The action in Southeastern is always hot, and this week doesn't disappoint!! A fired up Cooley wants his belt back, and I really dig this feud. When I think Super Ninja, Ron Slinker is usually in the top 3 names that come to mind!! Classic wrestling stuff there, love it! Armstrong bringing out the real Thunderbolt Patterson is great stuff, and I can't wait for Rogers to claim he's an imposter. Slinker don't want no part of the Gang..... Love the Road Warriors promo!! Moving on to the show... With the Thunderbolt neutralized, Armstrong picks up the belt! Oh No! Al's heart!!! Thoughts and Prayers.... Tarred and Feathered!! Heads Shaved. What stipulation could be next! Man, Flair seems a bit afraid of The Birds. Doing whatever he can to get out of matches with them. Kabuki/Kendo are just dominating the tag division. Bob gets a big win over Jake!! His reign is off to a huge start! and Tag Wars.... Larry Hamilton!!! What!!! Shocked, shocked I tell you. Cooley and Street is an interesting friendship. I hope we see more of it! Olympia is back! We finally have a core group forming that can stand up to the Army of Jones! Good stuff all around man, loving SECW!!

World Class sends Dick Murdoch to TNT for Nick Bockwinkel
-
-Broadcasting live to our local affiliates in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri, as well as in Syndication across these great United States, the American Wrestling Association proudly presents World Class Wrestling, coming to you this week from the Memorial Hall in Kansas City!- Jim Ross: Hello everyone, and welcome to another exciting week of AWA World Class Wrestling! I'm Jim Ross, and joining me as always is "Cowboy" Bill Watts! Bill Watts: Thank You Jim. We have a big week of action here tonight, as we will here a response from the Heavyweight Champion, The Junkyard Dog to the words of David Schultz from last week. We will have Hercules Hernandez defending the Television Title, and we will have two more qualifying matches for the big Central States Title tournament that will take place at the upcoming Independence Day Star Wars. Jim Ross: That's one heck of a line up Bill. I understand that you also have announcement later on this evening concerning our new Tag Team Champions, The Midnight Express. Bill Watts: That's right Jim. Bob Geigel and the Board of Directors have some thoughts about the way things went down last week, but we'll get into that a little later on this evening. Jim Ross: I look forward to it Cowboy. Let's head down to the ring where Hercules is set to defend the Television title. 1 Fall, 15 Minute Time Limit -Hercules Hernandez w/Percival Pringle III vs Joe Lightfoot - AWA World Class Television Title Hercules rushes Lightfoot before the bell rings and just decimates him with a clothesline. Once the bell rings, this is a totally one sided affair as Hercules just beats on him with clubs across the back, more clotheslines, and then finally hoists him up into the Over the Shoulder Backbreaker for the victory. Winner, and still AWA World Class Television Champion: Hercules Hernandez Marc Lowrance is waiting for Hercules and Pringle outside of the ring as they exit. Marc Lowrance: Another defense of the Television Title in the books, and.. Percival Pringle III: Quiet down Lowrance, and allow the viewers at home to gaze at my Hercules! Look at him, he barely broke a sweat in that ring tonight. He has no competition for this title. No mere mortal can even come close to defeating him. A cheer goes up from the crowd as DJ Peterson comes down the aisle and marches straight to the interview area. Percival Pringle III: What do you want!! DJ Peterson: No one can come close? I seem to remember taking him to his limit at Star Wars until time ran out!! Percival Pringle III: YOU DIDN'T BEAT HIM!! DJ Peterson: All I need is one more chance. Percival Pringle III: Out of the question. You had your chance. DJ Peterson: You afraid I'll whip your meal ticket? Fat Man!! Hercules lunges past Pringle and tries to hit Peterson with the belt, but with both Pringle and Lowrance in the way, doesn't manage to get a clean hit. Immediately Hercules and Peterson begin to brawl, as Lowrance runs for cover and Pringle is knocked to the floor. It goes on for close to a minute, and just as Peterson begins to get the upper hand, a herd of security and officials reach ringside and break it up. Pringle grabs the Television Title off the floor and rushes himself and Hercules backstage. A fuming Peterson is given a huge ovation from the crowd as he is pushed back to the locker room by security. -Commercial Break- Jim Ross: Welcome back folks, just before the commercial break we saw Hercules Hernandez make another defense of the Television Title. But after the match DJ Peterson who took the champion to a time limit draw back on Memorial Day came looking for a rematch. Bill Watts: That loud mouth Pringle