckle up and enjoy the ride. The Build up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nndnrlQjZvs The Match

Fuck all this boring shoot-work promotion shit "outrage", THIS is the reason to yell at Parv.

Or maybe it was obvious she wasn't ready, and maybe Orton and her had a thing and it ended like things do, with Orton not being some douche tossing women aside and it had nothing to do with it.No offense, but this whole judging what a mid thirties Orton is like now based on how he acted when he was a kid on his early twenties is just exasperating. Does ANYBODY want to be permanently remembered by how they acted in their early twenties?

So basically, the point is still that HHH is behind recruiting and giving these guys a shot.

At the time I was working with a bunch of Peurto Rican dudes who were wrestling fans who thought Los Bouricuas were the greatest thing. So there's always an upside.

Cool. My list will be Memphisriffic.

I don't know, they certainly made points like that on the Best of Nitro DVDs they put out.

I always thought Balls was a great wrestler. He always entertained me. I loved that Balls/ RVD match from that one ECW PPV. -
Big Show is a perfect next guy for Brock. Henry is feuding with Rusev, Show has a personal reason for revenge, and they have a history.

Didn't mean to imply that Steamboat wasn't a draw, but late-70s/early-80s money is not the same as mid/late-80s or Nitro-era money. My point was, Savage was a bigger draw, and there's a reason for that. Savage was a bigger draw because of his character. He was an amazing over the top character and he exploded off of the TV screen.

I think both Jesse and Vince turned up the volume ,for lack of a better term, on SNME.

Double 0 Malenko "Ladies Man" was outstanding. -
There's a big difference between the Philly crowd having fun and being a part of the experience and douchey smart fans chanting "CM PUNK" or whatever just to be "smart". Especially since Paul E wanted the fans to be part of the show.

I'd imagine that the fact that Severn was a totally legit bad motherfucker was a big part of why he was champ. (And seperately, he's a hell of a nice guy.)

I've had no issues at all with my Roku 3. I'm in love with the thing. Not just for the Network but everything I've found on weird obscure channels .
