[2018-02-18-Stardom] Toni Storm vs Meiko Satomura
Tenese Sarwieh replied to donsem43's topic in February 2018
A great match that started with matwork that evolved with lots of back and forth action. This got me excited for the next whenever these two face off.- 1 reply

[2018-02-18-Stardom] Io Shirai vs Momo Watanabe
Tenese Sarwieh replied to Tenese Sarwieh's topic in February 2018
I meant 2/22/18. -
Very intense battle with Momo throwing every bomb she could but it wasn't enough to put her mentor Io down. Excellent stuff.

Was this the year of the initial Manhattan Center run? I recall those shows getting a lot of buzz and love at the time that they came out. Those were in 2014.

Just let the Hardys have creative control and it'll be great.

TNA during 2012 was a joy to watch week to week. Solid booking with compelling character work that had me thinking that this company has finally got their act together.
-
Nice looking forward to the rest.

I always loved Bobby Eaton’s punches. So soft but looked stiff. El Hijo del Santo stomps were just vicious and really made me believe that he hated whoever he was facing and actually wanted to killed them.

$700 for HHH? nah I'm good.

Ric Flair - 1985, 1989 Mitsuharu Misawa - 1997 Steve Austin - 2001 Keiji Mutoh - 2001 Kenta Kobashi - 2003 Samoa Joe - 2005 Mistico - 2006 Bryan Danielson - 2006,2013 Tomohiro Ishii - 2014 Those are some that pops in my mind.

Got no problems with HHH being on the team but why did they really have to do all the browbeating to Kurt your team captain to get there? He looks like a fool now

The whole deal with Hashimoto was mind boggling. Good money left on the table. If that isn’t a perfect example of a political hit then I don’t know what is. Would’ve been fun seeing Vader buzzing through guys in ECW especially something with Spike Dudley. I was at that Raw and my 11 year old self ate everything up. Now 29 I can’t believed I was so hooked on that hot mess. I always remember a guy down below me screaming “send out The Godfather, send out the hoes.” Great show guys. -
They had ok chemistry but most their matches had far too much overbooking in them.

So sad to hear.

[2000-04-09-Monterrey] El Hijo del Santo vs Blue Panther
Tenese Sarwieh replied to soup23's topic in April 2000
This was a thing of beauty. The match had a great flow to it with both Panther and Santo being so crisp, smooth, and clean with their mat work building to each fall. They also threw in some awesome limb work with Panther going after Santo’s shoulder. Didn’t mind the cheap finish cause Panther wasn’t gonna be fooled by no more roll ups. Great stuff. -
Great way to kick G1 with three excellent matches that had me on the edge of my seat. I especially loved the reactions with the commentary from the Naito/Ibushi match. It felt like fans just going crazy for every big spot. It took things up another level for me.
-
It was an ok show with a flat out of nowhere questionable finish in the main event. I have no problem with Joe losing but at least have Brock do two more F5’s to make Joe look stronger in defeat.

Flair's retirement did for me. After all the tragedies in 07 like the Benoit saga and other deaths I was feeling real low on wrestling. It was a breath of fresh air to have a feel good story during that time period. Small shout out for Jake Roberts HOF speech. I didn’t cry but it almost got me there.

Kushida’s current run is doing it for me right now. Everything he’s done so far from 15 til now has been clicking on all levels. -
The Patriot vs. Koko Ware 2/1/86 comes to mind for this. Glorious beatdown.
