Recently came into possession of Wild Bill and Scott Irwin, The Long Riders and came to the realization that I don't really have a spot for them! So, I'm looking for offers on them! Could be two singles, a tag team, one single that blows me away, I'm wide open! If your interested, hit me up!

In addition to Larry Cameron, I found the following names who debuted in 1985. I don't know if they meet the criteria, but figured they were worth looking at. Angel of Death Chris Youngblood George South Jeff Gaylord Jimmy Del Ray Nick Kiniski Outback Jack Rocky King Steve Casey Steve DiSalvo Tom Magee

Chaos reigns in Continental! Hercules has shown up and is immediately causing trouble, and picks up a big (but tainted) win over Jimmy Golden Madril continues to be the best thing ever as he comes out to continue his issue with Street. David Schultz is The Grappler? There is so much about my roster I didn't know! Either way, he did the damage on Bullet Bob and cost him the tournament, but was it enough for him to get paid? Oh man, Buddy Landell vs Mr. Olympia for the Continental Heavyweight Title is gonna be good. But with Hercules and The Nightmare lurking, Olympia has a tough road in front of him.

Great first episode! Really looking forward to Rich vs Race, a classic encounter with the title on the line. Reed vs Sawyer is gonna be really interesting, as Iceman could go either way at this point. The Andersons in singles matches is all well and good, but whoever comes out with the Tag Titles had better watch out. Bassarab and Thornton could definitely be a sleeper team in the tag division, and you've got Pez and Austin too. Anderson's aren't going to be the only contenders waiting in the wings. The Lariat and Tojo have a nice little throw down, but the real money comes in Hansen vs Brody for the TV Title! Sign me up!!! Like I said, great first episode. Looking forward to the show in the Omni!

You have so many potential angles and directions to go in right now, I can't wait to read your first TV coming out of this! Awesome stuff!!

Good to see a familiar voice in David Crockett calling the action. Macho Man and Liz reunite in the most violent way possible! Poor Link!! Fantastics coming for the titles should be good stuff. Porkchop Cash wins the Atlantic Coast Title!! Kruschev picks up the TV Belt, that'll piss the fans off! JYD picks up a nice win in his debut. The action is all over the place in Atlantic Coast! Cool Stuff!

Teddy Long was just a referee until 1989, so I am curious why he is available in this?

Super Black Ninja better not turn out to be Ron Slinker! First clash between Soul Patrol and the Bass Bunch goes to a shmoz, and I couldn't think of a better ending. This one is gonna get violent! Gang and Cooley pick up a couple of nice wins. Hercules shows up to help Landell and The Nightmares. Bad night for the Rat Patrol. Hoping Herc and Landell are working together full time! Olympia wins the big one! Can't wait to see the tournament to find out who his opponent will be for that Continental Title. The Birds pick up the win against the Japanese team, but this was isn't over yet. Without the belts and the Devious One, they ain't done! Street, Brad, and Madril is good shit. I hope it keeps happening! David Schultz!! He doesn't work here! What's going on!!! Bullet Bob is down and out, Gordy has no opponent, but here comes the Gang! Hoss fight main event!! Gordy retains, and Akbar burns up the referee! Great show! Looking forward to the big tournament on Monday!

Harley and Rich to decide the first champion, sounds like one hell of a start to me! Looking forward to seeing where you take things, and I know picking this up from someone else can't be easy.

I love the paranoid Terry Funk angle you have going. It perfectly makes him the heel for the match against Santana, but doesn't turn him all the way for now. It also 100% sounds like Terry Funk. Tio and Tapu are great back up for Cocoa, which he has needed for quite some time! Liking the Bombers, they are a fine midcard addition to your stacked tag team division. Speaking of spot on interviews, I can hear Tony Atlas in my head every time you write for him. Great work. The Hart Family vs Lawler/Dundee/Dream Machine war is out of control, and that 6 man is gonna be batshit. Can't wait for it Jayhawks/Cowboys is a feud I can definitely get behind, as I really like both teams. A good old fashioned hanging will certainly stir things up! Tully is coming for the belt, and that has me more excited than anything. Funk vs Blanchard has the potential to be amazing! Another fantastic show, and Summer Blast is gonna be HUGE!

World Class sends The Junkyard Dog to ACCW for Ricky Steamboat

and just that like that Continental starts off with a bang!! Loved the Landell segment. Buddy and Ronnie need to do some commentary together sometime. Olympia vs Madril to determine who moves on is going to be a hot one. Both guys have so much momentum right now. Robley and the Bass boys against The Soul Patrol, oh that's a money feud on the undercard! Loving what you've got going on with the Birds. They work perfect as babyfaces here, and you have so many ways to build the company around them and the Armstrongs. Madril and Street interaction was awesome and Al gets a HUGE win heading into the big match against Olympia. Awesome debut on the Superstation. Loving your direction man.

