Don't sleep on the Rhodes Brothers vs Real Americans on Smackdown tonight. Little barn burner.

Fabulous 3Birds:

I saw it on tv. Liked it but thought the ending sucked a bit. I didn't care if the Real Americans won or not, but it felt like the Real Americans really mauled the Rhodes, only to lose completely clean after too short of a babyface comeback. It said to me Swagger is nearly worthless which may have been the point.

I liked the match, but it is actually kind of sad how much better Dustin is than Cody. Even worse is that the fans clearly know it as he is vastly more over than Cody and it is obvious in all of these matches. I am sure this will come across as looking for something bad to say, but honestly it is jarring how big the difference in the Rhodes Brothers matches is when Dustin is in v. when Cody is in.

Dustin was a lot better at Cody's age than Cody is now.

Honestly I think Cody is the most hot and cold guy in wrestling. Every now and again he will have a period where he looks like he is starting to get it...and then it's like he falls off a cliff. The normal thing to do here is to blame WWE booking and I'm sure that's a factor, but in the case of Cody I think it's as much him as it is the writers. I have liked him as part of this team with his brother more than any other time in his career and even still the disparity is so noticeable that it can be distracting

Kinda makes you wish they could swap ages. Dustin was always a great worker but it is both awesome and shame that he is putting up what is his best stretch of week to week input at a point where he probably caught fire unintentionally and the real life "Authority" is passively looking for a way/reason to replace him with someone younger or someone they would feel more comfortable investing in long term.

I'm not much enthusiastic about going to Survivor Series tomorrow night. People seem to be practically giving away their tickets on Craigslist. Having only five matches announced may make for the Elimination match getting some really good long time though. But that's really all I care to watch. I'd probably get good and wasted beforehand for the show but then remembered I'm sitting in the first row of the balcony. Don't want to end up moonsaulting into the Loge below during the Divas match. :D

I know Cena is back, but just having him in a forgettable match with ADR isn't going to help the fact that this PPV is headlined by Big Show and Randy Orton. The last few PPVs have all had pretty weak line-ups but this one is the worst.

Which is weird because Big Show got over as a guy people wanted to see snap and KO the heels into hell. It is like the WWE misfired on attempting to reconcile both the fans' interest in the babyface vs the big main event heel program and their desire to have that guy be a bigger than life presence. Too bad for them. Maybe they shouldn't have killed Daniel Bryan dead and only give him a weak concession of taking out Shawn Michaels.

Dish Network has been running an odd promo for Survivor Series on one of its preview channels over the weekend. The first ten minutes is part of a 2008 match with Michaels, Mysterio, Khali, and Cryme Tyme vs. JBL, Kane, MVP, the Miz, and Morrison. Then they run the Wyatt Family commercial for this year's show. Then they show ten minutes of the Rock and Cena vs. Miz and R Truth from 2011. I would think WWE could have put a package together to actually promote this year's show, but I guess they don't really care, or they want to trick people into thinking that they will see stars from the past.

McIntyre actually had his finger taped up for the Oriental Spike.....good eye on detail, even though the whole thing was stupid.

It would be nice if they put the same effort into their PPVs that they put into producing a rib on Michael Hayes.

No shit. If they put the effort into Survivor Series that they did for that, and making fun of AJ's dehydration on Monday night, it might be a good show.