didn't seem keen on that idea, and next thing we knew Herc and DJ were going at it. I have to think the championship committee will be looking long and hard at making that one happen. Jim Ross: I sure hope so Bill. Up next we have our first of two qualifying matches for the upcoming Central States Title tournament. Tonight these men are wrestling for a spot in the tournament, while the tournament itself will take place at the upcoming Independence Day Star Wars show. Bill Watts: Competing in this match will be the masked newcomer known as The Nightmare. A stocky, barrel chested bruiser who possesses a devastating piledriver. He'll be taking on Jay Youngblood, who is going to take a shot at some singles gold while his younger brother recovers from an injury. Jim Ross: This should be an outstanding contest Cowboy. Let's head to the ring. 1 Fall, 30 Minute Time Limit -Jay Youngblood vs The Nightmare- The Nightmare powered Youngblood to the canvas out of the collar and elbow and then blasted him with a clothesline. He scooped Youngblood off the canvas and planted him with a big bodyslam. For the next several minutes, The Nightmare would maintain control with an arsenal of power moves. The tide would shift on an Irish whip when Nightmare went for a back body drop, but Youngblood vaulted over him into a sunset flip. A stunned Nightmare managed to kick out at two, but Youngblood took the offensive and began to lay into the masked man with punches and chops, and finally a big dropkick that sent him to the mat. Youngblood would keep the advantage for several minutes working over Nightmare with a chinlock, some more blistering chops, and a big suplex. Finally Youngblood went up top and delivered the Flying Tomahawk and covered for the three count and the win. Winner: Jay Youngblood Jim Ross: Jay Youngblood picks up a big win against The Nightmare and advances to the Central States Title Tournament. Bill Watts: The Nightmare looked great out there tonight, but Youngblood was able to absorb what he dished out and come back to pick up the win. Jim Ross: We still have one more qualifying match a bit later on, but right after this break, I am being told that the World Class Heavyweight Champion, The Junkyard Dog will be joining us for comments! -Commercial Break- Marc Lowrance: Welcome back Ladies and Gentleman, Marc Lowrance here with the AWA World Class Heavyweight Champion, The Junkyard Dog. Last week "Dr. D" David Schultz was out here and he made some terrible comments before laying out a challenge to you JYD. Your response? JYD: Marc Lowrance, I been dealing with idiots like David Schultz spouting nonsense like that my whole life. I learned when I was just a little pup not to let it get under my skin if you know what I'm saying. But if that dumb redneck wanna come out here and challenge me to a fight, well that's where I gotta draw the line! Because the Dog ain't never backed down from a fight, and I sure ain't gonna start now! So David Schultz, you wanna wrestle me again for this Heavyweight Title, then let's do it my man, and let's do it on the Fourth of July at the Star Wars! Marc Lowrance: There you have it Ladies and Gentleman! The Junkyard Dog and "Dr. D" David Schultz for the World Class Heavyweight Title at Independence Day Star Wars! JYD: If that boy's a doctor, I hope he's ready to perform surgery, cause that's the only way he's gonna get my boot outta his butt! JYD barks to the cheers of the crowd and holds the World Class Heavyweight Belt in the air as he heads to the back. Jim Ross: There you have it folks, JYD accepts the challenge of David Schultz, and we have our Heavyweight Championship match set for Independence Day Star Wars. Bill Watts: I never doubted for a minute that the Dog wouldn't accept the challenge of Schultz, and while he may claim the comments don't bother him. Believe me when I tell you that when he starts punching Doctor D, he'll be thinking about them! Jim Ross: I don't doubt that for a minute Cowboy. Alright, up next we have our second Central States Title Tournament qualifying match. It will see young Sam Houston, a talented youngster taking on another man making his debut in this version of World Class Wrestling, "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin. Bill Watts: Underneath the big hair, the sequins, and the preening, Garvin is a talented wrestler and he's been around these parts before. Houston as you mentioned is an up and comer who has a bright future ahead of him. Garvin likely has the advantage here, but Houston should never be counted out. 1 Fall, 30 Minute Time Limit -"Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin w/Precious vs Sam Houston- We started with some strutting, and some stalling, and then some more stalling. By the time Garvin finally locked up, Houston was irate and while he got off an initial flurry of offense, Garvin went straight