Not sure if it's still out there, but Sasha/Charlotte from Mania weekend was on YouTube for a while. The match is still on YouTube but I wish there was a better fan cam of that. Also check out the fan cams of the 4 way between horsewomen from Philly and the Sasha/Charlotte from Albany. I'm happy this thread was put together cause Joshi and Lucha have been my blindspots for years and I've made it a point to myself to watch more. I've done it with Lucha but current Joshi I've been lacking on.

If you take out the Kane and Rollins stuff, this was a decent Raw episode. New Day standing tall at the end was something different but they need it plus I loved how they dragged Ziggler when they came out. Very surprised that they are protecting Sasha on TV and in her hometown. She came off as a star last night (even though her and Naomi doing the "Lying" meme was cringeworthy but I love them the same). Was AJ Lee this over with the big city crowds like Sasha was last night? I was not watching the WWE when AJ was featured on the TV so I don't know but I don't remember a woman being this over with the fans without purposely being eye candy?

NXT 24 was their best documentary on an event since they did the Mania of Wrestlemania about Wrestlemania 19. They spotlighted all four main eventers that night and everyone came off looking like stars but personable at the same. I agree with WingedEagle, this is best output of programming since they've launched the Network. They can get rid of the Jerry Springer stuff and the adult cartoons.

According to this article, her breast removal surgery was a success. http://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/hl?a=20150924-00000097-dal-ent

Sad news indeed. Its weird timing because I've been doing a personal project watching Hokuto's career and this hit me out of the blue this morning. Prayers for her.

Didn't think the Table 3 with the ladies was that bad but wasn't that good either. It was just there. Now I left the Network on after that and now the live stream is showing with the Monday Night War docs with new Bischoff footage and he goes on the record saying that he didn't raid ECW of Eddie, Dean (and Benoit) and said that indeed Masa Saito made the deal with them and WCW. Interesting stuff cause I remember this tidbit from Between The Sheets.

The Legends with JBL show was really good. It felt like I was watching something that wasn't supposed to come out from WWE cause it wasn't over produced or edited to hell for certain stuff. I'm interested in Part 2 and his convos with other guys. I know Ron Simmons is in one so maybe he get candid about the issues he had when he left WCW and other stuff.

Who do you think should/will win the Royal Rumble this year?
jushin muta liger replied to ezgo's topic in WWE
Like Loss said Reigns should win the Rumble in 2016 but honestly he should be on the hunt to the title and feuding with Rollins. I still feel he will win it but you can throw the odd ball pick in having Kevin Owens winning it. That would elevate him back in into the upper mid card and you don't have to give him the shot at Mania. He could be like Austin in 97 when he won through cheating so he can feud with Reigns or Cena again.- 73 replies

I fell asleep at the start of the show as I was following the ROH show as well but woke up and found out it was YouTube as well so I was able to stream to my Roku which looked awesome. I really liked the main event better compared to last years main event but that was because I have not followed Lucha that closely and didn't know the backstory with UG and Atlantis. Both guys tonight put on a great performance and Sombra to be only 25 is amazing. Just reading his body language after the match, he wasn't scared and looks likes gonna be the same Sombra but just without the mask. I think the future is bright for him and if he stays rudo with Rush, they are gonna be money for CMLL down the line as Ingobernables being their new Perros Del Mal. You only wonder which is gonna be lost first, Atlantis mask or Rush's hair.

Kris, you've been on fire lately with these Between the Sheets shows. I've been really enjoying them cause it's like history lessons for me especially since I watched stuff in the 90s but I was too young for the dirtsheets at the time. I was rolling when you mentioned Harold Howard's manager having the Butch Lewis look cause I knew immediately what that was. I'm gonna check out Sean's book to compare to Snowden's Total MMA book and will no doubt check out the Terry Funk brawl with Sabu.

He was talking about Kevin Owens coming out during the bad Ryback promo.

I've thought about this and I don't believe they would do that just cause of the fact they didn't care when she had in the first place on the main roster. I think this is going to be Sasha's swan song from NXT. They have the match, they embrace, she leaves and then they debut Nia Jax to destroy Bayley like Owens did to Sami Zayn. It sets up her next challenger England with two similar storylines for your double main events: Samoan monster vs fan favorite baby face.

Probably taking the temperature on Kurt. I think what would be best for Kurt would be to come back to NXT as a trainer/part-time performer. He'd get his competitive jollies taken care of, but he can help train newer guys and gals. Not just on wrestling, but I'd hope they'd position him as a cautionary tale of health drinking, injuries, etc. That isn't the only jollies Kurt Angle would have to get satisfied. Kurt wants his place among the top stars of professional wrestling. That isn't getting it done in NXT. Not that it is a bad idea. It is a great idea but would Kurt take it? Doubtful.I feel the same way. I keep reading that being an NXT trainer/worker would be perfect for Angle but do you really think Kurt Angle, who is a mad man when it comes to the ring, would take a back seat and not be on Raw? He's relentless and I can't see him taking that deal. He can't even pass a physical.

YES! That spot made the match for me jump from good to kickass.
-
Compared to other promotions across the nation, the AWA didn't really bank on ethnic draws. You can say part of it was the location cause they didn't have to but when they went national, a lot of different demos watched them. So who knows.
-
The final death knell of lucha? Because of how spot heavy it was?
-
They were also all friends who thought of themselves as a unit. But they were booked constantly in WCW against each other when they started.
-
I mean, he doesn't have wrong point there historically cause Benoit, Malenko and Eddie debuted in WCW at the same time in 95 and were basically the New Japan Juniors crew who worked their own style of matches which dates back to 93 when they started working each other. Jericho worked with Benoit in 95 so he kinda got lumped in with those guys by the time he debuted in WCW in 96. This makes me wanna go back and look how those guys were booked cause WCW brought them in as their base for the new cruiseweight division and see if Eddie and Dean got lost in the booking like the NXT women cause I know Benoit got pushed to being a horseman very quickly.

What are the hallmarks of Vince McMahon's booking style?
jushin muta liger replied to JerryvonKramer's topic in Pro Wrestling
But he didn't pattern the top baby face on top for a long time against a rogues gallery of heels thing from his father? I feel like he picked up a lot a things along the way that were not his original hallmarks but twisted it enough to be his creativity at work. -

jushin muta liger replied to JerryvonKramer's topic in Pro Wrestling
I think both are I feel cause Vince has final say on everything. Benoit and Angle in 2002 and Rock and Jericho in 2001 comes to mind after Russo. EDIT: How can I forget Daniel Bryan and Kane. They were not top guys at the moment but they didn't get along and they funny skits about it until they became a legit team. -

Putting the tag team titles on the two main eventers that were feuding. Did it over and over in the attitude era. Used it for the Cena vs Michaels match at Mania 23. There are others times that I probably over looked but that's a Vince hallmark. -
I'll take excuses for 500. Meltzer is too smart for him to be that ignorant about that word.
-
From what Meltzer said, this only gives more truth to the story that Teddy Long said about Flair calling him the n word since Meltzer and Flair are buddies. If it is truly part of the wrestling business, then a lot of black wrestlers are going to have to explain themselves on how this keeps going. There's been guys like Bad News Allen who didn't tolerate stuff like that but there's a lot who did which is a damn shame.

Observer HOF prediction/ballot question thread
jushin muta liger replied to dkookypunk43's topic in Megathread archive
It's been said before about the Japanese bias in terms of in ring work and reputation but Japan has always been second in the world in terms of wrestlers getting work, getting paid well and making a name for themselves. So you're gonna have guys from that region who don't deserve to be in but because of exposure, they will get the benefit of the doubt.
