There's almost no possible stip that could matter with Cena after his booking over the years.

Maybe a hair match, actually.

Cena has super regenerative powers. His hair would grow back the next day.

Channeling my inner creative team, my prediction is that team Cena will lose, then John will have to fight all 5 members of the Authority in a Handicap match on Raw in order to win back their jobs.

So according to Ricardo's shoot, Seth Rollins and Summer Rae both ended up with heat backstage for the grave offense of using ice packs. Apparently, they hadn't been around long enough to deserve them or something. This fucking company, man...

I don't think there's anything about WWE's business practices I wouldn't believe. They've entered the Tyson Zone for me. If some newz site claimed that midcard pushes were based on whose tears Vince thought were the most delicious, I wouldn't dismiss it out of hand.

Yeah, that Seth Rollins has been punished as fuck......Fuck Ricardo. There's no better way to have real awful stuff about racism there get buried than by it coming out of the mouth of a guy who's also full of shit and a fucking zero. This same shoot has fucking RICARDO going on about " back in my day we knew how to act in the locker room before these kids came in" or some such awfulness.

I haven't heard the Ricardo shoot, but from his stuff on MLW and other places...everything he says doesn't come off as too incredible. What stuck out to you?

Just watch the preview of it in the Shoots thread. Stuff like him claiming he had a locker room confrontation with all 3 of the Shield and bitched them out, acting like he's some long time veteran shaking his head at the new kids, claiming that he put together a lot of Del Rio's matches. Ricardo is full of shit.

This. That RF shoot was unbearable.

I was wondering who's even left on the roster to play the Bob Holly/JBL/Benoit role of "grumpy locker room vet who gives grief to the punk kids". Didn't think it would be Ricardo.

on the free figure 4 daily Bryan mentions there was a meeting a few days ago where a change was made to the main event. He said he didn't know what kind of change or even if it involved the finish. Either way the plan with all this is to have an excuse for Vince to appear on TV Monday. Bryan theorizes, like many others have, that there will be a disputed finish and that Hunter and Stephanie will have a shot to win their power back at the TLC PPV.

Certainly makes sense from a financial perspective - use the free PPV to hook the fans enough to want to see the conclusion at TLC, and thus subscribe to the network so as not to miss out on a proper finale. The major problem in practise is that the feud isn't hot in the least, and that literally nobody has faith that the WWE will ever produce a conclusive finish that has any kind of repercussions that last longer than a couple of weeks.

I already subscribed to the WWE Network, so even if it weren't a free month, I would be able to watch Survivior Series.

That being said, as part of having the WWE Network, even if the build-up is bad or I don't care about any of the matches, I always watch the live PPVs. It's just a lot of value & a big perk of being a subscriber.

I wonder if this free month was more a test to see how many people actually ARE cheap & don't get the network so they can find out if the $9.99 is the problem or not. I don't think it is, personally. I think it's more the technological barrier & people not wanting to watch wrestling on something other than their television. I mean, you can get a Roku device & all that stuff, or stream to your TV or whatever but not a lot of people older than me are familiar with that sort of thing. I read recently that WWE's biggest demographic is people 40+ years of age.

Yep, even J.R. himself seems pretty clueless about this. He always talks about the "new and unique" experience of watching PPVs on his iPad.

My mother is in her fifties and still can't figure out the digital cable remote control. I wouldn't even want to see her try to figure out how to turn on a computer, let alone work one.

It's mind boggling how many people 50 and above think the only way to access a website is to type it in a search bar and click on the top result. I can't even imagine those folks trying to use any kind of streaming service.

The best thing about my old man is that if he put his mind to it, he could master any fucking computer or modern device. He's 75 and done that his whole life with every undertaking he's taken on. He just doesn't care enough I guess. It makes for great jokes, though. I can finally bust his balls about something he's not good at.

So, it seems the stip is actually that if Team Cena loses all of the members EXCEPT John Cena will get fired.....so I am now 100% behind this being exactly what is going to happen.
