  1. Great match. Nothing mind blowing, but this is presumably the first of multiple encounters in the next year or so between them, so things will only get more epic. That said, I really liked this match. I thought it had a good flow with nothing wasted. The closing stretch was well done and the crowd was fully invested. No tricks, just an old fashioned "scientific match" with a clean as a sheet finish. The bump at the end was nasty and could've been disastrous. Instead, it added a dose of "real" to the match, the unplanned kind, and fortunately for everyone involved served to make things feel more epic and not tragic. Excited to see what these guys will do against each other in the future. ***1/2
  2. I think they're just playing on the rumours out there and wouldn't read too much into it.
  3. I have no opinion of the E and C show because I only caught a tiny bit of it, but I have to say I'm totally fine with Network belt-tightening in regards to original content as long as it means more uploads of cost-free old school footage
  4. Are we sure this is from Jan 1, 1980? Hogan was working for WWF at that time and actually wrestled a TV taping in Allentown on that date. I think this may actually be from late 1981
  5. Party like it's 1999!

  9. Great Khali saves Battleground!!! Hahahaha
  10. Randy Orton reinventing himself as the King of gimmick matches nobody wants to see
  11. Right, commentary is in Hindu. Never mind

  14. Ok, we get it. Now stop bitching about it please
  15. Great tag!
  16. Going into this one pretty cold. I haven't seen anything from Smackdown since the women's MITB rematch, whenever that was. Looking at the card it should be a good show, with a few possible standout matches. Tye Dillinger vs. Aiden English (pre-show) Jinder Mahal vs. Randy Orton Punjabi Prison match The Usos vs. The New Day John Cena vs. Rusev Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch vs. Natalya vs. Tamina vs. Lana Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Baron Corbin AJ Styles vs. Kevin Owens Sami Zayn vs. Mike Kanellis

    Vancouver show was a blast
  18. I think the first episode of World Class was in 1981
  19. Thanks for the recommendation. Lately I've been listening to the interviews Bruno did with Meltzer and Alvarez from 2009 and they're pretty interesting. Although, between those, the recent Jericho interview and the JBL interview, there are a ton of repeat stories told almost identically. One aspect I've been wanting to hear him cover more is how involved he was in booking his feuds over the years and just general discussion about putting together matches and programs. I know the story is amazing, but we've all heard the WW II saga a million times. More insight into his time as a star in the 60s and 70s would be great

Yeah, that's a good point. A lot of beloved stars gone in less than a year. Hopefully the current crew can grow on the fans in the next few months
  21. Watched 1/11/86 Boston last night and it is a really good show by the standards of the day in WWF. Santana vs Savage and Bruno/Orndorff vs Piper/Orton are both great and Funk vs Morales is pretty good

Crowds have been pretty dead for months now, which sucks considering the product has been very good over that period
