  1. Can't be any cases if you don't do any testing has been Trump/various GOP governors' talking points for a year and a half now.
  2. I don't at all disagree that he looks and moves like a real athlete. He just has a literal babyface and doesn't at all have that angry man who will try to break your neck aura that Taz had, imo. He's very very chill.
  3. Hard disagree about Hook looking like a guy who could fuck you up. He looks like a teenager. Maybe in a few years when his face starts to mature. He doesn't have that aura of fuck you up that Taz had despite being taller and in better shape. It might come as he matures and gets more experience, though. Certainly looks like he's going to have a high ceiling but I'm not buying him doing all the Taz no selling shit at all yet.
  4. Some more moves you start seeing in 1950-1953: An accidental RKO: https://photos.app.goo.gl/bEEwJ54mN4RiycMv8 An accidental Rock Bottom https://photos.app.goo.gl/m4xsJ6dGfz2ZSguA6 The wrap arm in ropes and kick the ropes spot https://photos.app.goo.gl/sQkiNAx6Be6igvoE9 https://photos.app.goo.gl/eDMkwUxAGADUHA997 Piledrivers https://photos.app.goo.gl/Tq2XwvYMxjaHvjiH6 https://photos.app.goo.gl/bJg718H1yu9STcgDA https://photos.app.goo.gl/gwkQVPaxT4nC56SYA https://photos.app.goo.gl/iAps4pMvBYKtKaJv5 https://photos.app.goo.gl/sFDZTNs8kJ4MfDxp8 https://photos.app.goo.gl/eR4NuCsuLPwig6Bs9 The Backdrop https://photos.app.goo.gl/XqvabyDek5EKFABP7 https://photos.app.goo.gl/MTGAxpPzRVE7ohJF8 https://photos.app.goo.gl/iuSvgH45VjP5xG2N9 Mounted corner punches https://photos.app.goo.gl/CtdZhAF3KqQTcxfX9 Powerbombs https://photos.app.goo.gl/kcK7f1dNA85zzzAx9 https://photos.app.goo.gl/JCsaXWgwcwHNB8Yq6 https://photos.app.goo.gl/6ubaQK8iQinhbSqMA https://photos.app.goo.gl/KCeGgNCYHsiAFWss6 https://photos.app.goo.gl/T61p2SA5zg6m1nLx8 The bulldog https://photos.app.goo.gl/uGkKytzRix1DFDXPA https://photos.app.goo.gl/VhkZrkbg1PxEFQRE6 https://photos.app.goo.gl/znBjQZ7hXUiHWUfZ9 You also start seeing the cobra clutch and torture rack, but one thing that REALLY stands out is EVERYONE had an absolutely brutal knee strike. Be it like a clinch knee strike or more like a knee lift, even the shittiest dudes had knee strikes that could easily be a finish today. Also Gorgeous George has the greatest headlock takeover of all time and Lou Thesz was a hell of a bumper. I would also say it's interesting how many falls end in hitting a finish or big move 3-5 times in a row.
  5. Lmao Ricki Starr out here doing ballet, Goldust spots, and Big E tier horny hips stuff in the 50s against a Nazi. At different points he appears to perform an oil check, at others he basically tea bags the dude before doing a backflip. Some of this would be pretty wild even today, let alone for sometime in the 50s.
  6. Oh man, I love Russ Davis. Quickly becoming one of my favorites of all time. Might even put him in my top three with Schiavone and Lance Russell.
  7. I'm baffled that a dude like Barone Leone was apparently a huge star. Dude is the shits. Would have been a comedy jobber in the 60s-80s.
  8. NWA Chicago > New York > Southwest >>> LA. The stuff from LA sucks, imo. Just do not enjoy their group of guys that don't seem to make it out of that area as much, like Mr. Moto or Freddie Blassie or Baron Michele Leone
  9. Yeah that works on a number of streaming services, including Spotify until recently.
  10. That seems awfully weird. Backlund just did the UWF thing in 1989, Sheik was in WCW.
  11. Heel Backlund forcing Hulk to grapple like Regal/Goldberg would have been pretty lol. I've never really understood the talk about fans not being into Backlund. Crowds seem exceptionally hot for him in damn near every match in all the major cites I've seen from the time he wins the title to dropping it to Sheik.
  12. I've literally never been banned here. I've posted on multiple boards under this same screen name for ages and even ran my own site for a while. It took like 2 fucking years to even get approved to post here. I said in my post that they looked great in the clips. How is it trolling to say it was clips and said both guys looked great in it?
  13. So do you want people to just not comment on clips or something
  14. Why do you have such an issue with people reacting positively to clips
  15. The match with Buddy Rogers in 1953 looks like it must have been a tremendous sprint. Both guys look incredible in the clips.
  16. Could no longer morally support KOR for signing with AEW, or AEW for signing KOR? Either way lolwut
  17. I'm not sure if I have a list of matches but Bob Orton Sr. I think might actually be better than Jr. Just a real mean and ornery mf in the ring. Everything he does has such snap and edge to it. Almost like Fritz Von Erich if Fritz was athletic and could do grappling and athletic spots. He's very fast and snappy, faster than Jr. in the ring. Also had an absolutely brutal powerbomb he was doing in the early 50s. I see a lot more of Sr. in Randy's work and mannerisms than Jr.
  18. If Gargano comes to AEW, I think he should get somehow even tighter jeans
  19. Sting the absolute king
  20. I think anyone should be able to put anyone if they can justify it to themselves, but I don't make the rules, just the gifs. The line of thinking of "the footage is probably the best footage of them" and therefore it isn't fair to judge on that makes no sense to me as that would disqualify a ton of 70s and 80s dudes. Ideally, I would think most people are going to vote based on a subject's best work by default, no?
  21. TUE vs The Elite will probably be pretty cool one day down the line when Kenny comes back
  22. Londos spinning slam go brrr
  23. Putting together a match means sometimes vastly different things in different eras, though. You can't hold talents from different eras to the same standards of how they put a match together. A match in the 20s/30s has a much different structure than the 50s, which is different from the 70s, which is different from the 80s, and so on and so on. Not to mention different areas and territories had different styles even before the territory system was really firmly established. Wrestling in Chicago was different from wrestling in New York City was different from wrestling in LA even in the 1930s-1950s.
  24. I think you can extrapolate from a few clips and minimal footage of a pro wrestler. You can definitely tell when a dude is complete dogshit from a handful of clips, I think you can tell when someone is a great talent just the same. People are going to be voting for guys that are clearly terrible but they like them for whatever reason
  25. If 3 full matches is the criteria, then I suppose an argument can't be made after all
