Matt D
8-10 sounds like a pretty good number for me too. "watch" is a relative term, mind you.

Hollinger.
Hollinger at 20 hours a week sounds like a good barometer that i don't meet. I'm honestly at around 8-10 hours a week probably. Some weeks more, some weeks less of course. Thinking more about it, it's probably about 15-20 on a given week. Monday through Friday 30-60 minutes in the gym in the morning before work. Usually another 1-2 hours while doing cardio between after work & before bed. Each of those probably gets missed once a week. Plus RAW, NXT, and occasionally FFing through Smackdown & Impact. Weekends, I'm either at shows, or I'm watching something for at least a couple hours. Plus WWE PPVs. Jesus, that's a lot.
soup23
Yeah my breakdown went: 1.5 hours - dvr Raw 1 hour - Smackdown/Main Event run through usually while eating breakfast 3-6 hours - watching show for the podcast, titans or wrestling, yearbook watching 2-4 hours - random watching (youtube matches at lunch, weekly lucha Tuesday, Portland that MattD pimps, etc)
jdw
jdw, do you have plans to start watching wrestling regularly again? If so, when and what? "Eventually..." Which isn't really a plan with anything concrete. I'm still buying dvd's for a pair of lengthy viewing & write up projects, and still organizing and eyeballing more to get. But that's about as much as I'm doing on the watching front. My college football was 9 AM - 10:30 PM on Saturday, add in 6+ hours of Sunday NFL (and I was being lazy there), 3+ hours of Monday Night Football (was lazy there when I should have grabbed the Eagles game), and 3+ hours of NFL tonight. That's 13.5 hours of college football and 12+ hours of the NFL. That's not even getting into 6+ hours of international futbol games I watched... well... probably more than that since the stuff taped on last Friday didn't get watched until the weekend and Monday. I've probably watched 40+ hours of sports from Sat-Thur (including tonight), and that's not getting into stupid stuff like watching post-game analysis on ESPN, the NFL Network, etc. Not a lot of fast forward there either. Futbol season is August-May, with the World Cup coming up this summer. The NBA is Oct-June. College hoops is Nov-April. NFL and College Football are Sep-Jan. Then there's the non-sports TV that I like watching. A "for example": I have the entire season of Top Chef Masters on the dvr waiting for a weekend or multi-night binge viewing... and the new season of regular Top Chef is about to start. Something has to give there. I've just finished re-watching all of the original Prime Suspect series, re-watched the original House of Cards and have hit the first two episodes of To Play The King... season one of The Wire was a re-watch a month or so back... there's the whole second season of Copper on the DVR... Too much other shit, with watching wrestling probably ranking somewhere between #25 and #50 among "things I'd like to invest time in watching". Basically I'd need to dump a sport. Since I like talking the NFL with my girlfriend, and watching college football with Lacy is one of the most fun things I do all year, that's out. I love futbol. Would have to be the NBA and/or college hoops, which in the case of college hoops is largely just Duke... which is just 4 hours a week of viewing (i.e. a pot to piss in out of my viewing habits). Yep, it's a problem. Basically I need to hit the lotto and retire.
Exposer
My weekly schedule is tentatively: 3 hours - Watching RAW Live 1-2 hours - Watching Pimped Main Event, NXT, Smackdown stuff 1-2 hours - Current wrestling outside of WWE including Lucha, Japan, US/Europe Indies 2-3 hours (Every two weeks or so) - Watching random old footage/Sometimes this is me watching 2000-2009 WWE for my project that I've been working on for three fucking years because I'm lazy. 3 hours - This is for WWE PPV's once a month. 3-4 hours - This is when I have an 80s set, watching footage for WWF 80s, or a wrestler's compilation set. This will start back up when I get the Lucha set.
ohtani's jacket
Who do you think watches the most wrestling per week on PWO? Is it Loss? Dylan? soup "the machine"? Kevin Ridge? PeteF3? Is it El-P or OJ? There are a lot of contenders. It's definitely not me. My wrestling watching has only picked up lately because I'm not involved in a movies or music poll. Phil Schneider is another guy who watches a lot of wrestling.
Dylan Waco
I multi-task a ton and rarely sleep so it's tough for me to gauge but I imagine if I really thought about I average on the low end two and a half hours a day and probably more realistically four and a half hours a day. I would guess my average week is around 25-30 hours, and it is rare that I watch less than fifteen hours in a week. This will sound like bullshit but it's not terribly uncommon for me to watch forty hours a week.
JerryvonKramer
I think Dylan is confidently #1 in the watching league. I don't know if he sleeps less than I do though. That's the only competition I have a serious stake in myself here.
BrickHithouse
Okay, how many hours are you guys sleeping per night? Does lack of sleep directly correlate to your wrestling addictions?
Dylan Waco
Even when I didn't watch near the amount of wrestling I watch now I was up late/out all night doing something. I would guess that during the school year I average about three to three and a half hours of sleep a day, but part of that is my thirty minute power nap in the afternoons

