I went back and watched some of Paige's previous work in NXT and she does tend to give away a lot of her matches there too, but nothing to the extent of her WWE run.

And it's not like she doesn't have the offense to work with - her fisherman suplex looks solid and she can certainly lay in some decent kicks and dropkicks to the midsection. But, for whatever reason, she's leaving virtually all of it on the table right now. It's really weird.

She has had that problem - let's call it a lack of assertiveness going back to her days on the indies. Her role was being soundly beaten by her opponents. The only time she went 50/50 with her opponent from what I've seen were in matches with her mother.

I'm wondering who was dense enough to think that would go over. But a lot of it is simply the inattention WWE gives to the division. How you work a match can only take you so far if fans have no idea who you are or have no reason to care. There's no heel fans hate in the division anyway for her to feud with until Charlotte gets called up or AJ returns. The Alicia thing is cute but has anyone actually had their career improved by a losing streak/whining gimmick?

I can definitely see Rollins transitioning from the workhorse of The Shield to the workhorse of The Authority. His turn makes sense in that respect, as HHH won't want to be working every week and Orton has wrestled the entire roster time after time. Having Rollins wrestle for them every week keeps things ticking over.

news from Meltz F4W

All the segments with Bryan lately have been put together by Vince. He is personally overseeing all of his angles and the direction of the title. I had thought this while watching as he is probably speaking through Steph.

they booked a stretcher match with Bryan and Kane because they want the feud to continue past the PPV. At this point the company does not expect Bryan will be able to work the show

So if Daniel Bryan can't come back in time for MITB, who do you think they put the title on in the MITB Ladder match? I would assume we'll see Cena, Orton, Wyatt & Cesaro all get added to the match since there's no way Alberto Del Rio is winning it.

Do we have any sense of whether Ziggler actually moves metrics? Or is it just a vocal part of the live audience that is behind him? It could be the illusion of goodwill.

Over at DVDVR, I said they should put it on Brock and I still think they should. That way they could even play up his absence as a strength, that his contract lets him have the time between fights he had in MMA but they can't strip him of the belt and that he's basically holding WWE hostage and no one can stop him. You could have Heyman basically running things with Cesaro (holding a secondary belt that in Brock's absence becomes a primary belt), and play up Bryan as sort of the savior of the WWE in trying to get the belt back when he's healthy again.

Ziegler's certainly lost enough this year to win the title. I wonder if they stick Rusev in MITB to transition to a Cena program. It's still too early, but Cena facing a monster heel sounds like a safe bet for Summerslam.

I've said since the moment Bryan's surgery was announced that they should have stripped him of the title right away and made move to put it on Bray.

Keeping the title on Bryan through all of this is doing nothing good for anyone. Stripping him wouldn't have hurt him and it's actually undermining the whole authority angle because why the hell after months of trying to run him down would they not take the first opportunity to strip him? The only reason anyone has given for why they haven't stripped him is a throwaway line from Stephanie that she didn't want to "make him a martyr"...uh what the fuck have you guys been doing since Summerslam then? It makes no kayfabe sense to keep the title on him and it actively hurts the rest of the show because it leaves a lot of guys in limbo. Plus getting stripped of the title and coming back to win it again would only make Bryan hotter. This company is so fucking obtuse sometimes.

Part of me thinks if he can't wrestle at the PPV, a fan favorite babyface should at least be the one to win Money In The Bank so people don't feel completely and totally ripped off. So Ziggler came to mind, even if it's just for a short run. I think Dolph could make Brock look like a million bucks in dropping the title to him too, and it's not like they'd be sacrificing someone that's a key player in their future plans to do it either.

If Bryan can return on schedule and doesn't have to forfeit the title, I reckon we're looking at:

- Cesaro wins MITB.

- Lesnar returns prior to Summerslam, demands a title match since he conquered the streak.

- Lesnar beats Bryan at Summerslam to raise the title, Cesaro cashes in and officially turns face, he narrowly defeats a weakened Lesnar to win the title.

- Lesnar goes mad on the post Summerslam Raw, demands that as a Heyman guy, Cesaro relenquishes the title to him, Cesaro refuses, Heyman can't do shit so Brock "quits" again.

- DB moves onto another feud, WWE gets time to experiment with Cesaro on top, probably goes into feud against Heyman's next guy.

At some point following this:

- Lesnar returns, has his revenge match against Cesaro

- Bryan regains the title, possibly doing a heel turn at some point because WWE will be running Cena, Cesaro, and Reigns all as the top faces.