-Broadcasting live to our local affiliates in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri, as well as in Syndication across these great United States, the American Wrestling Association proudly presents World Class Wrestling, coming to you this week from the Memorial Hall in Kansas City!- The camera cuts to Jim Ross, Bill Watts, and Nick Bockwinkel all sitting at the announce position. The AWA World Class Heavyweight Title is sitting folded on the table in front of Bockwinkel. Jim Ross: Hello everyone and welcome to AWA World Class Wrestling, I'm Jim Ross, joined this evening by "Cowboy" Bill Watts and the new AWA World Class Heavyweight Champion, Nick Bockwinkel. For those of you who weren't in attendance with us last night at Independence Day Star Wars, I am sure you are wondering how that happened. Well I promise you we'll get into that and whole lot more right here tonight. Before either Watts or Bockwinkel have a chance to speak, The Junkyard Dog walks out of the back, sporting something of a limp, and heads directly to the ring. He grabs the microphone out of the hand of Marc Lowrance and heads straight to where the announcers are sitting. Junkyard Dog: Nick Bockwinkel, I'm not a man who comes out here and cries about losing. You beat me fair and square last night, and I got no excuses. But, I'm out here right now to ask you man to man to step into that ring and wrestle me again, right here tonight. What do you say? Bockwinkel thinks it over for a moment and then stands up and holds out his hand for the microphone. JYD hands it to him and Bockwinkel nods his head. Nick Bockwinkel: Mr. Dog, I respect the fact that you've come out here and acknowledged that last night I was the better man. I respect the fact instead of ranting and raving, you've come out here and respectfully asked me to step into the ring and compete against you again. So Yes, I accept your challenge to compete against you tonight. A big smile crosses the face of JYD and he nods his head and extends his hands to Bockwinkel for a handshake. Nick Bockwinkel: Furthermore Mr. Dog, I feel like testing myself this evening. As you learned last night, I am something of a technical wrestling expert. While you seem to excel in more of a brawling environment. Last night I defeated you in a straight up wrestling contest, so this evening, I want to test myself in your world. I don't believe that either of us wants, or is prepared for another match that is going to last well over half an hour. So I only accept your challenge if we agree to make this match No Disqualifications, and No Count Out. What do you say Mr. Dog? JYD looks at Bockwinkel a little sideways, but shrugs his shoulders and says "Okay." Bockwinkel reaches out and shakes the hand of JYD, then leans in close to him and speaks in a more hushed, more serious tone. Nick Bockwinkel: One final stipulation Mr. Dog. I will only agree to step into that ring and put MY title on the line if you agree to put your continued employment here in AWA World Class on the line. Because once I've defeated you for a second time, I don't plan to waste my precious time stepping into the ring with you again. So let's say if I win, you walk away for one year. I'll be waiting in the ring come main event time. You can think about it until then. Don't make a decision you'll regret. Bockwinkel scoops the title off the desk, nods at Ross and Watts and heads for the back as JYD stands staring Bockwinkel down. -Commercial Break- Jim Ross: Welcome back Ladies and Gentleman, let's quickly break down what happened before the break and what led to it. Last night at Star Wars, The Junkyard Dog was scheduled to defend the World Class Title against David Schultz. Before that match could occur David Schultz was viciously attacked by Big John Studd who we had not seen since he was defeated by JYD at the previous Star Wars. With Schultz unable to compete, and JYD without an opponent, Bockwinkel offered to wrestle Dog in his place. Dog being a fighting champion agreed and put the title on the line. What followed was a nearly forty minute classic that saw Bockwinkel win the title. Now tonight JYD has come out and asked for a chance to regain his title, and Bockwinkel has accepted the match, but only under a No Count Out, No Disqualification stipulation, and he is insisting that The Junkyard Dog voluntarily leave World Class Wrestling for one year should he not win the match! Bill Watts: The match was last night was fantastic. A great display of wrestling, and in the end, it was Bockwinkel's night. But this stuff tonight reeks Jim. He can act all prim and proper like he does, but it seems to me like he knows he got lucky last night, and he doesn't want to step into that ring again, but he also knows that if he says No, he'll look like a coward. So he makes the match with the No Rules stipulation so he can cheat, then he adds the crap about Dog putting his career on the line in hopes that JYD won't accept it, so that he'll look like the coward. Jim Ross: Are you gonna let this happen Bill? Bill Watts: I've known The Junkyard Dog a long time Jim. If he decides he wants to do this, hell won't stand in his way. Yeah, I'll make the match. Jim Ross: There you have it folks. Let's head down to the ring where Marc Lowrance is with some special guests. We cut to ringside where Marc Lowrance is standing with "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin, Precious, and Eddie Hogan except Hogan is no longer wearing red and yellow, instead opting for tiger striped tights with fishnet covered holes. He has also shaved his mustache and his bleached blonde hair is now dyed brown and teased to ridiculous levels. Marc Lowrance: Ladies and Gentleman, I am standing here with the man who last night came very close to becoming the Central States Champion Jim Garvin and.... Jimmy Garvin: WOAH! WOAH! WOAH! Stop right there Marc Lowrance! First of all, my name is "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin, and you will address me as such. Secondly, the only reason I am not Central States Champion is because Barry Windham was pulling my trunks. Marc Lowrance: My apologies. I am standing here with "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin, his lovely valet Precious, and the man who cost Kevin Von Erich his chance at the Central States Title, Eddie Hog.. "WOAH! WOAH! WOAH! Stop right there Marc Lowrance! First of all, I will no longer be answering to that name, because I will no longer be associating with losers. Secondly, the only reason I was in the ring at Star Wars is because it looked like Precious was about to drop her purse, and what kind of man would I be if I didn't assist a lady. Anyway, as I was turning around to give it to her, I accidentally bumped into Kevin Von Erich with it, and apparently he has a glass chin, because the weight of her hair brush and make up knocked him out. I don't know what you want me to do about that. Marc Lowrance: What name should we call you now? "Brutus Beefcake" Marc Lowrance: Brutus Beefcake? Brutus Beefcake: Oh Yeah! Brutus Beefcake! Marc Lowrance: and you expect us to believe that story about the purse? Brutus Beefcake: You calling me a liar Lowrance? Jimmy Garvin: Brutus! Calm down, don't let this peon get to you. Let's get to the reason we are out here tonight. You know, other than looking good! Both men posture and preen to the boo's of the crowd as Precious fluffs the hair of Garvin. Jimmy Garvin: Barry Windham, since you had to cheat to beat me, I want a rematch, and I want it right here tonight! There is a stir from the crowd, and an eruption of cheers, as Kendall Windham comes from the back and marches right into the midst of the interview. Kendall Windham: Garvin, you know darn well my brother beat you fair and square! Jimmy Garvin: Whatever! Just get him out here so I can have my rematch! Kendall Windham: You also know that he had to get stitches after the match last night and the doctor isn't gonna let him wrestle. Jimmy Garvin: Likely excuse! Kendall Windham: But I'm here! I'll wrestle you! Heck, I'll go get me a partner, and I'll wrestle both of you sissies! Brutus Beefcake: Sissy! Who you calling a sissy punk! You're On! Kendall looks excited, Beefcake looks fired up, and Garvin looks annoyed as the show heads to commercial. -Commercial Break- 1 Fall, 10 Minute Time Limit -Brian Adias vs The Bounty Hunter- Adias didn't waste much time in the ring tonight, going straight after the masked man, working him over with a series of arm drags, a nice dropkick, and put him away with the Russian Leg Sweep in just under two minutes. Winner: Brian Adias Jim Ross: Brian Adias makes short work of his opponent tonight. Between that showing and his big win in the battle royal last night at Star Wars, you'd have to think he'd be in contention for a shot at the Central States or Television Title. Bill Watts: He has no doubt looked impressive, and the championship committee has it's eyes on everyone right now. Jim Ross: Alright folks, let's see if Kendall Windham was able to find a partner to take on Jimmy Garvin and Eddie Ho...Brutus Beefcake. Bill Watts: We know Barry Windham isn't here tonight, but I have to think someone back in that locker room would jump at the chance to punch Garvin in the mouth. Jim Ross: It looks like your right, here comes Kendall with Chick Donovan! 1 Fall, 15 Minute Time Limit -Kendall Windham/Chick Donovan vs Brutus Beefcake/"Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin w/Precious- As soon as the bell rang, a fired up Kendall charged across the ring and blasted Beefcake with a huge right hand that sent him out of the ring! Kendall then turned to Garvin who charged at him, but Kendall nailed him with a big hip toss! Garvin popped back to his feet, only to eat a big dropkick! Garvin rolled out to the floor to regroup with Beefcake as the K.C. crowd was going crazy for Kendall Windham. Garvin took his time before heading back into the ring, and when he did he circled Kendall and stalled before going into the collar and elbow. The crowd went crazy again when Kendall snapped him over into a headlock, and then proceeded to mess up his hair. Garvin complained loudly to the referee and then tagged in Beefcake. Beefcake charged at Kendall, only to be caught in a headlock takeover of his own, snapped over, have his hair messed up, and immediately retreat to the corner. Garvin and Beefcake stood in the corner, refusing to come out and fight, until finally Kendall had enough and went over and tagged Chick Donovan. Donovan entered the ring, and sucker punched Kendall Windham who hit the mat and was out like a light. Donovan casually pulled what looked to be a pair of brass knuckles off his fist, and stuffed them into his trunks before opening his arms wide toward Garvin and Beefcake. From the corner, Garvin and Beefcake begin to laugh, and then walk forward, casually stepping over the unconscious Windham to embrace Donovan. All three men then exit the ring to a huge round of boo's. Winner: No Contest Marc Lowrance is waiting outside the ring and catches Garvin, Precious, Beefcake, and Donovan as they are leaving. Marc Lowrance: What precisely was that? Jimmy Garvin: That Marc Lowrance was a double cross! Marc Lowrance: Chick Donovan, what's the meaning of this? Chick Donovan: I saw Kendall Windham out here running his mouth earlier, and I saw an opportunity for Chick Donovan to align himself with some like minded individuals. So when Kendall came back to the dressing room, I volunteered to be his partner. Then I went to Jimmy Garvin's dressing room and I said Jimmy Garvin, what you and Brutus Beefcake got going on, I wanna be a part of. So you go out in that ring tonight and you let that skinny little punk think he has the upper hand, then when the time is right, I'll knock him six ways from Sunday, then me, you, Beefcake, and Precious can go out and party the night away. Brutus Beefcake: So if you'll excuse us Marc Lowrance, you and your stupid questions, are standing between us and the champagne. All three men break into laughter as Precious smirks, and then all four exit, as Kendall Windham is receiving medical attention in the ring. -Commercial Break- Jim Ross: Welcome back folks, just before the break we saw a despicable display as Chick Donovan has chosen to align himself with Jimmy Garvin and Brutus Beefcake and did so at the expense of Kendall Windham. Bill Watts: I'm not sure what is going on here tonight Jim. Seems like everyone's lost their minds after Star Wars. Jim Ross: Speaking of which, here comes Nick Bockwinkel toward the ring. Have we heard what The Junkyard Dog is going to do? Bill Watts: Jim, I know The Junkyard Dog better than most. He isn't going to back down from the challenge. He is going to come out here, and he is going to fight. Jim Ross: Sure enough Bill! Here comes the JYD!! Bill Watts: I had no doubts... 1 Fall, 60 Minute Time Limit -The Junkyard Dog vs Nick Bockwinkel- No Disqualification, No Count Out - AWA World Class Heavyweight Title Both men were tentative after the bell rang, circling one another and feeling each other out for the lock up. Once they locked up, Bockwinkel was quick to go to the headlock, and then punched JYD hard in the face with a closed fist. The Dog fired Bockwinkel off of him into the ropes and put him down hard with a shoulderblock. JYD dropped down onto all fours, and nailed Bockwinkel with a headbutt. Dog pulled Bockwinkel up by the hair and blasted him with a series of right hands, then nailed him with another big headbutt. Bockwinkel staggered backwards several steps and fell backwards out of the ring. JYD wasted no time following him outside, and immediately pulled him to his feet. Dog smashed the head of Bockwinkel off the ring apron, then bodyslammed him on the concrete floor. While Dog was busy taking it too Bockwinkel on the floor, he failed to notice the commotion in the crowd behind him. Dog was pulling Bockwinkel to his feet when a man in a hooded sweatshirt came over the guard rail with a steel chair, and JYD had just rolled Bockwinkel back into the ring when the man pulled down the hood to reveal Big John Studd. Junkyard Dog never saw Studd, before Studd bashed him in the head with a steel chair from behind. JYD dropped to his knee's and Studd blasted him again. Studd tossed the chair aside and hoisted the unconscious Dog onto his feet, and shoved him into the ring. A recovering Bockwinkel crawled over and covered JYD, and referee Alfred Neely had no choice but to count One, Two, Three. Winner, and Still AWA World Class Heavyweight Champion: Nick Bockwinkel Jim Ross: WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE!! Bill Watts: A damn set up. Bill Watts throws down his head set and leaves the announce position to head for the ring. Jim Ross: Cowboy Bill Watts is heading for the ring, and according to the stipulations for the match, The Junkyard Dog is going to have leave World Class for a year. Folks, lets take a commercial break, and we'll try to sort this whole thing out when we get back. -Commercial Break- Jim Ross: Ladies and Gentleman, we are back, and here is where we are. Cowboy Bill Watts and referee Alfred Neely just had to walk a clearly concussed Junkyard Dog out of the arena. He just lost to Nick Bockwinkel, thanks to interference from Big John Studd, which was allowed due to the stipulations of the match. Also due to the stipulations of the match, the Junkyard Dog will now be forced to leave World Class for one year. We still have time left in the show, so we are going to go to a stand by match, and I'm not sure what else to tell you folks. 1 Fall, 10 Minute Time Limit -Italian Stallion vs Bill Rathke- These two got about two minutes of wrestling in before Big John Studd hit the ring and leveled both men with clotheslines. He tossed Rathke over the top rope to the floor and then gave the Stallion a huge bodyslam before kicking him out of the ring. He then pointed at Marc Lowrance and pointed at the spot in the ring next to him. Winner: No Contest As Marc Lowrance was heading into the ring to join Big John Studd, Nick Bockwinkel came back out of the dressing room with a towel around his neck and the AWA World Class Heavyweight Title around his waist. He came into the ring and joined Studd and Lowrance. Marc Lowrance: Well? Studd wraps his massive hand around the throat of Lowrance and leans down into his face. Big John Studd: You will speak to Mr. Bockwinkel with respect little man. Nick Bockwinkel: It's okay John. Let the imbecile be. He just doesn't understand the beauty of what we've done. Studd let's go of Lowrance who immediately grabs at his throat. Bockwinkel takes the microphone from him, and shoo's him out of the ring. Nick Bockwinkel: Since I can only assume that most of you simpleton's haven't pieced this together yet, I am going to go ahead and lay it out for you. On Memorial Day, my friend John Studd here competed for the championship I now hold, but was robbed of his opportunity by the man who was supposed to be guiding his career. Since that time he has been away evaluating his career and deciding on his next course of action. When I signed to be part of AWA World Class Wrestling, I contacted my old friend John and I presented him with an opportunity for the two of us to work together. Then I made my debut under the guise of providing commentary, while all along waiting for last night and the big Star Wars show to maximize the impact of my plan. So you see, I had John here take out David Schultz last night, then I stepped up to save the show, and even offered to do it without the championship on the line. But I knew that the ego of The Junkyard Dog would never allow him to not defend the championship on the big stage, and when I was proved correct, I used my superior skill to defeat him and become the World Class Heavyweight Champion. Then I knew that tonight or some night soon Junkyard Dog would come asking for his rematch, so I planned on offering the stipulations that seemed weighted in his favor, only to goad him into the stipulation that he must leave World Class as an addendum. Then, when the time was right, the whole of our clever ruse could be revealed. Mr. Studd could appear from the crowd, destroy The Junkyard Dog, send him on his way from World Class Wrestling, and reveal our alliance to the world. So as you see, the most powerful duo in the history of this company now stand before you. Myself, Nick Bockwinkel, as the AWA World Class Heavyweight Champion, and Big John Studd, soon to be either Central States Champion, or Television Champion, perhaps both. Furthermore, if Hulk Hogan decides to show his face around here any time soon, the two of us will be looking for an opportunity to challenge for that AWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship as well. Is there anything you'd like to add Mr. Studd? Big John Studd: Anyone who thinks they stand a chance against myself or Nick Bockwinkel, had better think again! Nick Bockwinkel: I couldn't have said it better myself! Bockwinkel and Studd leave the ring to a massive chorus of boo's as the show fades to black.

