I don't see how WWE has any claim, NC State was doing the Wolfpack gesture years before WCW was, and WWE wasn't even concerned enough to file a trademark on it until 2015 which was after the Young Bucks started using it. This is pretty much just WWE doing what Vince said he does in the promo with Owens, threatening people who have less money than them with a long drawn out court case. See also them claiming that complying with subpoenas would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars in the CM Punk case and the one with Bray's ex wife.

They're still the highest rated show on USA so worst case they'd probably get the same money they do now. What would really fuck them is if another show hits big on USA and Raw isn't the top draw anymore.

Wrestlemania will always sell enough to look full on TV, it's a destination event for people around the world now.

I *think* he was a babyface in WCW during that period where they were trying to find a gimmick that wouldn't get them sued (The Guardian Angel, The Boss, etc).
-
The New Day got over because they took a shit gimmick and used their charisma and personalities to make it work. It was like a modern day Dusty and the polka dots. To think that it was some plan to out smart the smart fans again seems to be giving the creative team way more credit than all available evidence would suggest they deserve. The Occam's Razor option here seems to be that they really think this is the way to build a babyface, based on the way they've completely kneecapped every other babyface by booking them as the same dorky loser.

Miz has improved, but I think all the talk about him being great in the ring seems excessive. He's absolutely top tier in promos (which is what's more important in WWE anyway), but his wrestling to me has gone from awful to either decent or "perfectly acceptable professional wrestling" depending on who he's matched with. Seems like a guy is either the shits or the GOAT with no room in between these days.

I don't even get what the end game could be. Are they going to reveal it was part of Jason's evil plan to trick everyone? No one is buying it. Are they going to keep up the pretense that he's his son? That's dying a death currently. So their only options are to keep fucking that chicken or make him a heel with the worst "dastardly plan" ever.

Meanwhile, they've quietly been filling in the gaps for 1986 WCCW and one from 1987 just popped up.

Thinking this is some kind of "Rocky treatment on purpose" comes off as smarter people than the writers trying to justify the horrible booking JJ's got so far. Plus it's not something you could ever redo if you wanted to, since it only worked back then because it was done to the guy who had more charisma than anyone before or since in the history of the business.

LOLOLOL they are really going to waste the return of the Shield on the fucking Miztorage.

If you're still watching then he's still winning. I've been watching long before him, and will be watching long after when he's either off making movies or the subject of a "The Destruction of Roman Reigns" WWE Network special. I mean, I'm not one of those types who's going to say they're going to quit watching WWE over someone's push or lack thereof. I'm just saying it's getting old watching them continuing to slam their dicks in the door trying to make something happen the audience by and large clearly don't want in the position they are placing him at. Yes, girls like him and probably by a lot of his merch, but he's clearly not the numbers mover Cena is even in this stage of his career. Hell, I'm not expecting Vince to listen to me, I'm just some asshole on a message board. I'm just wondering how happy he is with his TV tapings starting to look TNA-ish with everything not facing the hard cam getting tarped off.
-
Multiple endorsements of Roman by other top guys being met with loud booing just makes WWE look increasingly sad and desperate. Vince vs his own audience is the one feud Im really tired of at this point.

You can make the case that the Hogan turn was the culmination of the longtime feud. All those years of his distrust verified in one moment. Everyone always says the "what side is he on" line was a botch, but of course Bobby Heenan the longtime foil of Hulkamania would be distrustful of him. The fact that he ended up being right (finally) was 15+ years of heel work being validated.

I think Dalton is hurt, back injury or something. It came up when they took the six man titles off him and the Boys.
-
A lot of stories seem to be leaking out because of this that seem to indicate Gabe's a shit person to work for.
-
Lineup for the collection is better than I expected, some people seem surprised with the lack of WCW stuff but I'd bet Bobby would have preferred everyone forget that part of his career anyway.
-
It seems pretty clear from what's already been made public that WWN overstated their audience to FloSlam and entered their agreement under false pretenses. You can make a claim that Flo should have done more due diligence but I don't think "they should have known wrestling is filled with carny ass carnies" is going to fly in court as a defense.

The company behind several indy groups facing a million dollar lawsuit seems like it would be a big story no matter the slowness of a given news day.
-
They are probably going to a Collection Playlist of Bobby's WWF stuff instead since they done it for people that have passed away this year. I know, I just hope it isn't a bunch of Prime Time skits and weasel suit matches against the Warrior.
-
It's hard to determine what actually pops a number (besides Mania) since they keep the numbers close to the vest.
-
The lying about numbers is one thing, but why would they be shocked that Gabe would be sharing info with WWE when it's been clear they've been BFFs for a while now.
-
I don't mean this to sound morbid but I was hoping they'd upload a bunch of AWA stuff in memory of Bobby Heenan. It goes against WWE Canon that his best work was not in the company, but they only seem to add AWA stuff if it features a WWF guy anyway.
-
It really sucks that Bobby got caught in the crossfire of two companies acting like children.
-
It's making the rounds now that the interview he was doing recently included to him finally admitting to his alcoholism and this experience being the one to finally force him to face the truth. There's probably a million things one could say, but hopefully this was the slap in the face he needed to finally realize his demons and face them head on.

Ive never really got why fans harp on about Ross/Lawler being the greatest ever announce team because for me the best always has been Bobby/Gorilla. A gaming podcast I listen to calls it the "first fuck syndrome". In their context, the first game most people play in a particular genre tends to be their most favorite one of all time. They never had anything to compare it to and everything blew them away. The same thing applies here. Fans who came of age in the Attitude Era or slightly before will think Ross/Lawler is the greatest ever because it was the first one they heard. Not that they weren't great, but there's always going to be that certain aspect of adulation for one's "first time".
