kjh
Amusing Hall Of Fame poll results from Dave.com, I'm sure Dylan will find it funny too: --What full-time active wrestler has the strongest Hall of Fame credentials? Dylan Waco
It's a shame I don't have access to the board, because i would absolutely roll out a a "500 guys not in the Observer Hall of Fame who are better candidates than Kurt Angle" thread. tomk
At this point, I don't think the polls reflect the board.

Dylan Waco
That's not surprising. Honestly I may go through each of these candidates with my own thoughts on each this week if I have some spare time as there are guys on these list that I legit think belong on the ballot and others that I think merit a look in comparison to guys who are heavily touted by Dave and co. now. Also I wonder if I should send a file with my Patera stuff to Dave or not. I actually think he might be the best of the American guys not on the ballot after looking over everything (though I could be convinced that JYD and Tommy Rich are better and I'm excluding Jimmy Hart who in my view falls under the category of "whoops!" omisssion) but he's also a candidate that stands no chance if he doesn't have the inside track with Dave or someone else with a bully pulpit. I don't regret the Blackwell research and still think he's an interesting candidate, but Patera is really the stronger pick for a variety of reasons. shoe
I actually thin I'm excluding Jimmy Hart who in my view falls under the category of "whoops!" omisssion) but he's also a candidate that stands no chance if he doesn't have the inside track with Dave or someone else with a bully pulpit. The time might be right to championing Hart. After the Memphis Heat DVD, Dave was really putting Hart over on the doc.
sek69
Between the names listed on the polls and the people who usually end up winning them, there's definitely some trolling going on. Not sure if it's Dave or the readers doing it. Maybe both, but if you include Kevin Nash on a HOF poll someone's being fucked with for sure. Loss
It's worth a separate thread. From there, I can expand on my point that this is all useless. The WON HOF is becoming a self-serving concept. More people have to be inducted to keep it going, when almost everyone who deserves to be in is already in. IIRC, Toyota came first, Stratus second. Not surprising given how she's been put over as a worker by Meltzer for all these years and being pushed as a legend by Chikara recently. jdw
For those wanting to push Fujiwara, one avenue to chase is his impact on training the guys who ended up in UWF 1.0 and 2.0. I know Gotch is given a lot of credit as the godfather of the style... but I've also seen Hisa refer to Maeda and Takada as his "students" and that this was the original Fujiwara Family. Not insignificant, and likely plays to Dave's Pro Wrestling = MMA love. John