to the floor so that Precious could check his hair and rub his shoulders. Houston followed him out, chased him around the ring, and then got kicked hard in the head when he followed him back in. After that, it was all control from Garvin who kept it nice and slow and worked his match, until he finally finished Houston off with a nasty Brainbuster. Winner: Jimmy Garvin Marc Lowrance: I am here with your winner Jimmy Garvin and the lovely Precious. Jimmy Garvin: Am I looking good tonight or what Marc Lowrance? ... No need to answer that, I already know the answer. When Precious and I got the call to come to AWA World Class I knew I would be going straight to the top, but if I'd known it was going to be this easy, I'd have been here months ago! Now I'm qualified for the Central States tournament, so we are already on the road to gold, and if there is one thing my Precious loves it gold. Ain't that right baby? Precious nods and continues to rub the muscles in the arms of Garvin. Jimmy Garvin: Now if you'll excuse us Marc Lowrance, the champagne is on ice, the limousine is waiting, and we want nothing more than to get as far away from Kansas City as we can! Garvin and Precious leave to a chorus of boo's as Lowrance shrugs his shoulders. -Commercial Break- When we return Bill Watts is standing in front of the ring holding a microphone. Bill Watts: Ladies and Gentleman, last week we all saw Jim Cornette and his Midnight Express arrive here in World Class wrestling and win the Tag Team Titles from The Blackjacks. We also all saw them cheat to do it. Well over the course of the last week, the Board of Directors here in World Class including Bob Geigel and myself had a meeting to discuss that match and the title change. Dressed in a pink suit with a red shirt and a white tie, carrying his trusty tennis racket, Jim Cornette comes marching out from the back and is already ranting by the time the microphone Watts is holding picks him up. Jim Cornette: ..if you think for a second that you are just gonna take those titles away from us Watts, I will have my Mother's lawyers sue you and everyone involved with this redneck company so fast that you won't be able to afford to pay attention! Bill Watts: No one said anything about taking the titles away from your men. I voted for that to happen, but the decision of the referee is final, and we stand behind our officials. Jim Cornette: Oh, well good, maybe you idiots have a lick of sense after all. Bill Watts: But the Board of Directors has decided to grant The Blackjacks a rematch for those titles, next week on this television program. Jim Cornette: We didn't agree to that.. Bill Watts: and since we'll be at the Sportatorium in Dallas next week, we've decided it should be a Texas Tornado match with all four men in the ring at once! Jim Cornette: WHAT! Bill Watts: It will also be No Count Out and No Disqualification. Jim Cornette: You can't do this! This is ridiculous! I'm calling my Mother right now! Watts draws back like he is going to hit Cornette with the microphone, and Cornette quickly takes off toward the dressing room still in a frantic state. Watts makes his way back to the announce position, where Jim Ross is sitting with a smirk on his face. Jim Ross: Heh. Folks, we'll be right back! -Commercial Break- When we return Marc Lowrance is standing at ringside with Barry Windham and another wrestler who is tall, and blonde, but very skinny. Marc Lowrance: Ladies and Gentleman, I am here with Barry Windham and a special guest. Barry Windham: Thanks Marc. Ladies and Gentleman, this is a special moment for me. This guy standing next to me is my little brother Kendall. He's just signed a contract with AWA World Class and will be making his debut real soon. He's been... "YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!!" Both Windhams and Marc Lowrance turn to see Dick Murdoch making his way to ringside with a bemused look on his face. He walks over to Lowrance and grabs the microphone. Dick Murdoch: It's bad enough that I've had to spend the last two months smacking you around boy, now there's gonna be another one of you running around here? What's next, is your daddy gonna wrestle here too? Look at this kid! I've have fence posts that are bigger round than him. Is this some kinda joke or something? Barry Windham: He could take you Murdoch. Dick Murdoch: Yeahhh... If I lost to that tooth pick, I'd never show my face around here again. Kendall Windham: Then get in the ring if you got the guts! Kendall pulls off his shirt and rolls into the ring in his blue jeans and cowboy boots. Murdoch gets the same goofy grin on his face and pulls off his t-shirt, which he throws at Barry, before sliding into the ring. Jim Ross: Do we have a match? Bill Watts: What the heck! Ring the bell!! 1 Fall, TV Time Remaining -Dick Murdoch vs Kendall Windham- As soon as the bell rings, Murdoch