C.S.
While no one wants a 60-minute Iron Man Match between these two, this is the epitome of laziness and a huge kick in the balls to anyone who attended this live. I really hope Lesnar is done with WWE after Mania and retreats back to UFC.
El-P
The one thing really bad about this is the awful bump Kane takes of the F5. For the rest, blame the booking, not Lesnar (not that I want to defend him, I have found him mostly dreadfull forever now unless he gets thrown around by Braun). NickH
Flair and Steamboat in their 60s would've gone an hour and given fans their money's worth, even if the match was shit. I like Lesnar but this shit is appalling. Â And when is Kane going to retire, 50 should be the cutoff point for any wrestler. Someone needs to tell Vince, 'Out with the old, in with the new'. Mad Dog
A couple of minutes would have been better as well. I can't believe they gave him the belt for a year. I really wish Braun had beaten him back in September.

WingedEagle
I probably wouldn't have been pleased if I was in the building and this closed out the show, but I also can't imagine any circumstances where I'd want to watch Kane go for more than a couple minutes, much less expect anything passable out of a Kane singles match. We'll see if my tune changes when I'm at MSG for Brock/Kane/Braun in a couple weeks, but that's still very different from Brock/Kane in a straight singles. Johnny Sorrow
Kane was on Jerichos Podcast this week and he said if he wins the election then no more wrestling. Its a great listen, Kane really is a good dude.
Seabs
Thats fine on TV and Lesnar destroying Kane on a house show is exactly what should happen but make it an extended squash and give the crowd time to do their suplex city chant and play their part in the show. Â That said maybe one of them is rehabbing a knock and if that someone is Lesnar then the damage from this is better than the damage from Lesnar not being 100% for Mania. ragemaster
I'm guessing if Brock is going back to UFC he's not doing anything to risk injury. His wrestlemaina match isn't going to be much of a match if he leaving. (think vs Dean) Â But remember his booking and how he's used is down to Vince. Don't hate brock for making money and not getting chewed up and spat out like the rest of the talent. If anything he's an inspiration on how to work in a brutal business and to keep his aura intact. El-P
The Lesnar vs Roman match at Mania could very well end up be a redux of the infamous Goldberg match at Mania 20, with the crowd hating on both guys. Fun times ahead.
fakeplastictrees
If this is all part of a bigger angle to get Roman over--it might actually work. A babyface needs to be RIGHT. Reigns is fighting for himself, the business, and the fans. This time around, Reigns promos do not come off as pandering and directionless. This should be fun to see play out. Stiva
I mean, isn't this excellent booking in the long run? The whole narrative of this feud is that Lesnar is a part timer while Reigns busts his ass. Quickest way to get the desired reaction they want at Mania (i.e. Reigns cheers, Brock boos) is to pull something like this. You piss off a great deal of the live crowd, everyone in this thread is pissed at it, the narrative of Brock being a lazy asshole who is running down his contract is solidified and Reigns can win the title to cheers. If Brock is being an asshole, which is probably likely, it's a pretty incredible way of manipulating and working people to get what they want. Â Did Reigns work the house show? If it wasn't a long main event following Brock, I'll be surprised.

FMKK
Is there at least a chance that WWE is perfectly happy for this sort of booking to recieve a backlash because it puts heat on Brock and furthers the narrative they're pushing with the Reigns match
NintendoLogic
Does it put heat on Brock or the company? I think most fans are smart enough to realize WWE is doing everything it can to manipulate them into accepting Reigns as The Guy come hell or high water. It's more likely that they'll cheer him beating Brock and go back to booing him the next week.

The Thread Killer
If I plunked down $30.00 for a house show ticket and got a 30 second Main Event, I'd be pissed. I don't care what the justification might be or if it's part of the some planned "booking." It's bad business, plain and simple. If people paid money to see Brock Lesnar wrestle live, and got a 30 second match they got ripped off and you shouldn't rip off your customers. It's very possible this was for some cutesy reason that WWE intends to work into their new "Brock is lazy and is just here for a paycheck" narrative to get Roman Reigns over. But what message does that send to the fans who bought tickets for that show? WWE can get away with doing stuff like this because they have no competition and a core fanbase that will put up with stuff like this no matter what, and come back for more. But that doesn't make it right. Â Then again, the other side of the argument is that if you paid your hard earned money to see Brock Lesnar fight Kane and you were expecting to see anything even remotely entertaining, you may have brain damage and you deserved to get ripped off...but still. Does he say , Brock is so lazy he insisted on Kane jobbing in 35 seconds in a match that wasnt on tv and most of you have no idea what Im talking about, right? sek69
It'll be some winky-winky reference that only the people who know about this will pick up on (because that's who it's meant to upset, the internet fans they want to boo Brock and cheer Roman at WM).