Buck Robley managing The Bass's seems like a perfect fit. Scott Armstrong retains his title and finally manages to get rid of Hamilton, and does so for a year. Madril gets some back up, and knocks out Cooley with the glove to retain. Madril is my favorite heel in Southeastern! Steve Armstrong takes the stretcher ride and The Nightmares pick up a big win. Oh man, Olympia wins the Alabama title with the DDT! Jones costs Jake the match, then he gets a DDT! Man, sometimes you gotta learn the hard way, Never Trust a Snake. The Birds pick up the win, but the Bukasaki train rolls on with the belts thanks to some timely interference from Master Fuji! Loving the Kendo/Kabuki team so much. Bob Armstrong wins the match, but it seems that the assault of OMG is starting to wear on Bob. But when you've got a 450 pound man hell bent on taking you out, life's a bitch! DAMN! Gordy takes out Naitch for the belt! The Freebirds are flying high in Southeastern!!! Gordy takes out #1 and Flair doesn't even care. The Army is falling apart! I get the feeling that things are about to get real interesting here in SECW.

-Thursday July 4th- -St. Louis Arena- -St. Louis, MO- -Independence Day Star Wars- Nearly 15,000 fans have packed the St. Louis Arena in St. Louis, Missouri as AWA World Class Wrestling is set to present Independence Day Star Wars! All of the champions of the American Wrestling Alliance are here! All of the World Class titles will be defended! Television cameras are rolling, Jim Ross and Nick Bockwinkel are on commentary, Marc Lowrance is ready, let's head to the ring! 1) Kevin Von Erich vs Eddie Hogan - Central States Title Tournament Quarterfinal After what happened on television this past weekend, instead of his usual red and yellow knock off attire, Eddie Hogan came to the ring just wearing blue jeans and boots, and looked like he possibly hadn't slept since that incident. Once the bell rang, he came to life and gave Kevin Von Erich everything he had. It was a solid back and forth encounter for the opening minutes, but the skill and experience of Von Erich would be the deciding factor and just short of the ten minute mark, Kevin would hit his Reverse Crossbody from the top for the victory and advance in the tournament. Winner: Kevin Von Erich 2) "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin w/Precious vs Kerry Von Erich - Central States Title Tournament Quarterfinal Jimmy Garvin took a ton of extra time to strut and preen at the beginning of the match to the point where a fired up Von Erich charged him before the bell rang and began to attack him before he had his robe off or Precious had even left the ring. Referee Ron West had to physically shove Kerry back into his corner as Precious loudly complained that Von Erich should be disqualified. Garvin got to his feet and took his robe off and also began complaining that Kerry should be disqualified. At this point, a few things all happened at the same time. Ron West called for the bell, at the same time Garvin threw his robe at Kerry who swatted it aside, causing it to land on the head of Ron West! While West was struggling to remove himself from the feather and sequins, Kerry tackled Garvin directly in front of Precious who was taking all of this in. Seeing an opening, she brought her purse crashing down on the head of Kerry Von Erich, who immediately stopped fighting and went limp on top of Jimmy Garvin. Precious quickly exited the ring, Garvin shoved Von Erich off of him, and then covered him, and Ron West managed to free himself from the robe, saw Garvin covering Kerry, and counted the 1,2,3. Winner: Jimmy Garvin 3) Mr. Saito vs Barry Windham - Central States Title Tournament Quarterfinal Windham offered a handshake to start the match, Saito accepted it and then yanked Windham into a belly to back suplex. That pretty much set the tone for the rest of the match as Saito rag dolled Windham from pillar to post for the opening minutes. Barry would not be put down however as he kicked out of every pin attempt and continued to fight back no matter what Saito threw at him. The tide finally began to turn when Saito whipped Barry into the ropes, Barry managed to leapfrog over him, and catch him with a big Bulldog Headlock on the rebound. It wasn't enough to keep Saito down, but it gave Barry momentum. Barry stayed on him, and just before the thrity minute time limit was set to expire, nailed him with a Lariat and got the three count. Winner: Barry Windham 4) Jay Youngblood vs The Grappler - Central States Title Tournament Quarterfinal This was a fantastic evenly matched contest from the beginning. The Grappler had the strength advantage, but Youngblood was able to counter with speed. They went back and forth exchanging control for a solid ten minutes and neither man had a clear advantage. As the bout rolled past the fifteen minute mark, Youngblood rallied with a series of chops and a big dropkick that sent the masked man to the floor. The crowd on that side of the ring was adamantly pointing at something as Youngblood reached out and drug Grappler back into the ring. Youngblood whipped the masked man into the ropes and went for a clothesline, but The Grappler was able to duck it, and on the rebound caught Youngblood with a running headbutt. Youngblood hit the canvas like a sack of potatoes, and The Grappler dropped down for the cover. Referee David Manning counted the fall and never noticed Grappler slip something out of his mask. Winner: The Grappler 5) -20 Man Over the Top Rope Battle Royal- Elimination #1: Scott Casey by Morrow, Jones, Akeem, and Muhammad Elimination #2: The Nightmare by Kendall Windham Elimination #3: Ron Bass by Morrow, Jones, Akeem, and Muhammad Elimination #4: Blackjack Mulligan by Morrow, Jones, Akeem, and Muhammad Elimination #5: Italian Stallion by Brian Adias Elimination #6: Chick Donovan by Sam Houston Elimination #7: Joe Lightfoot by Morrow, Jones, Akeem, and Muhammad Elimination #8: Jules Strongbow by Morrow, Jones, Akeem, and Muhammad Elimination #9: Kim Duk by Steve Doll/Steve Simpson Elimination #10: Jose Lothario by Morrow, Jones, Akeem, and Muhammad Elimination #11: Mark Youngblood by Morrow, Jones, Akeem, and Muhammad Elimination #12: Mustafa Morrow by Steve Doll/Steve Simpson Elimination #13: Kareem Muhammad by Windham/Adias/Houston Elimination #14: Steve Simpson by Elijah Akeem Elimination #15: Taalib Jones by Windham/Adias/Houston Elimination #16: Steve Doll by Elijah Akeem Elimination #17: Elijah Akeen by Windham/Adias/Houston Elimination #18: Sam Houston by Kendall Windham Elimination #19: Kendall Windham by Brian Adias Winner: Brian Adias 6) Hercules Hernandez w/Percival Pringle III vs DJ Peterson - AWA World Class Television Title These two started off with a shoving match that turned into a slug fest in the middle of the ring. Then the "no you run the ropes and hit me with a shoulderblock" to see who could move the other the furthest game began. That seemed to be going in the favor of Hercules until Peterson leapfrogged him and blasted him with a dropkick! The crowd loved it, Herc and Percy not so much. Hernandez went after Peterson with a ferocity after that, clubbing him down with forearms, catching him with a nasty clothesline, and drilling him into the mat with several big slams. Peterson wouldn't stay down for any pinfall attempts, and Hercules then attempted to lift him up for the Backbreaker, but Peterson slid out the back and fired away at Hercules with lefts and rights. DJ had the champ staggered and whipped him into the ropes, where he caught him with a huge powerslam. Peterson then ascended the turnbuckles, and when Hercules got to his feet, launched himself off with the Second Rope Shoulderblock and caught Hercules square. Peterson covered and Referee Rick Hazzard counted One, Two, Three. Winner, and NEW AWA World Class Television Champion: DJ Peterson! 7) Brad Armstrong vs Tiger Conway Jr - AWA World Lightweight Title Brad Armstrong offered a handshake at the outset of the match only to be slapped in the face by Conway. Armstrong nodded his head and went right to work snapping Conway over in a side headlock and messing up his afro. That fired Conway up who got to his feet and charged Armstrong, only to be caught in another headlock takeover. The match would turn into a decent little technical sprint from that point with both men having control at various points, but Brad would always seem to come out ahead, leading to a frustrated Conway waving toward the back. The other four members of The Movement come out from the back and surround the ring, as Brad catches Conway in a series of armdrags. When Brad slapped on a Sleeperhold, the four men hit the ring en masse and attacked. Winner (by Disqualification): Brad Armstrong Before too much damage could be inflicted, The Youngbloods, Brian Adias, Kendall Windham, The Glamour Boys, and Sam Houston hit the ring lead to all five members of The Movement quickly exiting. They regrouped in the aisle way and all raised a fist into the air, before heading to the back. Armstrong was quick to thank all the men in the ring before raising his Lightweight Title into the air to the cheers of the St. Louis crowd. 8) Kevin Von Erich vs "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin w/Precious - Central States Title Tournament Semifinal Garvin attempted his stalling techniques with another Von Erich but Kevin wasn't falling for it. Once the bell rang and they locked up, Kevin wasted no time whipping Garvin into the corner and nailing him with punches which had the crowd counting along. He then caught him with a huge arm drag out of the corner, and blasted him with a huge dropkick when he got up. Garvin went to the floor to attempt to buy time, but Kevin followed him out and chased him around the ring. Garvin got back in first and cut Kevin off, and was able to maintain control for several minutes. But Kevin wasn't having it, and came roaring back again. The end to this back and forth nearly twenty minute encounter came when the referee was knocked down as Kevin scooped Garvin up for a bodyslam and Jimmy's boot caught Alfred Neely in the side of the head. Kevin completed the slam, and then locked the Iron Claw on the fallen Garvin. With the ref down, and Garvin in trouble, Precious climbed onto the ring apron with her purse and started to enter the ring. She was standing above Kevin just about to bash him in the head with it, when Eddie Hogan hit the ring and grabbed it out of her hands stopping her. Hearing the commotion behind him, Kevin let go of the Claw, and stood to see Hogan staring at Precious as she plead her innocence. Hogan was shaking his head and having none of it, and Von Erich turned to her and held his hand up signalling he was going to put her in the Iron Claw! The crowd in St. Louis let out a cheer at the thought of it, but it immediately turned to boo's as Eddie Hogan cracked Kevin Von Erich across the head with the obviously loaded purse. Von Erich hit the mat, out like a light. Hogan rolled Von Erich over and pulled Jimmy Garvin on top of him, while Precious shook the referee awake. Both of them exited the scene of the crime, as Neely groggily counted the One, Two, Three. Winner: Jimmy Garvin 9) Barry Windham vs The Grappler - Central States Title Tournment Semifinal A fairly even contest in the opening minutes that saw both men attempting to gain an advantage using technical wrestling. Grappler had the strength advantage and used it to take Barry down with a hammerlock and grind on him, but Windham was able to make his way out of it and begin to use his height advantage to get leverage on Grappler and take him down repeatedly. The two went back and forth this way for a while, until Grappler ended the technical exchanges by going for a big Lariat. Windham managed to duck it and caught Grappler with a big dropkick on the rebound. The two would continue to go back and forth for another ten minutes, before Windham went for a leaping Lariat, but Grappler ducked out of the way, and Windham accidentally collided with referee David Manning, who was knocked to the floor. Grappler grabbed Windham and yanked him to his feet, but Windham quickly cradled him into a small package. With no referee to count, Windham released the hold. Both men got to their feet and exchanged punches, Windham got the best of it and sent The Grappler into the ropes. Windham bounced off the ropes as well, and when the men met in the center of the ring, each tried a clothesline and both of them went down. The reaction of the crowd turned to boo's as The Grappler began to kick the toe of his infamous boot onto the canvas, loading it up. Both Windham and Grappler began to get to their feet, and on the floor David Manning was starting to crawl back onto the apron. Grappler made it to his feet first, and charged at Windham while Barry was still in a kneeling position and attempted to kick him with the Loaded Boot, but Windham was fast and reared back so that Grappler missed him and his momentum carried him past. Windham grabbed him from behind and rolled him up, just as Manning got fully back into the ring. One, Two, Three! Winner: Barry Windham As Manning was raising the hand of Windham, and irate Grappler clubbed Barry in the back of the head knocking him to the canvas, then kicked him in the head with the Loaded Boot. Windham collapsed to the canvas grasping his face, and before long blood began to pour out from between his fingers. Manning called for help, as The Grappler left the ring nodding his head. 10) Hulk Hogan/The Islanders (Samu/The Tonga Kid) vs The Moondogs (Spot/Cujo/Max) This was a wild brawl from the moment the bell rang as all six men started throwing punches immediately, until Hogan and The Islanders cleared the ring. There was a brief moment of fun as Hogan had to show Tonga Kid how to do the double bicep pose, but then it all broke down again as The Moondogs came back in the ring and the brawl began anew. Finally we were down to Hogan and Spot, and the match