given that this is at a fighting game tournament, this match was def about playing to the live crowd

i actually welcome that, given how allergic WWE is to the idea on their TV

It also helps that these guys are actual gamers so the references are good.  I mean if Cody and/or Hangman Page tried this it could have been terrible

I wish they had taken it one step further by removing the AEW logos from the screens, or at least changing it to a black AEW logo with "non-sanctioned" underneath or something like that, killing the colorful lights by the entrance, etc.

Exactly how I feel. Not everything worked, but almost all of it had stakes and felt meaningful and impactful. That's more than I can say for most WWE shows.

Personally I thought Janela vs Adam Page at All In was better but for the purpose of putting Moxley over as his old crazy self then it was the perfect match

Not as good as the last show, to me. Really liked Allin/Cody and the main. Six man was fun, but not totally my cup of tea. 

 

Someone mentioned it earlier, but I would love for them to try harder to differentiate their production methods from WWE. I can’t say what that should be, but right now it’s too similar in appearance.

I was dreading that I was going to have to sit through Moxley/Omega live back when they did the first angle.  Now I am pumped to see it.