charges Windham who side steps him and uses his momentum to shove him into the buckle, Kendall then drops down and cradles him for the One, Two, Thre...KICK OUT!! Murdoch pops to his feet and Kendall takes him over with a side headlock. Kendall is quickly back up and nailed Murdoch with a huge dropkick that staggers him into the ropes. Kendall goes for an Irish whip, but Murdoch reverses it and catches a big knee to the guts as Kendall comes off the ropes. The look of amusement returns to the face of Murdoch as he drops Kendall to the mat with a huge punch. Murdoch jerks him off the mat by the hair and gives him a huge bodyslam, and follows it with another. Murdoch yells something at Barry, before picking Kendall up and laying another hard knee into the midsection. Murdoch yells out "Watch This!" and then hits Kendall with a very nice dropkick of his own. Again Murdoch yanks him up by the hair and puts him in position for the Brainbuster. Then a big smile crosses his face and he shakes his head as if to say not yet, and instead slaps him hard across the face. Murdoch then whips Windham into the ropes, and leans down for a back body drop. On the rebound, Kendall leap frogs over Murdoch and as Murdoch stands up, the rebounding Kendall catches him and plants him face first with a huge Bulldog!! Kendall quickly rolls Murdoch over and referee Jerry Usher counts One, Two, Three!!! Winner: Kendall Windham Jim Ross: HE GOT HIM!! Barry is in the ring in a flash and hoists his celebrating brother in the air, as a stunned Dick Murdoch stares at them in disbelief. The Windhams continue to celebrate as the KC crowd goes nuts, and Murdoch rolls out of the ring and heads to the back shaking his head with a look of shock on his face. Bill Watts: I don't think saw Dick Murdoch saw that one coming Jim. Jim Ross: He certainly didn't Cowboy. Bill Watts: Maybe he can go commiserate with Cornette! Jim Ross: Ha! Maybe so. Well folks, on a night where Jay Youngblood and Jimmy Garvin qualified for the Central States Title Tournament. Where we learned The Blackjacks will meet The Midnight Express in a Tornado match for the Tag Team Titles next week. Where we learned The Junkyard Dog and David Schultz will clash for the Heavyweight Title at Star Wars, and where we saw Kendall Windham shock the world. This is Jim Ross, for Bill Watts saying Goodnight Everyone!

If Super Ninja causes OMG and Fuji many more losses, I don't think he'll be long for this world! Nice win for DWB over Bugsy. The Mixed 6 Person would be quite the spectacle and would get over with the audience, great booking. The Cooley/Madril feud is gonna be great, and a series of Count Outs around the loop is a great start. The Nightmares get up is fantastic! I can only imagine the 6 Man Grudge Match was a wild brawl. Bullet takes down the Humongous!! Bob lets the world know this title reign is no fluke. Awesome!!
-
Buddy Landell takes his first step toward gold! I for one am rooting for The Nature Boy, so screw you Whalen! Gotta agree with Gene, nice win for Jim, cause I think Ox still had to be the favorite even if he's a little past his prime. Rude and Neidhart round out the tournament advancements and the second round is looking good. Armstrong and Kid seem poised to have another classic, and it's broken up by the Flyers, and I think we have a potential tag team classic in our future! Also, interested to see when the hammer is gonna fall on Heenan ignoring Rude. The Ravishing One's ego isn't going to allow him to be ignored for long. Good stuff all around!!

Good lord, either Vince Russo was in charge of the Stampede reboot or whoever was doing it should be Vince's top writer. In 1 hour we had Kenny Johnson, H. Ivy Thomsen, Dick Butkus Jr, Dirty Dick Raines, and Principal Richard Pound I suppose Kenny Johnson could be a real name, but the rest of those are something....
-
Hey, we haven't had the Iron Man Match yet! Imagine all of the finisher kick outs when it goes into Over Time!! God, I hope didn't just jinx us all....
-
Scotty Flamingo/Johnny Polo to Raven.... Exchanging the neon tights and the jean jacket for jean shorts, tattoos, and a leather jacket took a lower midcard joke and turned him into one of my favorite acts of the 90's, a multiple time world champion, and a guy copied by everyone that joined an e-fed from 1997 to 2002!
-
Texas Red's temper getting the best of him and it could have cost them the belts. Spoiler won't likely put up with too much of that. If The Brigade can stick together, they are going to be a force here in Pacific. But I wouldn't put it past Rose to be trying to turn someone!! Haynes, Borne, and Adams is one heck of a team, but man the babyfaces seem outnumbered around here!!
-
I just can't figure out how the "who gets to keep their indy name" lottery works. Keith Lee, Deonna Purazzo, and Matt Riddle are good but all of these guys aren't?
