khawk20
Mr. Saito wins the AWA title from Larry Zbyszko, 2/10/90, Japan. Â Zbyszko regains the title, 4/90, St. Paul (end portion only exists). Â Those were the last hurrah for the AWA title and both are decent enough, IMO. Â The Final Surivior Battleroyal for the Team Challenge Series might also rate here if you want to preserve the last bit of the AWA's existence. The promotion basically closed after that card in Rochester as I recall. If you just want the "best" bouts, however, skip this one.

Bix
Lots of USWA both from the Dallas and Memphis ends.  Off the top of my head:  - Steve Austin-Chris Adams feud (Which also had plenty of stuff on the KTVT show, a lot of which is on McAdam's Austin comps)  - Jerry Lawler-Snowman feud that started with a famous "shoot angle" that was a lot more plausible than most  - John Tatum-Bill Dundee feud (Also notable for including an angle where Tatum superkicked Tessa on the same show as Austin splashing Toni Adams, whcih got them kicked off KTVT after decades)  - Unified Title Tournament (Hell of a card that fills several weeks of TV, notable and good matches include Mark Callous between WCW and WWF facing Dundee and Lawler, Terry Funk vs Brickhouse Brown, Dick Murdoch vs Samurai, Jarrett vs Eddie Gilbert, Funk vs Keirn, Lawler vs Slater, Funk vs Murdoch, Idol vs Gilbert, Lawler vs Funk, and Lawler vs Idol)  - Funk wins Unified Title from Lawler  - GWF hype with Mr. Oliami in the crowd and the USWA being accepted into the GWF.  - Some Lawler-Kerry stuff.  - Misc. stuff like Jarrett's courtship by and feud with Devasation Inc including him and Billy Travis carrying Chico Torres and Sweet Daddy Falcone to a great match. Loss
Since 1990 seems to be the start of the Three Musketeers push, I wanted to see if there are any matches that are important in their ascension that should go on a yearbook, even if the matches themselves aren't great. We can always do finish only if it's a big win that was key in making one of those guys a star. Â I also wanted to ask if there are any All Japan matches that may not jump off the page when looking at the list of WON ratings that are important for a different reason and should go on. I would especially be interested in pre-May recommendations. I'm guessing the last Jumbo/Tenryu match is a must, especially when we can add an SWS match not too long after to show him jumping ship. Loss
Will hit back with more later but the last ride of the midnights at hh90 is sort of a below the radar must both for match quality and importance. Not because it's great or anything, but I think Team DiBiase vs. Team Dusty from the Surivor Series would need to be included simply for the historical impact. These will definitely go on. Â WWF PTW Thanks for all the recommendations. From your list, is there anything that may not look good on paper (like a Bravo match, just as an example) that should still be considered for some other reason? Â Besides the blatantly obvious (ie. Liger/Sano, Jumbo/Misawa), I'd say the following. I'll expand on any if it's needed. Â AJ: -Jumbo & Tiger Mask vs Tenryu & Fuyuki, 1/14 -Tenryu & Kawada vs Jumbo & Isao Takagi, 1/20 -Hansen & Spivey vs Jumbo & Kobashi, 4/16 -Jumbo vs Tenryu, 4/19 -Kawada & Nakano vs Fuyuki & Kikuchi, 5/26 -Hansen vs Williams, 6/5 -Jumbo vs Gordy, 6/5 -Gordy vs Hansen, 6/5 -Williams vs Kobashi, 6/8 -Kawada vs Kobashi, 6/30 -Jumbo, Taue & Fuchi vs Misawa, Kawada & Kikuchi, 8/18 -Joe Malenko & Kikuchi vs The Fantastics, 9/1 -Jumbo & Taue vs Misawa & Kawada, 9/30 -Jumbo, Taue & Fuchi vs Misawa, Kawada & Kobashi, 10/19 -Jumbo, Taue & Mighty Inoue vs Misawa, Kawada & Kobashi, 10/21 -Jumbo & Taue vs Misawa & Kawada, 12/7 -One of the MVC vs Misawa/Kawada tags. Loss
You're both correct. Cornette is in the territory at the tail end of 1990, but the turn on Lawler happens on either the first or second TV of '91.

Loss
The rough draft is still being developed. I guess really the only recommendations to make are for things that didn't air on PPV, a Clash, or aren't ranked ****+ in the WON. That's pretty much the rough draft at this point, so anything outside of those categories can still be recommended.