was officially started. Hogan had the upper hand at first, but then he got too close to the Moondog corner and four hands grabbed hold of him and Spot was able to catch him with a big headbutt. After that The Moondogs used frequent tags and beat down the AWA World Heavyweight Champion unmercifully. The Islanders tried several times to come and help him, but referee Ron West constantly pushed them back out of the ring, which let The Moondogs choke, bite, and hit Hogan with the giant bone they brought to the ring. Finally, it looked like Hogan might be all done when Max drilled him with a huge Running Slam and got the One, Two, Thr..KICKOUT!!! Hogan was up to his knee's! Punch after punch rained down onto the champion, but he ignored them all! When he got to his feet Max threw a haymaker, but Hogan blocked it! YOU!! Boom! Punch to Max! Spot came in! Boom! Punch to Spot! Here comes Cujo! Boom! Punch to Cujo! Hogan leaps forward and tags both Islanders!! Samu and Tonga come in the ring and begin laying vicious chops onto all three Moondogs. A huge thrust kick from Tonga sends Spot sailing out of the ring! A double thrust kick from both Islanders sends the massive Cujo sailing over the top rope! Hogan is back to his feet and The Islanders whip Max into a Big Boot! Down he goes!! Hogan bounces off the ropes... LEG DROP!!! Tonga heads up top, Samu grabs him and hurls him off... FLYING SPLASH!!! One, Two, Three!!! Winners: Hulk Hogan and The Islanders (Samu/The Tonga Kid) 11) The Road Warriors (Animal/Hawk) w/Paul Ellering vs The Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton/Dennis Condrey) w/Jim Cornette - AWA World Tag Teams Titles vs AWA World Class Tag Team Titles Cornette looked on the verge of a coronary before the bell rang, and was in hysterics as both Bobby and Dennis were tossed around the ring by Animal in the opening moments of the match. The Midnight Express attempted to regroup in the corner, but a double noggin knocker ended that. A press slam for Bobby, a press slam for Dennis, and Cornette was using the tennis racket to fan them on the outside of the ring. Finally, five minutes into the match Eaton managed to knee Hawk in the back as he bounced off the ropes and it allowed Dennis to take him down with a clothesline. The Express then went to work, making frequent tags, double teaming Hawk, and doing everything they could think of to keep the big man down. Then Dennis Condrey went for the kill and hit Hawk with a huge piledriver. Dennis got back to his feet with a huge smile on his face and turned to his corner only to see Cornette with a look of terror on his face, and Eaton pointing behind him. Hawk had popped back up from the piledriver like it had sent a bolt of lightning threw him, and when Dennis turned around, Hawk stuck out his tongue and flexed his muscles at Dennis who began to back away. Hawk grabbed Dennis and whipped him into the ropes and then nailed him with a dropkick! Eaton charged into the ring, which brought Animal into the ring ring and then all four men were brawling. Cornette jumped up onto the ring apron, and was immediately set upon by Paul Ellering who yanked him off of the apron. Cornette tried to toss the tennis racket to Eaton, but Hawk intercepted it, and blasted Bobby in the head with it. Referee James Beard called for the Disqualification. Winners, by Disqualification: The Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton/Dennis Condrey) 12) The Junkyard Dog vs "Dr. D" David Schultz - AWA World Class Heavyweight Title As David Schultz was walking down the aisle toward the ring, from out of the crowd, dressed in street clothes, came Big John Studd. Studd slammed a steel chair over the head of Schultz which sent "Dr. D" staggering into the guard rail. A second shot from the chair directly on top of the head of Schultz sent him to the ground. Studd then tossed the chair down at his feet, and pulled a now bleeding Schultz off of the floor and hoisted him in the air. Studd held him aloft for several seconds before body slamming him directly onto the chair. Bill Watts, Bob Geigel, The Junkyard Dog, and a host of security, referee's, and other World Class officials came out to confront Studd, who began demanding to be placed in the championship match. JYD agreed to fight him, but Watts could be heard yelling "Hell No" and before long St. Louis police arrived on the scene and handcuffed Studd before leading him out of the arena. Medical personnel came to the scene and evaluated Schultz and determined that he needed to be taken to the hospital for stitches, a likely concussion, and possible damage to his back and ribs from the bodyslam. They tried to put him on a stretcher, but he fought that and was instead mostly carried out by the medical personnel. Bill Watts went to the ring with JYD and apologized to the fans saying that the match was going to have to be postponed because everyone had already competed tonight, and they didn't have anyone suitable to wrestle. The fans chanted for Watts to wrestle, but he laughed it off saying he didn't want the Dog to embarrass him. Then a voice rang out across the arena "I'll wrestle him" All eyes turned to Nick Bockwinkel standing up at the announce position. "I know I wasn't brought here to compete this evening, but since these fine people paid to see Mr. Dog wrestle, and he needs an opponent, I will volunteer. It doesn't have to be for the championship since I haven't earned a title shot, but there is no need for anyone to be disappointed when I am perfectly capable of competing. I'd just need a few minutes to change into my trunks and boots." Watts shakes his head Yes and then looks to JYD. The Dog takes the microphone... "If your willing to come in the Dog's Yard to give these people what they paid to see, the Dog will put the title on the line!" The crowd goes nuts, Watts gives a thumbs up, and Bockwinkel nods in agreement as he heads towards the locker room. 13) "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin w/Precious vs Barry Windham - AWA Central States Title Barry Windham came to the ring with his head bandaged up and looked far worse for wear than his opponent, after two grueling matches and the loaded boot attack, compared to Garvin's one grueling match which he had help winning. His odds got a little better when Bill Watts marched to ringside and sent Precious to the back, and threatened to fire anyone who interfered in this match. Needless to say that Jimmy Garvin wasn't happy about it, and he Pearl Harbored Windham before the bell rang to let Watts and everyone else know. Garvin went right to work on the head, tearing the bandages away, and then stomping the area repeatedly until the blood was flowing again. Garvin then whipped Barry into the turnbuckle and went for the big ten punch count along, but when he got to six, Barry grabbed his legs, charged forward and gave Garvin a reverse atomic drop that Jimmy was not prepared for. As Garvin was tip toeing around the ring, waving his arms in the air, Windham blasted him with a right hand, and another. Then Windham scooped him up and gave him a proper atomic drop, the momentum of this one sent Garvin sailing over the top rope and too the floor! Barry wiped the blood from his face and followed Garvin to the floor. Windham was attempting to pull Garvin up by the hair, but Jimmy hooked the front of his tights and leveraged him into the ringpost. Garvin got to his feet with a smirk and pulled Barry off the floor, smashed his face into the apron, and then tossed him back into the ring. Garvin immediately went for a cover, but Windham kicked out at two. Garvin pulled the bloody Windham back to his feet, gave him a big bodyslam, then dropped an elbow on him. Garvin covered again, and again only got two. Garvin dropped a knee onto the face of Windham, then sat him up and applied a rear chinlock. Garvin was taunting Windham, and telling him to quit, but Referee Alfred Neely indicated that Windham was not submitting. Garvin pulled Barry to his feet and sent him into the ropes, and gave him a big back body drop. Garvin cockily covered Barry, and again Windham kicked out at two. Garvin yelled out "alright, that's it!" and yanked Windham to his feet and then hooked him, and hoisted him up for the Brainbuster. Garvin drove Windham hard into the mat and Neely counted the One, Two, Thre..foot on the ropes. Garvin banged the mat in frustration, and then questioned the referee's count. He grabbed the blood stained hair of Windham and jerked him to his feet, Garvin whipped him into the ropes again, and Windham nailed him with the Lariat!! Both men were down, and Neely began his ten count. Garvin actually got to his feet first at 7, and went after Windham, again grabbing two handfuls of hair and pulling him to his feet. Barry was apparently playing a bit of possum, as he rolled Garvin into a small package and Neely counted the One, Two, Three! Winner, and NEW AWA Central States Champion: Barry Windham! 14) The Junkyard Dog vs Nick Bockwinkel - AWA World Class Heavyweight Title Bockwinkel offered the handshake at the beginning of this one, and although Dog looked wary, he took it and the two competitors shook hands. They locked up and Dog was able to overpower Nick and back him into the corner. The referee called for the break, and JYD gave it to him clean. They locked up again and this time Bockwinkel was able to back JYD into the ropes, again the referee called for the break. Bockwinkel pulled away, and everyone was waiting for the cheap shot, but the break was clean. They locked up again and this time it was the power of JYD that won out, and he nailed Bockwinkel with a big bodyslam, and the match was underway! The opening minutes saw JYD used his power advantage to work over Bockwinkel with some early high impact offense that looked to have the Dog firmly in the drivers seat early. Another big slam, some stomps and elbow drops while Nick was on the mat, even a big takeover suplex that had the crowd on it's feet. Then JYD clamped on a side headlock and really grinded down on Bockwinkel. But Nick bided his time, and when the Dog let up, Nick made his way out into a hammerlock, then dropped down and hooked the legs of JYD and took him down. Bockwinkel then floated over into a side headlock of his own. Bockwinkel worked the headlock for nearly a minute, not only wearing down JYD, but using the time to allow himself to recover as well. JYD managed to get to his feet, and Bockwinkel used a back switch to get behind the Dog and dropped him with a belly to back suplex. Nick then took hold of the leg of JYD and dropped an elbow to the knee, and then clamped on a leg hold. JYD grabbed hold of the head of Bockwinkel and was able to get Nick to release the leg hold when he clamped on a headlock, but Bockwinkel rolled out of it, and both men got back to their feet. On and on from this point the match went this way, Bockwinkel attempting to control JYD with technical wrestling, and the Dog using brawling and power techniques to put Bockwinkel down at every opportunity. As the match marched past the twenty five minute mark, the game plan of Nick Bockwinkel was working well. The Junkyard Dog was pouring sweat and breathing heavily, and while Bockwinkel had taken a beating, he wasn't even breathing heavily. He continued to attack the legs of JYD whenever the opportunity presented itself, and soon after the Dog was limping. At the thirty six minute mark, Bockwinkel had the Dog caught in an arm wringer, but JYD reversed it and sent Nick into the ropes. Dog went for a clothesline, but Bockwinkel ducked it and went in to the opposite ropes. JYD turned and caught Bockwinkel in a huge Powerslam! Referee Davind Manning counted One, Two, Thr..Bockwinkel got his shoulder up at the last possible second. JYD got exhaustedly to his feet, and pulled Bockwinkel up. Dog lifted Bockwinkel for another slam, but Nick grabbed his leg and rolled him into a small package! Manning counted One, Two, Thr..KICKOUT!! Both men got to their feet, but Bockwinkel was up first and as soon as Dog was up, Bockwinkel kicked the injured leg out from under JYD and then immediately applied the Figure Four Leglock. JYD struggled and reached for Bockwinkel to try and punch his way out of the hold, but Bockwinkel was too smart for that. Nick pushed all of his weight up on to his elbows to ratchet up the pressure, as the Dog tried to reach for the ropes only to find he was just short. Bockwinkel pulled on the foot of JYD, as the Dog tried to roll the hold over with no luck. Finally JYD dug the palms of his hands into the mat and drug himself and all of the weight of Bockwinkel toward the ropes, and managed to grab the bottom rope. Bockwinkel pulled Dog to his feet, or foot as he could barely put weight on the one leg, only to be met with a huge headbutt! JYD fired another headbutt at Bockwinkel and it staggered Nick backwards. JYD hopped forward, and blasted Bockwinkel with another headbutt, and again Bockwinkel staggered back. Hop, headbutt, stagger, hop, headbutt, stagger. They made it all the way across the ring and on one leg JYD was back in control! Another headbutt sent Bockwinkel teetering backwards into the ropes, and he crashed forward to the canvas....clipping the leg of JYD on the way down. Bockwinkel looked to be out on the mat, JYD was clutching his knee, and Manning was asking Dog if he wanted him to stop the match. Dog's answer of "Hell No" was loud and clear and he began to crawl toward the ropes to pull himself up, as Bockwinkel had not moved. Manning's ten count had reached five by the time JYD managed to get himself to his feet. He limped over and reached down to get two handfuls of Bockwinkel's hair and began to pull him to his feet. Bockwinkel reached forward and grabbed the legs of an unprepared JYD and pulled them out from under him. He then rolled through with a jackknife cradle, and David Manning counted One, Two, Three. Winner, and NEW AWA World Class Heavyweight Champion: Nick Bockwinkel!

