So it seems pretty certain that the person everyone thinks is going to be in the Rumble will be there. And the RAW and Smackdown tapings as well next week. I seriously doubt he is winning the Rumble but I would think he is a final 4 person in the Rumble if you are going to book like a major surprise and major superstar. You can't treat him like he is a Mil Mascaras or Carlos Colon or Diesel last year entrant where they are really there for the name only I would think.

The problem with debuting someone in the Rumble is that you have to be especially creative about it since that person probably isn't going to win. That hasn't been WWE's strong suit as of late.

Presumed Rumble entrants (12): Alberto del Rio, Dean Ambrose, The Dudleys (I’d pick them to win the pre-show even though they’re the worst choice), HHH, Kalisto, Kevin Owens, The New Day, The Usos.

So who are the 5 surprises? Feels like they might throw the last 3 remaining Social Outcasts in there (Slater, Dallas, Rose) just so they can embarrass them some more. But then you’ve got room for That Guy Who Everyone Expects to Debut and one more. I’d guess one Friend of Hunter, or one NXT guy? Maybe like Road Dawg, or Corbin if they wanna premiere him as a monster who gets to eliminate a couple guys? Or they pull the trigger on Joe, even if it’s one night only?

This match/show needs such a shot in the arm that I’d just use the Outcasts as Axel’s lackeys on the outside and find three interesting outsiders/nostalgia acts. The days of bringing in the modern-day equiv. of Mascaras or Tenryu for one show are long over, but just for people you have standing around backstage, you could get some good crowd pops for some mix of Apollo Crews, Sami Zayn, Zack Ryder, Albert, Finlay, Lita, IRS, or X-Pac. Weird to think that anyone pre-Attitude Era (like Rotundo) would be met w/ confused apathy by most kids in their teens or younger.

Gangrel is from Florida and I'd pop for him coming in, spitting "THAT RED LIQUID" into someone's eyes before they tumble over the top rope. What's Santino doing? At this point, I'm pretty much only watching this match for the surprise entrants.

Maybe I'm being too optimistic, but I see HHH doing something dastardly to cost Roman rather than being an actual entrant. They already established in WWE canon that Hunter has too many office duties to be champion, so I think they'll go the route of having him cause the elimination. Maybe he can be Hogan to Roman's Sid and just yank him out of the ring.

 

Also on a selfish note, I don't want him in the match and winning because I don't think I can handle an entire WM season full of people bitching about HUN-TOR again.

Curtis Axel should get not-eliminated again this year. And next year. And every year. It's not much, but it's at least a running gag for a guy who doesn't have much else going. That got Kofi through a few years of nothing until New Day caught on.

If he wasn't injured, this would a situation MADE for a guy like Rusev to win. I feel like I've said this before:

 

- For the Survivor Series tournament a couple months ago when he was hurt

- For the Money in the Bank briefcase last summer when he was hurt

 

He's had some terrible luck since the Cena feud.

Curtis Axel should get not-eliminated again this year. And next year. And every year. It's not much, but it's at least a running gag for a guy who doesn't have much else going. That got Kofi through a few years of nothing until New Day caught on.

I think Axel will get number 30, but HHH will jump him and take his spot to try and get to Reigns when he still hasn't been eliminated. Then Axel keeps his gimmick another year and they find a way for HHH to enter (and probably win it) without having to announce him being in beforehand.

I wish there were more legends instead of half the guys in and would prefer no one already in other matches being in. A bunch of legends coming back for one last shot at the gold would up the prestige of the match imo.

 

I think whatever injury Rusev had was a minor one, he wrestled on Raw and SD this week.

I agree with this. If, for no other reason, because when a Legend comes back, you get the surprise pop. Half, maybe even more than half, of this Rumble is going to be jobbers. Every time someone like Heath Slater or Curtis Axel or Jey Uso come out, the crowd is going to groan with disappointment.

I don't know where to put this... but it certainly doesn't deserve it's own thread. Tammy Sytch, formerly Sunny in WWF, signed on to make a porn movie with Vivid Entertainment. I think that's the same company Chyna did hers for? Not sure. Anyway, in the past, WWE, namely Triple H, cited Chyna's adult work as a reasoning for not including her into the WWE Hall of Fame. So since "Sunny" is already in, what are WWE going to do?

 

And this isn't a hypothetical thing... there's already an officially released XXX trailer for the movie. So it's not just speculation anymore.

 

So will WWE now induct Chyna, remove Sunny, or act like it never happened?

 

Also apparently this came about because Tammy wanted to hock her Hall of Fame ring or something.

The issue with Chyna's video is hers had porn parodies of Vince and Steph, and Hunter didn't want his kids seeing porno versions of mom and granddad. If Sunny did that with hers, then there's a discussion to be had. Otherwise, it's apples and oranges IMO.

All I remembered was Triple H saying what happens if someone uses Google to look-up Chyna. Now that same thing will happen with Sunny. Going into the details of the scene specifically seems like it should have never even got that far. "Well, we watched it and it would've been OK except they did that." The convo shouldn't go that deep, should it?