-
Yeah but then you have Trevor Lee as Cameron Grimes, Shane Strickland as Isaiah Scott, DJ Z as Joaquin Wilde, ACH as Jordan Myles, and Jonah Rock as Bronson Reed. I guess Joaquin Wilde has potential, but the rest hover on the line between generic and terrible.

World Class drops: Bob Bradley, Omar Atlas, and Pete Sanchez and picks up: Mr. Pogo, Ted Allen, and The Mongol (Apologies, I know I just dropped Mongol and picked up Atlas and Sanchez like 2 days ago, but inspiration struck me!) Also Jim Cornette and The Italian Stallion are missing from my roster

Holy Crap! What a show! The Gang makes an immediate impact and lays the squash on Jimmy Golden. Another masked man distracts the mysterious masked man to give Armstrong and Street the win, this is getting confusing!! Al Madril is a dirty heel! Big win right off the bat as he picks up the Mississippi Title. Glad I sent him your way, as you are using him way better than I did! Nightmares get the shave job and I bet the 41k in attendance were absolutely loving it. Brad wins the Lightweight Title! Awesome! Freebirds take down the Army, and Gordy busts out the SPIKE!! to give the Humongous his first loss!! A Road Warriors feud with Devastation Inc could be real interesting and real ugly....looking forward to it! Bullet Bob beats Flair!!! Holy Shit! Wasn't expecting that at all!! That turned June Jam into a party!! WOW! Great Show Dude! and one comment about your TV show, it's a good thing that Frank Reynolds took the fall in that tag match, because the Blue Cyclone is the meanest wrassler the ring has ever known!!
-
You get the feeling that Steve and Denny might not be so buddy buddy by the end of Match 3....I do.... Dream Machine takes advantage of Wells being without his manager and picks up a big win. A draw between the Jayhawks and the Wrestlings, and I am already looking forward to the rematch. I love me some Jayhawks! Santana gets a nice win over Roop, that has to put him in title contention, but if we know Roop, he'll be looking for revenge. Tully, Tully, Tully. Never bet against him. Guerrero may have won the shot, but winning the belt is a whole other story. Nice try kid! Oh man, Lawler is gonna be pissed. Not only did he get screwed, but now there is a pretender to the throne. This is gonna get ugly. The Fabs finally get the belts, then the former champs split in the most violent way possible. Love It! Loved all of it. Now we get Decimation vs the Fabs, and you get a nice Ayala vs Atlas feud as well. Perfectly booked! Funker and Nicky have another good one, with more from Roop and Tito. Terry comes out on top, but it seems he doesn't appreciate Mr. Santana. Tito better watch himself or he may see a side of Terry that TNT hasn't gotten a look at yet. Cocoa picks up a big win in a violent win to close out the show! Already excited for Summer Blast and don't know a damn match on the card!!!!
-
"The Body" shows up and immediately there is a new threat to both of the singles titles. Any combination of the Rougeau Brothers have to be a huge threat to the Tag Titles Good stuff with Steele attacking Magnum backstage! Backlund/Snuka in the cage at the Garden! Oh man, shit just got real!!