"the acceptable Korstia Korchenko" made me laugh out loud at work. I think we may have to have an intervention for this Horowitz/Fleming push

What does one have to do to watch this? and when does it start?

I am a sucker for a Battle Royal, so I am already looking forward to seeing who ends up winning the title shot against the Nature Boy! 25k to take out Bob Armstrong!! Whoever is behind that should call the Texas office! I l know some guys who'd clothesline their own mother for 25k!! Al Madril should probably retain a good lawyer and sue Thatcher for a hostile work environment. The Freebirds could win shots at all the gold in one night. Interesting to see if they can pull that off. Another week of The Blue Cyclone being dragged down by a lackluster tag team partner...... Rich picks up the win over Nagasaki in singles action! The stakes get raised in the tag title match! Looking forward to tonight's show in Dothan! Should be a good one. Loving the action every week here in Southeastern!

Idol vs Tully is going to be fantastic, because while Idol may be getting cheered, Tully now has an opponent, who can and will cheat just as often, just as well, and just as sneakily as he can. The Real Deal is yet another fantastic addition to your flourishing tag team scene. A second set of Tag Titles will do quite nicely here. Polish Power vs The Animal! Fun!! Road Warriors vs Decimation is going to be an awesome spectacle. Looking forward to it. Dude. Jayhawks vs Orton and Killer Brooks...... you're the best. Tito Santana trying to make sense of The Funker! Bad idea man, just get ready for the fight. Oh Shit, Lawler and Dundee on the same side! Fighting against Hart's boys. That cage match is going to a bloody war! Great episode of television, and Summer Blast is looking stacked!

