  1. Dusty was a really good announcer.
  2. You should perhaps consider the unique goals that Cuba was able to achieve by nuclear proliferation and how little sense special criticism of a figure for merely talking about the possibility of nuking the only country with the distinction of actually using nuclear weapons against non-military targets to achieve a political end makes. And I'm certainly bothered by all the jackboots, rapists and thugs he executed. Liberals, man. Che teamed up with Mando and Hector in the AWA right?
  3. You have to remember the era he started. He was a huge man, especially for seventies wrestling. I think he gets an unfair rap at times. He knew when to hit his spots and why, and had a few good looking suplexes.
  4. A dude with Dustin's size and ability would of easily had a spot in the mid card. All things considered, he is an under achiever.
  5. That Raw match was really good and they both did a good job switching roles. It was Shawn's first match as a heel after Summerslam 97. A week later I think they did a HHH/Shawn vs Taker and Mankind match. Though I do not remember much of it.
  6. Also if the story is true, it was nice of JR to take the time to visit a shithole of a school on his own time.
  7. Would help if the guy gave an exact date. Should be pretty easy to verify.
  8. This time he should fight for alimony, then have the checks sent directly to the previous exes. Flair must have a codependent personality to keep getting married at his age.
  9. My favorite Shawn moment was when he was being beat up by Taker and ran up the ramp. It was the last show to have the In Your House set. When Taker came after him, Shawn started pounding on the door like a girl in a horror movie.
  10. His match with Bossman in December 93 on Saturday Night was a great performance from Rude. Maybe the best I have ever seen from him.
  11. Up to 2001 he was a junior partner in matches, having to follow the veterans lead. By 02 he was now the guy calling the shots.
  12. I think that push also goes against Shawn too. I can only speak for myself, but I have a hard time judging him fairly because of it. He was shoved down my throat so hard for so long, that my first instinct is to take the piss out of him. It helps that so much of his post come back output is bad to mediocre.
  13. Which says more about you than it does the Macho Man.
  14. What they do in the ring has nothing to do with wrestling ability. Savage has more natural talent in his little finger than Angle and RVD do combined. Shit I like RVD more than most people, but saying he has more natural talent than Randy Savage is fucking ridiculous.
  15. Now you're either trolling which I'm not going to play to, or you are easily satisfied by the pro wrestling product - in which case I envy you. Says the guy who thinks Kurt Angle and RVD are better than Randy Savage.
  16. No, I'm mad that Cena ruined the gravitas of the match by his actions at the end of ER. Which he didn't. If anything he added to it.
  17. I'm trying to think of more ways to say you are wrong. But basically you're wrong. Cena did a great job of selling the beating. He was selling the arm for over a week at house shows. You're mad Cena won and can't get over it.
  18. According to Paul Bearer, it was always meant for Glenn Jacobs to be Kane. I think he was Doomsday to prepare for the Kane gimmick.
  19. Gary Hart called him Virgil a few times in early 88.
  20. Where he was bleeding and his arm was basically dead and Cena sounded like he had just had the shit kicked out of him.
  21. I was, too. Warrior was my first favorite wrestler, and I don't know what kind of joyless bastard you would have to be to hate Randy Savage, so I was happy neither of them sold out at the time. As an adult....Flair and Perfect went a very long way to accomplish something that they could have gotten from jumping Savage in the parking lot before his title defense against Flair. If the in-universe goal was to injure Savage's knee going into that match, this was kind of a needlessly elaborate plan that could've easily backfired on them. If the real life goal was to create added tension for the Savage/Warrior match, it's not like either of those guys need help being paranoid and insane. I was actually watching their tag against the Nasty Boys from the SummerSlam Spectacular just the other day. You totally buy that these guys would have dissension even without an outside heel party getting involved. So the storyline comes across as kinda pointless to me. I would guess they were hoping to make one of them snap and burn out at the PPV then pick up the scraps. When it became apparent that was not going to happen, they just fucked up Savage's knee. I would assume the main thing was for Warrior not to get the title. I hated Warrior for awhile after Wrestlemania 6. I did not hate Warrior, but I did not think he could stand up to the bad guys like Hulk. I felt vindicated when Warrior lost the belt to Sgt.Slaughter at the Rumble.
  22. I like Tony, he was generally likable. He made boring matches easier to watch to and did not get in the way of good matches. That is about all you can ask of a wrestling announcer.
  23. I have no doubt he would. I just don't think he would it in the perfect ProWrestlingNewz.com sound bite.
  24. Orton let Mark Henry kick his ass for months, worked even with Cody Rhodes and lost to Barrett. I think he will have no problem getting his ass kicked by Brock.
  25. I don't even think the former writer exist.