-Broadcasting live to our local affiliates in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri, as well as in Syndication across these great United States, the American Wrestling Association proudly presents World Class Wrestling, coming to you this week from the Irish McNeil Boys Club in Shreveport, Louisiana!- Jim Ross: Hello everyone and welcome back to AWA World Class Wrestling! I'm Jim Ross, and I'll be joined momentarily by "Cowboy" Bill Watts and we are back in the thick of things tonight after a well earned vacation following Star Wars. So let's head down to ringside where The Cowboy is waiting with a special announcement! We cut to Bill Watts standing at ringside holding a microphone. "Ladies and Gentleman, Thank You for joining us here tonight and Thank You for helping us make Memorial Day Star Wars a huge success. It was such a success in fact that I am here tonight to announce that we are gonna do it again! On the Fourth of July, at the St. Louis Arena in St Louis, Missouri we are going to present Independence Day Star Wars! Just like before it will feature all of the biggest names from AWA World Class Wrestling, the AWA Champions will be coming in, and tonight I am here to announce that we will crown a new champion for AWA World Class that night. Each week we run shows in six great states right here in the central part of these United States, and we've decided to make a new title to represent the people that come out to support us each and every week, and to represent those states that are the lifeblood of AWA World Class. Beginning tonight, and for the next four weeks we will have qualifying matches until we have eight men set to compete. Then at Independence Day Star Wars, we will have a one night tournament and the winner will become the first AWA World Class Central States Champion. Again, we want to thank everyone for their support, we look forward to seeing you at the arena's and that's enough talking, let's get to some action!" The crowd cheers for The Cowboy as Watts hands the microphone to Marc Lowrance and heads for the announce position. Jim Ross: Big news from the Cowboy tonight. Another Star Wars, and a new belt coming to World Class, the Central States Title. Now, like he said, let's head to the ring for some action! 1 Fall, 10 Minute Time Limit -Jose Lothario vs Tiger Conway Jr- Since turning on his partner several weeks back, Tiger Conway has become a different person. His afro is picked out as big as he can make it. He has begun growing a Fu Manchu mustache, and his usual blue trunks have been replaced with camouflage pants. A black glove and sunglasses (which he thankfully removes when the bell rings) round out his new look. When the bell rings he is much more aggressive, attacking Lothario immediately and relentlessly. Eventually Lothario started to mount a comeback, but Conway managed to get the ref out of position and kicked Jose hard in the groin. A simple roll up, with a hook of the tights brought an end to this one. Winner: Tiger Conway Jr. As Conway was celebrating his victory, Lothario was trying to tell Referee Alfred Neely what happened with the low blow. As Lothario was doing so, two large African American men dressed in military fatigues hit the ring and clobbered Lothario from behind. The slightly smaller one scooped Jose up and drilled him into the mat with a huge powerslam. The bigger one then bounced off the ropes and dropped onto Lothario with a huge diving headbutt, then when he rolled out of the way, the other nailed Jose with a big splash. As the two massive men came together in the center of the ring, Conway walked into the center of them and they all touched fists before walking out together to massive boo's. -Commercial Break- Jim Ross: Welcome back folks, before the break we saw Jose Lothario get cheated out of a victory by Tiger Conway and then get destroyed by two men dressed in camouflage. We have no idea who they were, but Conway certainly seemed friendly enough with them. Bill Watts: The change in attitude from Conway over the last few weeks has been something to see. I'll admit that I've seen those two men before, but they didn't look or act like that when I knew them. Jim Ross: Up next we have the first qualifying match for the Central States Title Tournament. We'll see Chick Donovan take on a newcomer to World Class, the masked Grappler. Bill Watts: Donovan came close to being the first Television Champion, and now has his sights set on this belt. But The Grappler is a crafty veteran, and he is a dangerous addition to the locker room here in World Class. 1 Fall, 30 Minute Time Limit -Chick Donovan vs The Grappler- Donovan came out fast and tried to dazzle The Grappler with some quick arm drags and a big dropkick right off the bat. Donovan whipped Grappler into the ropes and went for another dropkick, but The Grappler held onto the ropes and Donovan crashed hard to the mat. After that The Grappler went to work, keeping Donovan on the mat with a series of wear down holds and driving him into the mat with slams and suplexes that had Donovan clutching his neck and back. Finally, Grappler drilled Chick with a huge Lariat and cradled him for the three count and the victory. Winner: The Grappler Marc Lowrance is waiting for The Grappler as he exits the ring. Marc Lowrance: Grappler, welcome to AWA World Class wrestling, and congratulations on your victory which now qualifies you to compete in the tournament for the Central States Title at the upcoming Star Wars. The Grappler: One down, seven men to go Marc Lowrance. I've wrestled one match in this company and