I could be wrong but I'd welcome a change of approach, aew is the far better product and they need to try something

Contracts don't last forever though, and the ego of a Vince et al won't take kindly to losing out in major demographics, advertising slowing etc Considering how much they look to the past i could well believe them taking a look at the attitude era and thinking they should take another run at it

I was at this show though i dont remember much about it tbh

I would think that a lurch back to x-rated wwe is inevitable if they keep struggling and NXT is a testing ground for how much they can push it

The Thread Killer Talks Too Much: The Recaps
Dale Wolfe replied to The Thread Killer's topic in Pro Wrestling
Yeah there were two UK PPVs in 2002- Insurrection & Rebellion There is a big change in the talent from one to the next if you look at the cards - Rebellion was in October and a lot of people had been moved on If i remember right there was a lot of chaos at the hotel in Manchester after Rebellion as well but maybe that was a different show, they toured here so much back then -
He's Tom Zenk or maybe Paul Roma Nothing wrong with that but if he has delusions of grandeur maybe he should go Mexico or something

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4

I really do think bringing weight classes into wrestling could help so many of these weird situations that develop around supposed midgets or whatever -
I'd disagree that UFC does too many shows. If you look at the fight nights as their raw/dynamite and the numbered shows as the supercards then it makes a lot more sense. I think the smaller shows have been doing a good job of making possible stars lately- think Chimaev & Holland could have been breakouts recently if not for covid & Holland's brain fart in his last fight Not sure what that makes the contender series though- worldwide?

Takeover New Orleans was the death of NXT even if it didnt seem like it at the time necessarily. Two Meltzer 5*s and then as said upthread it just ends up repeating itself forever as a super-indy Funny that it ended up exposing HHH as a mark for Meltzer and ruined his chances of ever taking over really, even in the moment that seemed like a great achievement. -
Give dustin a king of the road redux vs moxley please

I would take the time to watch the last couple of months of Corbin's backstage stuff for WWE if you haven't already Their overlong tv shows can be really dull but he's been honestly great for at least 3 months now if not more
-
Man i would definitely watch Embry vs Omega

WWE TV 8/23-8/29 Will The Last One to Leave WWE Turn off the Lights?
Dale Wolfe replied to sek69's topic in WWE
Just get rid of raw its shit anyway -
If we were in the territory days the likes of Janela, Spears, Hager would have already moved on Its an interesting time really, i guess we get to find out how ruthless AEW are. If sentiment starts to get involved it might cause them some issues

So reading between the lines Sasha either picked up a knock or tested positive for the rona 8/9 days ago. The company's so insular that rather than just coming out and saying it, as UFC/AEW have done, they then misrepresent the show for another week, im guessing waiting for either a decent doctors result or a negative test? Neither would happen, everyone knows it Why not just have the replacement fight Belair, Belair wins, Becky comes out afterward? The booking is so fucking poor and backwards it beggars belief
-
Its a good point really, the only time he's ever been interesting as a character is when he's been downtrodden and moaning Never really thought about it that way
-
Sounds like she tested positive to me

People think its a good gimmick? On the odd time either have been on while I've watched its an instant fast-forward Apart from maybe that psychedelic John Cena flashback match

WWE TV 07/26 - 08/01 The Olympic Games are a wonderful event
Dale Wolfe replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
ONE Championship is undergoing a big push at the US Market, are trying to sign Stipe, and just had their ruleset approved in Colorado https://combatsportslaw.com/2021/07/22/one-championship-and-knees-to-grounded-opponents-coming-to-colorado/ Quite clear that they don't test in the same way as USADA rules if you take a close look at the Asian cards So that would be my bet -

Well that's pretty embarrassing isn't it If they let Keith Lee go it seems like maybe the worst waste of charisma I've saw in a while. I know he's not the standard WWE shape etc but he's definitely got "it," I think, but he must want to go. He sounds depressed -
Flair's legends deal ran out in May I believe?
