WWE TV 10/26 - 11/1 Afa and Sika endorsed the Usos getting beat up
rovert replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
Not that she burnt her bridge with everyone in talent relations/decision-maker that matters years ago on pretty much an individual basis. Things might change given the rate of change in Pro Wrestling. But it isn't happening anytime soon. -

Meltzer also four months reported WWE was interested in Tessa. I've no idea were Meltzer got this info from but Thunder Rosa to WWE is unlikely. The real story should come out soon. -
I don't think it is as true these days but on the indies but Ricochet had a serious rep of being arrogant or coming across that way. He started very young and had a lot of working on himself to do. Rey Mysterio has always been this angelic likeable dude. There's a Mexican term for having a halo of your head that I don't have the Spanish for. But Rey has more much of likeability factor and specialness. I think the difference in both is simply you can bury one and not bury the other.

It wasn't made up. He spoke to both Ivelisse and Thunder Rosa before the match aired. I spoke to several AEW wrestlers they all referred to it as a shoot. And SRS has stuck to the report completely. What planet are you on and what are you basing this on? There's no Ivelisse witch hunt agenda from me. She can't get booked by most indie promotions in the US as other women will book off from any show is on. Nothing you've said is factual. Thunder Rosa's position is pretty clear here for example also

Not really. Ultimately it is something for Kylie to talk about one day. I wouldn't sweep that under the rug completely in talking to her friends in and outside of AEW male and female at the time. The same goes for several non-F4W affiliated journalists. Personally, I never went asking about it people came to me beginning with Kylie missing two weekends of indie dates and asking if I had heard anything and it all snowballed from there. You can believe what you want to believe but Kylie herself has posted several messages contradicting the clean narrative on that situation.

Excited for Bayley and Sasha to be fighting side by side against the Raw brand next Friday. Seriously though. It is a bank holiday over here and the show is starting an hour earlier as our clocks change before the US does. So I will be at least better able to enjoy it. Only five matches announced so far also so hoping for a breezy show that I am not bleary-eyed for the main event for. I hope Usos eventually end up joining Reigns as six man matches with the Dynasty vs Bryan, Owens & another partner would be fun.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful is doing the best reporting any reporter could do in this situation. If you follow Kylie's interviews your assessment is slightly off base, NintendoLogic with respect. She's someone with a myriad of life long mental health situations and Wrestling is her escape and the like the only place she feels normal. And she has sought help multiple times in the past she isn't in denial. It isn't like say a recovering drug addict who should stay away from Pro Wrestling to avoid old habits, running buddies and triggers. In saying all that I really don't know what the answer is but she's most likely better suited to working one-off indie shots or in the battle royal or gauntlet at BFG instead of being the semi-main against a wrestler she hero-worships at the very least.

Something weird seemingly happened during her Collective match with Josh Alexander two weeks ago - I doubt it was Josh more in the sense she may have had a panic attack or something of that nature. She ran to the back immediately after winning and then pulled out of her booking on the next day with no real explanation. Hopefully whatever it is isn't serious. In terms of the PPV, it was a super letdown and I regretted saying up for it. If only they had more matches on the card were as good as the main event. I wish IMPACT had more straight matches. A scramble, gauntlet and a cinematic match were way too much.

With Abadon's face makeup and eye contacts, it would likely be even harder to assess when/where to throw the next kick.
-
I *think* the kick sequence Tay does (Daniel Bryan's YES Kicks basically) caught her in the throat. Tay's rhythm on them has always been off. But yeah I read the same speculation that it is a torn ACL too.

"Jake Roberts's entire family" -is more "Grizzly Smith" which is obviously irredeemably depressing story. I just hope it isn't a lazy cash-in on the True Crime/Youtube obsession with Paedos in the last two or years.

So Talking Smack confirmed 5 other draft picks -Drew Gulak went to Raw -Humberto Carrillo stayed on Raw -Kalisto is staying on Smackdown -Buddy Murphy went to Smackdown -Tucker went to Raw Tucker's career is pretty DOA but he might find his feet in Raw Underground. We are getting the full Mysterio saga on Smackdown instead of Raw. Gulak is versatile enough to roll with the punches and his matches on Main Event might be fun enough.