I am closer to gold than most people get in their lives. There is a reason for that Marc Lowrance. They got a name for you when you're the world's greatest wrestler. They don't call you a great wrestler, they call you The Grappler. Beat Me, if you can. The Grappler walks away as Marc Lowrance shrugs his shoulders and we cut back to the announce position. Jim Ross: A man of few words, but an impressive win from The Grappler tonight Bill. Bill Watts: For sure Jim. Let's take a quick break, and when we come back the new AWA World Class Tag Team Champions, The Blackjacks are going to join Marc Lowrance for an interview. -Commercial Break- When we come back from break, Marc Lowrance is standing at ringside with Blackjack Mulligan and Blackjack Lanza. Both men are in black trunks, black vests, black cowboy hats, and have the World Class Tag Titles strapped around their waists. Marc Lowrance: Ladies and Gentleman, joining me now are the new AWA World Class Tag Team Champions, The Blackjacks! Gentleman, how does it feel! Blackjack Lanza: I have to tell you, it feels great. It'd been a while since we rode together, and a lot of people wrote me off as being finished, as being over the hill. But I'm here to tell you that even if this is our last ride, we plan on making it one hell of a ride! Blackjack Mulligan: I'd been out knocking heads in California for a while and I knew my partner here was teaching a couple kids some things down this way, but when the time came and he needed some back up against those so called cowboys Bart and Bass, he knew I was only a call away. Now, we....who's this.... On the other side of Marc Lowrance, stands a man wearing a bright red suit jacket with black trousers, a black shirt, and a pink striped tie. He is holding a tennis racket and has a look of sheer boredom on his face as the Blackjacks talk. Marc Lowrance: Can I help you? "Well I was just wondering if these two were gonna ramble on like a couple of Alzheimer patients all day, or if they were actually going to defend those tag team titles any time soon?" Marc Lowrance: Who are you? "Who am I? Well good lord Marc Lowrance, you really are just a microphone stand aren't you. Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Jim Cornette and I am the manager of the best tag team in wrestling today, The Midnight Express. I was sitting in the back listening to these two ramble on about the glory days of Gunsmoke and The Rifleman, and figured I'd come on out here and introduce myself so they'd know the man who was managing the men who would be taking those shiny gold belts away from them, as soon as they decided that the osteoporosis had let up enough to allow them to step into the ring again!" Blackjack Mulligan grabs Cornette by the jacket and Cornette immediately starts begging. Blackjack Mulligan: I don't care who you are you little pipsqueak! You talk to us like that again, and I'll break you in half! Blackjack Lanza: You think your Midnighters or whatever they're called are so good. We'll fight them right here, right now for these belts. The Blackjacks ain't afraid of nobody! Mulligan lets Cornette go, and shoots a backwards glance at Lanza before turning his attention back to a retreating Cornette. The camera catches Cornette's face turn from a look of concern to a "I got what I came for" smile before he disappears backstage. Blackjack Mulligan: You heard the man pipsqueak, bring 'em out, and we'll put 'em down. The Blackjacks head into the ring to the cheers of the crowd. -Commercial Break- Jim Ross: Ladies and Gentleman, welcome back to AWA World Class. We've gotten word during the commercial break, that this is going to happen! The Blackjacks are going to defend the World Class Tag Team Titles against this Jim Cornette's Midnight Express and it's happening RIGHT NOW! Bill Watts: This little runt Cornette has been slinking around our business for several years now, and there have been several teams called the Midnight Express, so I don't know exactly who is about to come out here. But when it comes to fighting an unknown commodity, there have never been two tougher men than The Blackjacks, so they likely aren't the least bit worried. Jim Cornette comes back out from the dressing room with a microphone Jim Cornette: Ladies and Gentleman, please welcome the next AWA World Class Tag Team Champions, Loverboy Dennis and Beautiful Bobby...THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS!! 1 Fall, 30 Minute Time Limit -The Blackjacks (Blackjack Mulligan/Blackjack Lanza) vs The Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton/Dennis Condrey) w/Jim Cornette- AWA World Class Tag Team Titles Condrey and Eaton hit the ring in matching silver jackets, with red tights/trunks. Cornette meanwhile is a whirlwind of trash talk and motion at ringside. Mulligan starts the match and gets the best of both members of the Express, but they are quick to tag and not let themselves get worked over too much. Eventually Mulligan is getting the best of Bobby and tags in Lanza, who maintains control for a few minutes, until Condrey enters the ring and clips the leg. Eaton tags and Dennis goes to work on the fallen Lanza. The Midnights keep Lanza in their corner and relentlessly work him over with high impact moves and frequent tags and score several two counts. Mulligan finally has enough and charges into the ring and a brawl breaks out among all four men. As referee Alfred Neely is trying to separate Dennis Condrey from Mulligan and push Mulligan out of the ring, Jim Cornette climbs onto the apron and blasts Blackjack Lanza in the back with the tennis