  1. If they owned it they could get TNA over with their audience if they wanted to. Probably fairly easily
  2. For me, after surviving Ali vs Inoki I fear no match That was my Battle of the Somme
  3. I do like the symmetry of Bob vs Hussein Arab being a match we reviewed on the first Titans with all four of us together (#2) and Bob vs Iron Sheik being on possibly the last...
  4. Royal Rumble is in San Antonio in a building that holds 60,000+....
  5. It odd, it's like we always end up back at Virgil and we don't plan it! He's our unofficial LFK mascot. It's funny, I can tell the Virgil drops aren't intentional yet somehow, everything ties back to Virgil. Six degrees of separation: Virgil. Every topic. Ever. EDIT: WWF Magazine request: I apologize because I sold all of my issues so I can't give you the exact month, but there's an issue in the Fall of 1991 that goes extremely in-depth reviewing a Virgil vs. Kato match. I swear to god this thing was at least 3 or 4 pages. Maybe another listener can help pinpoint it? Just giving the public what it wants, Virgil 24-7-365 baby
  6. Shawn looks like George Hamilton
  7. Joe's been great in NXT. He can still go with the best of them
  8. I think most admit that it was an accident that could've happened to anyone regardless of experience level
  9. I think they are actually going with an old school 5 teams against 5 teams match
  10. Ed Whalen was far, far from the worst commentator ever and was actually really great in his interactions with the heels, and the Stampede TV show was usually entertaining, in spite of the clipped matches. Of course I'm a biased former Calgarian, but give it a chance, you may he surprised
  11. I've found the best way to appreciate Tiger Mask is to watch a bunch of slow-paced 1982 WWF before he arrives on the scene for a few matches. He wakes you up like a punch in the face
  12. He means the guy who made the video not the late great Baron himself As far as Titans Errata goes, for now the WWF MSG and WWF Spectrum playlists on the Titans TV youtube channel provide a ton of extra content, including of course the ladies and little fellas
  13. Yes, they weren't exclusive to WWF until Vince made a deal with Moolah sometime in 84, perhaps even 83
  14. The women have always been part of cards at MSG and Philly but that hateful misogynist Crazy James didn't put a single one of their matches on the set. He was similarly discriminatory with the midgets. I've long meant to rectify the situation, because Titans leaves no stone unturned. Look out for women and midgets to turn up in 1983, that is my pledge!
  15. I know nothing about him, but when I first saw the name a few years ago my first thought was that he was a fan of the Mr Fuji and Don Muraco team of the 80s and it was a tribute to them
  16. It was great. I wish they could've covered the Larry feud but oh well
  17. Also, not sure how much truth there is to his claim that the original plan was for Hogan to defeat Backlund but Bob refused to drop it to that "stiff"
  18. Taking a quick glance, it contains a lot of info found in Sex, Lies and Headlocks from 2002, plus I'm guessing a lot from Meltzer over the years

    NXT talk

How about the recently debuted Nikki Cross as a potential threat to Asuka? I don't know anything about her personally, but it seems like she has a great rep and she looked badass on the last NXT
  20. How progressive
  21. We also watched Jimmy Snuka/Buddy Rogers vs Lou Albano/Ray Stevens from 11/25/82 Philly for this show, and this is a match to definitely check out. Not only because it displays how crazy OVER Snuka was at this poiint, but for super rare footage of the original Nature Boy in the ring nearly twenty years after his full time career ended in 1963 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0nCT_1T97E&index=14&list=WL
  22. The Nak-Joe pull apart brawl on the last show was super heated, not sure what you've been watching
  23. Thanks man! That's awesome. Yeah, I would love to know more about the history of Stampede running shows in Montana. It's a totally forgotten part of its history
  24. Do what you will
  25. I know Stampede wrestling isn't a lot of people's cup of tea, let alone talk about obscure ass 50s-70s Stampede wrestling, but if you can, please drop us some feedback and let us know what you think about the five parts so far (Titans 63, 64, 66, 68 and 69). Again, check out the beautiful footage from the Network in the playlist. I would love to hear thoughts on DK vs Mr. Wrestling from 1/19/79, Big Daddy Ritter, Ed Whalen and his interactions with the heels, etc.