Jim Cornette: Now Jim Ross, before you go telling these idiots that they are going to see my Midnight Express take on Ron Bass and Black Bart tonight, let me assure you that they are not! Just because two hillbillies in cowboys hats came out here and challenged us to fight because we beat up a couple of old men who watched too many John Wayne movies, doesn't mean we are gonna fight them. I mean, do you know what part of the country we are in? If we fought every self proclaimed tough guy and cowboy that wanted to fight us, we'd barely have any free time! While Cornette was ranting, he failed to see "Cowboy" Bill Watts walk out and come to stand right behind him. Jim Cornette: I mean seriously, last week we took out Lanza and Mulligan. Now we have Bart and Bass wanting to fight us. You got both Windhams, Scott Casey, who knows how many more, it's like there is some kind of infestation of idiots wearing ten gallon hats around here. What? Why are you pointing behind me? I...OHH..... Cornette turns and nearly leaps out of his shoes when he finds an angry looking Watts standing behind him. A nervous smile crosses the face of Cornette as the microphone he is holding by his waist barely picks him up saying "I wasn't talking about you" before Watts rips the microphone out of his hand. Bill Watts: You listen and you listen good you little wimp. If I didn't need you to deliver a message to your men right now, I'd knock you out! But you get your butt backstage and tell your men to get dressed, because they are wrestling Black Bart and Ron Bass tonight, and those World Class Tag Team Titles WILL be on the line! You got me? Cornette starts to protest but Watts grabs him by the shirt prompting Cornette to yell out "I GOT IT" before turning and scurrying back to the dressing room. Watts shakes his head before returning backstage. -Commercial Break- Jim Ross: Welcome back folks, as I was beginning to tell you we have quite a night of action on tap this evening. We have the final two qualifying matches for the Central States Title tournament. First Kendall Windham who picked up a huge win over Dick Murdoch a few weeks back will take on Eddie Hogan who is returning to action here in World Class after being away for some time. Then Barry Windham will go one on one with DJ Peterson in what should be an absolute classic. Nick Bockwinkel: Indeed Mr. Ross, I've spent the last week catching up on all the happenings of AWA World Class so that I could be better prepared to offer analysis this week, and both Windham and Peterson are on the proverbial roll. Jim Ross: As we heard in the opening of the program, The Midnight Express will make yet another defense of the AWA World Class Tag Team Titles, this time against a fired up Black Bart and Ron Bass. Nick Bockwinkel: Bass and Bart claim they are seeking vengeance for the attack on Blackjack Lanza, but I find that to be dubious. They formerly held those championships, and as a wrestler myself, I can tell you that when you have been the champion, and you are no longer the champion, all you think about is being the champion. So whether the righteous desire to avenge Lanze drives them or not, The Midnight Express had best be at there best, because the former champions want the belts back. Jim Ross: Speaking of champions, the AWA Heavyweight Champion of the World, Hulk Hogan will be joining us tonight. Nick Bockwinkel: Lucky us. Jim Ross: But up first, we'll be seeing The Moondogs in action! 1 Fall, 10 Minute Time Limit -The Moondogs (Cujo/Max) w/Moondog Spot vs Mike Reed/Ken Johnson- A new Moondog hit the scene, and keen eyed fans likely picked up on the fact that he worked here previously as The Mongol/Nazar Bulba. Despite that, like his partners he was now dressed in dirty, cut-off blue jeans, had bleached hair (what he'd managed to grow in during his time away that is), and was in bad need of a shave. Despite that, like his new partners, he displayed a viciousness as he went after his opponents with a newfound ferocity. He and Cujo made frequent tags and worked over Ken Johnson in the corner, taking turns slamming, stomping, forearming, and even biting the man. Finally Max hoisted him up and hit him with a Running Powerslam for the victory. Winners: The Moondogs Jim Ross: A dominant victory for The Moondogs tonight Nick. Nick Bockwinkel: I would like to double down on what I said last week about staying out of the tag team division. A bunch of brutes around here I tell you! Jim Ross: The division is certainly stacked, that's for sure. Up next we have our first of two qualifying matches for the Central States Title tournament. Nick Bockwinkel: I watched the recording of Kendall Windham competing against Dick Murdoch and while Murdoch was clearly underestimating his opponent, Windham displayed a remarkable level of skill for a man of his age and experience. Jim Ross: His opponent Eddie Hogan has been missing from World Class rings for some time now, but when I spoke to him earlier today he told me that he needed to step away frm the ring for a little while and clear his head after he and his former manager and girlfriend Sunshine split up. He says he is now rested, relaxed, clear headed, and ready to compete at the quote "Hogan Level." 1 Fall, 30 Minute Time Limit -Kendall Windham vs Eddie Hogan- This one started with a handshake and was a decent little back and forth for the opening five or so minutes. After that Kendall started getting the upper hand using more a of technical based offense that Hogan didn't seem to have an answer for. Finally at around the ten minute mark, a frustrated Hogan rolled to the floor and used most of the count before getting back into the ring. They locked back up and again Kendall took the upper hand, this time after several frustrating minutes, Eddie blasted Kendall between the eyes with a closed fist to take control and the crowd was all over him for it. The end finally came around the thirteen minute mark when Kendall caught Hogan in a roll up, but Hogan used his size to roll through and when the refs hand hit two, Hogan quickly grabbed the tights to stop the kick out and scored the victory. Winner: Eddie Hogan Jim Ross: Eddie Hogan picks up a very tainted victory to advance to the Central States Title tournament. He can't be proud of that one. Nick Bockwinkel: What's the old saying Mr. Ross, sometimes a man has to do, what a man has to do. Jim Ross: I suppose if you want to be that kind of man. We'll be right back. -Commercial Break- We come back to Marc Lowrance standing in the ring. Marc Lowrance: Ladies and Gentleman, please welcome my very special guest, the AWA Heavyweight Champion of the World, Hulk Hogan! Hogan comes out to a good ovation from the Louisiana crowd and joins Lowrance in the ring. Marc Lowrance: Hulk, thanks for joining us this evening. Hulk Hogan: It's good to be here in Shreveport tonight, Brother! That gets the crowd to cheer big! Marc Lowrance: So Hulk, in just a few days on the Fourth of July, you are going to be joining us for the Independence Day Star Wars and.. Eddie Hogan: HULK, BROTHER...HOW'S IT GOING!!! Eddie Hogan has entered the ring and is talking over Marc Lowrance. Hulk Hogan has a look of total confusion on his face. Hulk Hogan: Is there something I can do for you dude? Eddie Hogan: What? Hulk, it's me! Eddie Hogan!! Your brother, Brother!! Hulk Hogan has a "what the hell is this guy talking about" look on his face as he assumes a defensive stance. Hulk Hogan: Marc Lowrance, who is this joker? Marc Lowrance: We thought he was your brother.... Hulk Hogan: I have two brothers dude, and this guy ain't one of them. Eddie Hogan: Hulk? Brother? This isn't cool. Bill Watts and a bunch of security come from the back and enter the ring. After a minute of confusion, Eddie Hogan is escorted out of the ring by Watts and the security as Marc Lowrance and Hulk Hogan look on. Once they are out of sight, Lowrance starts the interview over. Marc Lowrance: Sorry about that champ. As I was saying, in just a few days on the Fourth of July, you are going to be joining us for the Independence Day Star Wars. As of right now, nothing has been announced concerning your involvement with the show. I was wondering if you could shed some light on exactly what you will be doing at the show. Hulk Hogan: Well I'd be glad too Marc Lowrance! You see on the Fourth of July, Hulkamania is going to roll into St. Louis and all... Hogan is nailed from behind by a large bone as Moondog Spot clobbers him in the head. Max and Cujo are right behind and all three Moondogs swarm the AWA World Heavyweight Champion. Boots and bare feet stomp on the fallen champion, and then Max and Spot pull him off the canvas and execute a double bodyslam on him that leaves him prone near the turnbuckle. That's when the Three Hundred and Seventy Five pound Cujo begins scaling to the top rope and the crowd falls silent as he leaps from the rope and crashes down onto the fallen Hogan with a Flying Elbow Drop. The silence turns into deafening cheers as Samu and The Tonga Kid, The Islanders come racing out from the back with steel chairs and hit the ring. Samu blasts Moondog Max hard in the head and sends him flying out of the ring. Spot exits before Tonga can get at him, and Cujo quickly rolls out of the ring having done his damage. The Islanders check on the fallen Hogan, as the three Moondogs look at the carnage in the ring with smiles before heading to the back. -Commercial Break- Jim Ross: Welcome back to AWA World Class Wrestling, as we all saw before the break AWA World Champion Hulk Hogan was in the ring and was assaulted by The Moondogs. They laid a pretty severe beating on him, until The Islanders came in and ran them off. Nick Bockwinkel: You left out my favorite part where the biggest of The Moondogs came off of the top rope like and squashed Mr. Hogan like a bug. Jim Ross: Not a fan of the champ are you? Nick Bockwinkel: What ever gave you that idea? Jim Ross: Okay folks, right now we are going to go to some pre-recorded comments from the AWA World Class Heavyweight Champion The Junkyard Dog and his challenger for Star Wars, "Dr. D" David Schultz. The tape opens on David Schultz sitting at a picnic table with a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken in front of him. He is taking a huge bite out of a chicken breast when he "notices" the