racket. Lanza collapses and Eaton is quick to cover him. Neely turns around and quickly drops down to count the cover, as Condrey charges back across the ring and stops Mulligan from breaking up the pin. Winners, and NEW AWA World Class Tag Team Champions: The Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton/Dennis Condrey) Jim Ross: Of all the low down... As Mulligan stands over a recovering a Lanza in the ring, Bobby and Dennis are leaving with the belts and Cornette has stopped by the announce position. Jim Cornette: Looks like Hoss and Little Joe didn't get all the cattle to the auction or something. I don't know, Mother never allowed me to watch that low brow entertainment! The rodeo is closed! The last ride is over! You have new Tag Team Champions Bill Watts, and they are the best tag team in the whole world! You're Welcome!! Cornette reaches out and flicks the cowboy hat of Bill Watts then laughs and joins Condrey and Eaton as they head to the back. Bill Watts: That little son of a bi... Jim Ross: BILL! Bill Watts: Let's go to commercial. -Commercial Break- As the show comes back from commercial break, "Dr. D" David Schultz is standing next to Marc Lowrance at ringside. Marc Lowrance: David Schultz, we don't have you scheduled to be out here, we are supposed to be starting our main event. David Schultz: I don't care what you have scheduled, I don't care about your main event. What I care about is the fact that I've beaten everybody that's been put in front of me. I've beaten everybody I've stepped in this ring with. Ya understand that? The only loss on my record since I come into World Class wrestling is supposedly to The Junkyard Dog, and everybody whose been paying any kind of attention knows that one was crooked. I should already be the champion. I should have won the tournament. But Dr. D isn't one to come out here and cry and whine about it, so I asked for my rematch. Did I get it. Hell No, I didn't. John Studd got it, and he didn't get the job done neither. So now I am coming out here in front of the world and I am calling out The Junkyard Dog! Marc Lowrance: The Junkyard Dog isn't here tonight. David Schultz: Well ain't that convenient. Marc Lowrance: He was given the night off to visit his family. David Schultz: Is that his Daddy in jail, or his Granny in the fields? The Louisiana crowd does not like that one as the boo's come hot and heavy. Marc Lowrance: I don't think that's appropriate. David Schultz: Oh, now you wanna talk about what's not appropriate, huh? What's not appropriate is the so called champion of World Class sitting home acting like a coward! What's not appropriate is Junkyard Dog ducking Dr. D! So listen up BOY, and I'll speak real slow so that you can understand me.....I..want..to..fight..you..for..that..title! That's a challenge BOY. Now you just gotta prove to all your people that you got the guts to accept it. Schultz shoves the microphone into the chest of Marc Lowrance and heads for the back to a heavy round of boo's Jim Ross: First we have The Midnight Express cheating to win the Tag Team Titles on their first night in the company. Then we have this Jim Cornette getting you all riled up Cowboy, and now we have David Schultz pushing the lines of decency. Bill Watts: Firstly, let me apologize for my slip of the tongue a little earlier. That little weasel Jim Cornette is the kind of guy you just want to punch, and unfortunately as long as I am sitting at this table, I am prohibited from punching anyone. Secondly, everyone at AWA World Class would like to apologize for the remarks just made by David Schultz. But I am sure once Junkyard Dog returns from his vacation, he will make Schultz pay for everything he just said and then some. Jim Ross: Alright Cowboy, this night has already been wild, so let's head down to the ring for our main event. Another qualifying match for entry into the Central States Title Tournament. 1 Fall, 30 Minute Time Limit -Ron Bass vs Kevin Von Erich- Bass attacked Kevin before the bell and controlled the opening minutes of the match. Bass used his size advantage and a series of wear down holds to keep Kevin on the mat and managed a two count off of a powerslam. Bass attempted his Gourdbuster finisher, but Kevin was able to reverse the momentum and rolled Bass into a small package, that got a count of two. It was the shift in the match that Kevin needed to assume control and he began to work Bass over with punches and kicks, and then rocked him with a huge monkey flip out of the corner. A big dropkick caught Bass flush, and Kevin would go on to control the remainder of the match. He finally caught Bass with a turning flying crossbody from the top and David Manning counted the 1,2,3. Winner: Kevin Von Erich Jim Ross: Kevin Von Erich joins The Grappler as the first two men to advance to the Central States Title Tournament. Bill Watts: Two matches down, and six more will occur in the coming weeks as we set the field. Jim Ross: We also saw new Tag Team Champions crowned tonight as The Midnight Express of Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condrey along with their manager Jim Cornette have taken the tag team division by storm. Bill Watts: I am sure The Blackjacks will have something to say about that. Jim Ross: That's it for tonight folks. We'll see you next week!

Bad News and The Brain!! I Love It! I have to say that I am really enjoying the split that you have going on here. It nicely divides up your rosters, gives you a nice us vs them story to play with, and probably makes it easier for you to keep track of things. Good stuff all around man!
