El Boricua
I think we agreed that the only non-draftable freelancers are Bruiser Brody, Abdullah the Butched, Mil Mascaras & The Sheik. Minis and women's are also freelancers and not draftable? Yes, women and minis should also be freelancers, although we were thinking of making them separate touring troupes from the brute squad. Should we compile a list of women and minis available at this time?
El Boricua
If someone has time, could they put together a list of who's protected? Hash this out now. El Boricua has a question about saves and owners. We have 5 hours to straighten this out. The discussion when I asked about Carlos Colon's status as owner was that it was thought to be too much of an advantage to get Carlos Colon as owner + a save pick. To avoid causing too much of an issue and derailing the process further, I used my save pick on Carlos (although the subject of who qualified as an owner for each territory has not yet been made clear). We do need to make a list of owners since there are people (Al Tomko, Dick the Bruiser, etc.) that would not be available in the draft due to this. JHawk
For those who use TEW 13, as we go along I'm going to try to set up a database based on this draft. If anybody would like that when we're done (and if I don't slack on it between this and the other three projects I'm working on) let me know. Kiniski was around but I think it was all Tomko then. Monsoon was still active in WWC at this time but not for long. Race was in Central States as part owner. One thing that we gotta talk about is St. Louis & Houston......they were controlled by Central States & Mid-South but both brought in lots of outside talent too. Toronto also would fall into that group in terms of having JCP supply the talent for the shows, although we already have Grimmas in charge there. There's three options: 1 - Have Central States and Mid-South be in charge of those areas. 2 - Find someone to run each of these areas. 3 - Ignore them for the moment. KrisZ
Toronto had JCP & WWF talent there at the same time then. I think what we should do is have the territories run the towns but if they want outside talent to come in it's encouraged

If somebody didn't save Lawler, Race or Colon, then there would be some tricky area, but nobody is going to draft Jack Tunney or anything. El Boricua
I propose just designating one person per company as owner, preferably the less active wrestler of the ones listed. I think this is the most fair to everyone. I do have some doubts about who would be the designated Montreal owner though. This would be the owner for each company that we would get: Georgia Championship Wrestling - Jim Barnett, Jim Crockett Promotions - Jim Crockett Jr. World Class Championship Wrestling - Fritz von Erich Portland Wrestling - Don Owen Mid South Wrestling - Bill Watts Memphis Wrestling - Jerry Jarrett International Championship Wrestling - Angelo Poffo American Wrestling Association - Verne Gagne World Wrestling Association - Dick the Bruiser World Wrestling Federation - Vince McMahon Maple Leaf Wrestling - One of the Tunneys World Wrestling Council - Victor Jovica South Eastern - Ron Fuller Championship Wrestling from Florida - Eddie Graham South Western - Joe Blanchard Montreal - Frank Valois or Gino Brito? Central States - Bob Geigel Stampede - Stu Hart All Star Wrestling - Al Tomko Does this seem fair to everyone?
dawho5
Bravo was listed as an active wrestler for Montreal. Might be a good idea to take him off the owners list.

Should I leave Valois or Brito as the owner? Or should it be someone else?
dawho5
Looks like Brito is also on there. Valois is not an active wrestler so it seems he is the one.
Grimmas
Could we get a name for this project/game? Calling it 1983 will seem strange in 6 months.

Flyin' Brian
Cross Face Chicken Wing called it the PWO Armchair Booking fantasy draft project when he made his pick. That's a mouthful. Shortening it to PWO Fantasy Draft is ok with me.
Grimmas
At this pace the draft will finish right on time to start in July. I am itching to writing out my July 1st Canada Day card! I know a lot of people will run July 4th shows, but in Canada we have the 1st (well in Quebec they celebrate Jean Baptiste Day on June 24th, so out of luck). We can straighten out the freelancers for July while we wait for people to draft? Should we do a random thing or put it on some kind of cycle following the draft or what? All I know is I need minis on July 1st!
Flyin' Brian
I guess the order doesn't really matter, we could use the first round draft order or randomize it again, as long as everyone gets a turn.
El Boricua
Just to be clear, the calendar we're using is 2015 and not 1983? So July 1 in our fantasy booking is on a Wednesday, not on a Friday? http://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/?year=1983&country=1 I want to make sure so that there is consistency on what days are Saturdays and Sundays for our booking purposes. Although to get the 1983 calendar just add two days (so if it's Monday this year, it's Wednesday in 1983).