camera. David Schultz: How come y'all only bother me when I'm trying to have my supper! They say to truly understand your opponent, you have to think like your opponent, so I've been training like The Junkyard Dog does. Yesterday I went on a three mile run, and I have tell ya, it's a lot more intense when the po-lice are chasing you baby! Then today I rolled out of bed at the crack of noon, didn't go to work cause I ain't got no job, and got me a bucket of some Kentucky Chicken. Now as soon as the mail comes with my welfare check, I'll pay the support for my eight kids and go back to bed! Schultz throws the piece of chicken in his hand back in the bucket, and then backhands the bucket off of the table. His face then takes on a serious look as the camera zooms closer. Just in case you don't understand what I'm saying to you J-Y-D. I'm saying your no good. I'm saying you lazy, I'm saying you worthless, and I'm saying you're a piece of garbage. So come Independence Day Star Wars, I am going to take the belt that rightfully belongs to Dr. D in the first place and I'm gonna hurt you real bad for making me wait this long to get it." The tape switches to JYD with the World Class belt slung over his shoulder sitting on a chair on the front porch of a house. Junkyard Dog: David Schultz, I done told you that you can keep talking all that nonsense all you want, and it ain't gonna get this dog all riled up. I heard it all my life, and this may come as a surprise but I heard it from rednecks dumber than you. But don't think for a minute that just because I'm not getting mad, doesn't mean that I won't be giving you everything I got at Star Wars. I worked hard to win this title, and you can bet your butt that I will work extra hard to keep it. So keep talking Schultz, and bring yourself to Star Wars. Cause on July Fourth, the only fireworks you are gonna see are the bright lights flashing in your head as I beat your brains out. You understand that! JYD lets out his signature bark as the camera fades. Jim Ross: There you have it folks. The men who will compete for the World Class Championship at Star Wars Nick Bockwinkel: Both of them seem determined to emerge the victor. It will be interesting to see who has the best game plan to leave St. Louis as champion. Jim Ross: Next up we have our final qualifying match for the Central States Title tournament. This should be a good one! 1 Fall, 30 Minute Time Limit -Barry Windham vs DJ Peterson- Right from the lock up this was a good one. Both men were constantly jockeying for position, and each was in control during the opening minutes of the contest. Lots of reversals, and lots of Windhams speed and technical prowess versus the raw strength of Peterson. Finally around the eleven minute mark Peterson took firm control after he caught Barry coming off the ropes with a huge press slam and deposited him in the center of the ring. Peterson would execute several more big time moves on Windham and looked to have things firmly in control. Peterson hooked Windham for a vertical suplex and hoisted him into the air, Peterson held him aloft for several seconds much to the delight of the crowd and then brought him down with a resounding thud. On the way down, Barry Windham's leg caught referee Alfred Neely in the head and knocked him to the canvas. Peterson had no idea and knew that it was time to go for the kill and mounted the turnbuckle to go for his Second Rope Shoulderblock. Windham staggered to his feet, and Peterson was ready to launch, but he never saw Hercules Hernandez running down the aisle. Hercules shoved Peterson off the turnbuckle, which sent him crashing face first into the knee area of Windham, and left both wrestlers back down on the canvas. Windham recovered first and got to his feet, as did Referee Neely. Windham had time to clear the cobwebs, and when he saw Peterson getting up charged at him and nailed him with a Lariat. Oblivious to the interference that pretty much gave him the match, Windham covered for the One, Two, Three. Winner: Barry Windham Nick Bockwinkel: Another tainted victory in the tournament qualifiers tonight Mr. Ross. Jim Ross: That is unfortunately true Nick, but Barry Windham doesn't have the slightest clue what happened. Nick Bockwinkel: So you say. Jim Ross: We now have our eight men. Barry Windham, Eddie Hogan, Kevin Von Erich, Kerry Von Erich, The Grappler, Jimmy Garvin, Jay Youngblood, and Mr. Saito are set to compete to become the first Central States Champion here in AWA World Class Wrestling. Nick Bockwinkel: That is quite a field of competitors Mr. Ross. One of them will have to win three matches in a single night to achieve the title. It will take heart, determination, and a desire to win. It will be truly interesting to see which of them has the fortitude to pull it off. Jim Ross: Alright Ladies and Gentleman, let's take our last break and come back with our main event for the World Class Tag Team Titles! -Commercial Break- 1 Fall, 60 Minute Time Limit -Ron Bass/Black Bart vs The Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton/Dennis Condrey) w/Jim Cornette- AWA World Class Tag Team Titles This begins as a wild four way brawl which Bass and Bart get the upper hand of. Bass ends up in the ring with Eaton and is able to beat on him for a good while. Bobby finally manages to tag in Dennis, who unfortunately for the champions doesn't fare much better. Bass tags in Bart and they nail Condrey with a huge double team bodyslam. Bart works over Dennis until he attempts to bounce off the ropes and Cornette reaches in and grabs his foot. Bart turns around to swipe at Cornette, and Condrey chop blocks the knee. Eaton is quickly tagged in and The Midnight Express go to work on the leg of Black Bart. This goes on for quite a while, and it looks like it may be all over for Bart until he manages to rock Eaton with a clothesline while Bobby is holding his leg. Bart hops over and tags in Bass who comes in and runs wild, rocking both members of the Express with big punches and nails them both with back body drops. Bass tries to hit Eaton with his Gourdbuster, but Condrey grabs Bobby's foot and pulls him back down, then drills Bass in the stomach with a boot. Both members of the Express, then take Bass over with a double suplex. The referee begins pushing Condrey out of the ring, and Bobby swarms in on the referee and Condrey in the corner, so that the ref never see's Cornette who has made his way to the far corner where the injured Bart is standing on the apron. Cornette rears back and smacks the injured leg of Bart with the tennis racket, who falls from the apron to the floor, clutching his leg in pain. Condrey then quickly exits the ring, Eaton jumps on Bass, and the referee is none the wiser. Eaton tags out to Condrey and they whip Bass into the ropes and hit him with a double back body drop. Eaton leaves the ring, Condrey tags him, and then Dennis lifts Bass up and gives him the Full Nelson Faceslam. Bobby comes off the top rope with the Diving Kneedrop and covers Bass for the One, Two, Three. Winners, and still AWA World Class Tag Team Champions: The Midnight Express Jim Ross: The Midnight Express retains the titles, and it would appear that Black Bart is seriously injured. Nick Bockwinkel: I am not condoning what has happened here Mr. Ross, but the champions feel backed into a corner. Management appears to have a vendetta against them, they've been given no chance to rest since acquiring the belts, they are doing what they feel is necessary to remain champions. Jim Ross: That may be, but that doesn't make it right. Bill Watts comes from the back and has a microphone in his hand. Bill Watts: Folks, I just wanted to make a couple announcements based on what has happened here this evening. Firstly, the championship committee has decided that if Hercules Hernandez wants to cost DJ Peterson his opportunity at the Central States Title tournament, then he CAN and WILL defend the World Class Television title against Peterson at Star Wars, whether he wants the rematch to happen or not! Furthermore, the AWA Heavyweight Champion Hulk Hogan is doing fine. He was originally going to be at Star Wars to present the winner of the Central States tournament with the belt, but now he wants to step into the ring. So at Star Wars, Hulk Hogan will team with The Islanders to take on all three of The Moondogs! Jim Cornette, Bobby Eaton, and Dennis Condrey come walking to where Watts is making his announcements. Jim Cornette: Now that we've finished putting all your stupid cowboy teams out to pasture, I suppose maybe we can finally get a night off at Star Wars! Bill Watts: Oh No! I have a special match planned for you. The Midnight Express will be wrestling... THE ROAD WARRIORS!! Cornette turns white as a ghost and stumbles backwards into the arms of Eaton and Condrey. Bill Watts: and not only will the Road Warriors be defending the AWA World Tag Team Titles, you will be defending the World Class Tag Team Titles! Winner Takes All!! Dennis Condrey balls up his fist like he wants to hit Watts, as Cornette can be heard saying he needs air as Eaton tries to pull him toward the back. Jim Ross: Ladies and Gentleman, that's all for this week. We'll be back here next week for another episode of World Class Wrestling, in the meantime, join us in St. Louis on the Fourth of July for Star Wars, it's gonna be a can't miss event!! Nick Bockwinkel: Yes it is. Jim Ross: Good Night Everyone! -Independence Day Star Wars- -St. Louis Arena in St. Louis, MO- The Junkyard Dog vs "Dr. D" David Schultz - AWA World Class Heavyweight Title The Road Warriors (Animal/Hawk) w/Paul Ellering vs The Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton/Dennis Condrey) w/Jim Cornette - AWA World Tag Team Titles vs AWA World Class Tag Team Titles Brad Armstrong vs Tiger Conway Jr - AWA World Lightweight Title Hercules Hernandez w/Percival Pringle III vs DJ Peterson - AWA World Class Television Title AWA World Heavyweight Champion Hulk Hogan/The Islanders (Samu/The Tonga Kid) vs The Moondogs (Spot/Cujo/Max) A 20 Man Over The Top Rope Battle Royal Plus the Central States Championship Tournament! First Round Matches: Eddie Hogan vs Kevin Von Erich "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin w/Precious vs Kerry Von Erich Mr. Saito vs Barry Windham Jay Youngblood vs The Grappler

