I'm picking up what you're putting down, Beast. Yes, Bret is completely within his right to tell Vince and co. "Fuck you, pay me!" as far as the Stampede footage goes. But, Bret also always tries to paint this picture of his fans meaning everything to him. Hell, he first made nice with Vince ten years ago to participate in the WWE produced Bret Hart DVD, to make sure it was the best possible product for the fans, instead of another Ultimate Warrior hatchet job. So, you'd think that Bret would try to work something out with them, so that the fans could enjoy this footage that probably 95% of the network subscribers have never seen and would thoroughly enjoy.

Cornette tells a great story in 1989 Timeline, where they drew a record low house in Greensboro because they ran it on a Wednesday night. When he asked Joe Pedicino why hell they did that, Joe told him that they had to save the weekend shows for the big towns like Philly. So, Jim showed him just what kind of houses they were drawing in Greensboro, even just the year before and Pedicino was flabbergasted.

He seemed to have run his course, and was pretty much a JTTS by Summer of 1996. He took part in the angle where Scorpio was holding open challenges for Loser Leaves ECW Matches at November 2 Remember 1996 and dropped a fall (along with another ECW Mainstay JT Smith). He did a small comeback in 1997 to team with Balls and Axl against the Dudleys and that was pretty much it for him.

Very sad news, I was always a big fan of the Shah. I remember watching him when I was twelve years old. When ECW was on the Empire Sports Network. I can't beleive that he wasn't even ten years older than me.

I'm so sorry, CFCW. Good luck in your fight.

There's also OVW. I'm surprised there hasn't been somewhat of a push for that considering that Cena, Batista, Brock and Orton were there in the early 00s. Sooner and later they will probably buy Memphis and WWC. I'm not sure what would they do with the latter, though. I thought they'd already bought WWC, part of why they put Carlos in the HOF.

I've been doing my duty and watching all the territory stuff on WWE Network, to keep the goodness coming. I was watching the AWA episode with the Rockers/Badd Company title change from The Showboat. Someone (I'm guessing in a balcony, even though there wasn't one visible that I could tell) had a sign that said "FAG" and it was hanging down and swinging all over the place.

I assume you're also timmy8271b on youtube? BTW, mikecampbell411 on the twitter machine.

Wasn't Embry also the booker?

They fixed the error with that one episode of World Championship Wrestling being listed in the wrong year.

As down as I am with all this classic footage. I'm bothered by the notion that USWA is being categorized as "Global Wrestling Federation"

I'm recalling a promo from Col. DeBeers in the AWA about Scott Hall being on steroids and demanding that he be drug tested.

Is there any truth to what's been going around twitter, with Mick's son joining the creative team?

I wish they'd correct their mistake and list that one episode of WCW correctly!

I get this on my Roku TV all the time. Just log in to your account on their website and add the episodes you want to watch to your watchlist.

If this ever happens, and footage of it actually exists: The Heyman promo about Lawler being the big man in town explaining why Tennessee has so many lesbians is a must!

I think Sek nailed it. Someone saw the popularity of NWA Classics, and realized there's a viable market for classic wrestling. I'm hoping to see Memphis and Florida go up next!

The Tony/David/Tommy Young/Ric Flair segment from the 12/7/85 episode is amazing. Tony and David interview Tommy about the finish of the Starrcade title match, and David sounds like a lawyer doing a cross examination, trying to plead his case for Dusty to be the new champion. Flair comes out and completely rips David apart.
-
At least some of them are right, because one of the 1985 ones features the buildup to Starcade '85, with Bob Geigel decreeing that Tully doesn't have to give Magnum a title shot at Starcade. But, then Jimmy Crockett finds a loophole to make the match.

When Vince McMahon "fired" Eric Bischoff as RAW GM in 2003, and spent the whole show promising that he'd name a new one at the end of the night. Right before the end, JR tells Vince that Austin is set for No Way Out, and Vince announced the new GM of RAW. . . . Eric Bischoff! I wasn't even excited the prospect of Austin's return. I was just dumbstruck that they'd basically wasted the whole two hours and did a bait and switch on the payoff. I was in my second year of college and felt like I'd just wasted two hours of my life. I kept up with the goings on, by reading results and stuff, but, it wasn't until the next year that I'd started watching again.

This makes the most sense to me.

I was thinking the Dudleys because they'd fit in with the Brothers of Destruction as far as being longtime veterans. And, there was that brief period, before Rowan got injured, when Harper and Rowan were using the 3D and Bubba commented that he wanted to Dudleys vs Harper/Rowan.

Things A Smart Wrestler Should Never Do...

Isn't it obvious it has to involve the Undertaker? What with how HIAC ended? I'm sorry, I should have been more specific. Who else is there to team with Taker and Kane against the Wyatt Family?