James Drake was turbo rejected by BritWres/PROGRESS fans initially to a really cruel dehumanising/running him off degree. He's a stronger man than me even just stepping in the ring let alone weathering through the abuse to become a contributory member of a World-class tag team. Drake isn't the fifth ring post by a long shot! Before the pandemic, the Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson) were called up from NXT UK to the real Orlando NXT. Six months on the NXT tag division is rough going to say thing least.

C.S.'s opinion of Kyle is really weird to me. He's considered one of the best wrestlers in the World for many years now. He's hardly generic. In-ring he's above nearly all his peers. The Prime Target documentary on last week's TV really put him and his personal story over very strongly. Expect Kyle and Balor's health status to be updated with worse news. And for Balor to be out for a while. Which will throw a wrench into their booking plans. I think the Ember Moon and Toni Storm reveal was done the way it was for two reasons. Firstly to flip the script on the division and have a wow factor. Secondly, Toni was only on video and won't be able to appear in person for a number of weeks yet as I've been lead to believe she isn't in the Country and has to quarantine first. Ember Moon could appear in person and obviously going from talking about retirement five months to return would be a memorable moment. Ember on Twitter said she was in hiding/kayfabing in Florida for a month prior to this. I assume Ember is there to keep Io occupied until Toni can show up.

I am not doing the internet bully boy deal on the Meltzer/Becky deal. I am honestly interested. In terms of influence every female wrestler that has come after if has cited Bayley vs Sasha's NXT Brooklyn match to an astonishing degree. From public interviews, my personal experience to the late Casey Michael's podcasts with emergent women. That match inspired SO many women to sign up to wrestling class. Recent NXT recruit Indi Hartwell is one of them. I think the influence argument is stronger with those two. Again this isn't original WON HOF level strength points but the match made a serious dent in the industry and will be reference point at WMX Ladder match level.
-
Never said he did. Just he was never taken with her on the level of Charlotte or the ELITE or whatever. Becky was never someone who leaked or talked to the sheets, brother.
-
For the record, I am not a voter. I am not against maintaining original WON HOF standards but Pro Wrestling HAS changed and become more about the brand on a WWE level and elsewhere niche. The Observer and Meltzer's star ratings have changed and greatly reflected the indie uprising and the formation of AEW. Chuck Taylor has ***** match now for example to ignore the Observer/Meltzer's approach is just ignoring reality. Cornette IS both doing a grift and reflecting a culture war between old school/original subscribers vs more recent ones. Brian Last says he discounts Meltzer's modern ratings by a *1/4-*1/2 now.

Helpful.

Yet you don't explain how it is ironic or why it is hilarious. Please explain and back up you baseless rhetoric.

"He literally said he thinks Becky Lynch will be the first American woman to be inducted into his hall of fame." Link me please as I am honestly interested and you feel so strongly about this. Again please stop making up imaginary quotes it is completely pointless.

Laz's post is all valid and I agree with it. But Vince wants a modern music industry 360 style contract but at the end of the day, the talent won't do shit. Last year and years before on Twitter, I said they won't do shit then got called out by (young wet behind the ears) people hepped up on Bernie, Corbyn, David Starr as right-wing/alt-right for doing so. WWE talent didn't do shit. The same fans said ACH when he left NXT and when Sami Zayn was secretly being a father for first time that they were starting a union in rumours conjured out of thin air. IF WWE talents start a union I'll be 110% behind them trust me. Until then it is Wrestling fans a lot of which are in shit and precarious jobs fretting others earning x10 times than them. I get caring, caring about exploitation and caring about their future. But boo hoo they have to maybe wrestle for 3-20 minutes a week and play video games for 5 figures a week.
-
If the completely made-up quote by you was anywhere close to what I've had said I'd agree but no. Eye-roll-worthy from you. Add something more and constructive to the topic next time. Meltzer wasn't really a Champion of Becky's fleeting/brief rise and I stand by that. And if it was discussed at any real length it would be shot down by Meltzer. The WON HOF still needs to changed/adapted for the brand era of modern wrestling and the "length on top" run should be shortened for female Wrestlers as they do have a small window before thinking about any of the 4HW.

You are wrong and at best citing brief fleeting incidents especially on Charlotte. And I do listen to him and his work. And all the times he completely ignored Charlotte's botched moonsaults and shitty chops.