Those last two matches are money. The Kabuki/Kendo pairing is an awesome force and with Fuji backing them up, Damn. Gonna be hard pressed to find a team that can take the belts off of them. So much star power in that main event. Good to see Bam Bam get the win, and it would seem that the mystique of the Humongous is starting to dissipate. Great loop!

Man, I put Fleming and Horowitz together on a whim as an undercard team doing the pretty boys gimmick, and now they are advancing in your tag tournament! That's awesome stuff, and I'm glad you got them! Loving the Snuka/Backlund feud and looking forward to the future twists and turns it has in store. I know "The Body" is just getting started here in Worldwide, but I am also looking forward to him making a big impact (likely on someone's skull) real soon. Killer Khan picking up the battle royal win is gonna infuriate the Giant. Pissed off Andre is gonna tear somebody up when he gets back. Great job with Rocky Johnson as the TV Champ. He is the perfect good guy at the perfect spot on the card for that kind of title, and he is getting good wins against quality opponents. and great job on the slow build of Magnum TA. He's dispatched Animal Steele, and now he can move on as we all wait in anticipation for him to set his sights on Mr. Backlund.

Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff named to Executive Positions in WWE
Blehschmidt replied to Stiva's topic in WWE
So this obviously pops a curiosity rating for a week or two, but if it's just hyperbole and nothing changes and ratings continue to tank, and the product continues to sink, what's next? Cornette in charge of Raw, and Russo to Smackdown? Desperation changes aren't the answer, and until the people up top realize that, nothing will change. The question becomes what it will take to force them to make that change? Fox cancelling Smackdown due to low viewership? God knows they cancel other highly rated properties. The inevitable quarter where profits are down? Eventually that will happen and they'll release all the people they are hoarding, but what happens if they keep going down. We all joke, but does Vince really have to die for the product to move past the "this is what things were like when we were successful" era? Would that even change it? It's fascinating to watch this company in total panic mode, when they didn't even seem this bent out of shape when WCW was actually trying to put them out of business
