Maybe, but it's not like he's selling merch or using it on TV (or anything really to indicate it's something he's actively making money off of). How would she know if that was the case? I get trying to be fair to Tazz, but even the best possible read makes him look like an insecure little b.

Everyone knew who she was quoting, so she was basically giving him free promotion. He still acted like a bitch.
MoS
I find most doomsday opinions about AEW and how they have become "end-stage WCW" or TNA to be spectacularly misplaced and ludicrous, but if they sign Shane McMahon, it will truly feel like the death of the identity that made AEW an attractive proposition in the first place, something that will actually get me to stop watching
NintendoLogic
On the plus side, Christian would have a gold mine of father-related material to work with.

To me, the problem with Shane is that he's probably not someone you can control much. Even if he comes up with a cool concept for an angle, he's gonna end up ruining it by being front and center of it and taking way too much TV time. But in an ideal world were Shane can be reigned in, the thought of him showing up in AEW is intriguing.
strobogo
I don't know why you would want to associate your company with the McMahon name, especially since WWE won't even associate with it anymore. Shane sucks and would add absolutely nothing to AEW, but it would be funny if he popped up with a bad TNA name.

KawadaSmile
There's two things they can do with Shane that won't completely suck: him being torched by Christian him going against Darby on a "who could pull off the dumbest fucking stunt" type of match. Other than this, I just don't know what the fuck they are thinking supposedly signing a guy whose knees turned into pixie dust with a leap frog. strobogo
Maybe if the stuff with Vince hadn't happened and come out, there could be a shock and surprise of a McMahon in a different company, but post Vince crimes...

Stiva
If you’re not the slightest bit interested in seeing just what Shane McMahon in AEW looks like, then I don’t know what to say. It’s such a bizarro situation that it could only exist in our modern day WCW counterpart
Blehschmidt
Past the very brief "Wow, a McMahon in another company" it does absolutely nothing for AEW except for make them look like they are clutching at anything they can to be relevant. It would be different if he offered anything but name value, but the man is 54 years old, was seemingly never much of a booker/storyline guy, and the last time he was in the ring looked like he was going to fucking die. Laz
It could also have nothing to do with the on-air product and everything to do with streaming services, which he's dealt with in the past.

Ricky Jackson
I think one of his attempts at going into business separate from daddy, many years back, was some kind of sports streaming start up in China, or something

I’m not saying it’s going to have any kind of net positive effect, it’s just such a strange thing to envisage that I want it to happen. Nothing they’re doing is going to change the perception that they’re the B company right now anyway so get weird with it
KawadaSmile
What the hell is going on, why is this suspension-worthy?
NintendoLogic
I've read reports/speculation that she was complaining backstage about MJF/Ospreay going too long. If that's the case, she is now my favorite wrestler in the company.
strobogo
Dave Meltzer reported the popular star, who just returned from a lengthy absence due to injuries and a medical issue, was either suspended “for either one or two weeks and fined by the company’s disciplinary committee.” It’s unknown when the suspension is up, but Baker was absent from this past Wednesday’s Dynamite. While the details are light, Meltzer said that something happened at the 250th episode of Dynamite on July 17th where Baker allegedly said something about MJF which Atout heard. She then told MJF who then confronted Baker about it. Ibou added the incident happened right after MJF’s match with Will Ospreay that opened the show with Fightful reporting that the Baker/MJF argument “resulted in MJF punching a wall before his hour long match.” Fightful’s report also stated Baker “exercised frustration” about MJF within the women’s locker room. The outlet also reported that they had heard there was a confrontation between Atout and Baker and that Ospreay even talked to Baker at one point. The conflict was apparently due to unresolved issues in the past and that, according to Fightful, the two former friends had a falling out at some point over the last year. AEW HR then launched an investigation in an effort to settle things quickly and talked to people on July 24th. Meltzer was unsure as to what Tony Khan’s involvement was as “everyone was attempting to keep this under wraps.”
C.S.
If MJF really barged into the women's locker room uninvited and punched a wall, he should have not only been suspended too, he should have been arrested. Britt is no angel, but that doesn't magically absolve MJF. Clear double standard and more of the typical business-as-usual childish bullshit in AEW. strobogo
MJF and Britt Baker are basically gender swapped versions of the same dickhead, makes sense to me they'd end up in conflict with each other.
KingBoggs33
I read that the suspension came because they never settled whatever beef they had with. So, this instance was just like the last straw between the two. The more you hear about these issues in the locker room the more you realize that Punk is right that TK is like an ostrich with his head in the sand when these issues occur. Just shows just cause you sign everyone doesn't mean they will get along. If MJF really barged into the women's locker room he needs to be held accountable. If he really did that then why did the vets of the locker room not do a thing to him or say something. Maybe they did and that wasn't reported but he should be suspended as well. In this day and age there are some things YOU CAN'T DO! Also how does this make his GF look in the locker room as well? If she is going to go running to MJF with someone says something about him then she isn't going to have a life and just spend it all saying what mean things people say about MJF. What a mess.