RyanClingman
At the moment I have a problem getting through the backlog of everything that I follow, whether it is wrestling, anime, manga or games. I have about 8 or 9 comps to get through, not to mention shows that have been sitting around for ages. What I normally do ( although this hasn't been in effect for a while due to exams), is I have a "leisure list", and on that list is a list of all the things that I "need" to get through in terms of the things that I follow. If I don't then I tend to panic, as I always want to make the most of free time. Then whenever I have free time I focus on tackling something on one of those lists. I also place comps on my phone and keeping them with me for easy watching on the go, which helps too. Like many I am too busy watching wrestling, reading about wrestling, listening to people talk about wrestling and writing about wrestling to watch as much wrestling as I would like . shoe
If I'm watching something that I find really interesting I'd say 15-20 hrs a week. If it is something that becomes a chore I can dip as low as 6 hrs a week. It usually corresponds when Will or Brick drop a comp I'm all over it . Some things just flow easier . I hardly watch any current product.

Childs
I'm probably at 10-12 hours a week, down from 15-20 pre-kid.

Busterira
From April thru November I probably avg less the 2 hours a week because of my job. I work a ton of hours and work 6-7 days a week. From Dec thru March when my work really slows down, it's probably around 10-15 hours a week. As for my collection, it's pretty bad. Even more evident with the fact I am moving in 2 weeks and have to move it all. I keep telling myself that every winter I will catalog everything and make a master list of everything like most other people. But I have yet to do that. I can tell you basically everything I have even thou its not written down anywhere.
BrickHithouse
The only time I seriously considered setting fire to every last disc and tape in the collection is when we moved.
Rock_Of_Jericho
Right now, I'm probably averaging about 4 hours per day...but at any moment, I will get burned out and not touch my wrestling DVDs for months...then I'll restart a mass amount of things again...and continue the cycle. Baseball season is distracting me, plus new tv season coming in the fall that I want to watch...a few video games I want to play...women I want to spend time with...there's just enough hours in the day... Matt D
With the baby, if I get a total of five hours, that's not bad. Collection-wise, I have the Dangerous Alliance comp, the AWA set, and a hell of a lot of youtube?

I would guess that during the school year I average about three to three and a half hours of sleep a day, but part of that is my thirty minute power nap in the afternoons Same, been like it since school although I can't do naps. Back when I was working in the city circa 09-12, I used to go to bed 4.30am and get up 7am every day. And usually one night a week I'd "crash". Now I have a job that doesn't actually require me to get up and out at a set time, I've got into a really strange pattern of just not sleeping until about 12pm and then getting up at 3 or 4pm -- sometimes I won't and just stay awake right through. I may have to stop this soon because it doesn't seem right and I constantly feel a bit weirded out. Also, when the new term starts I have 9am lectures on Tuesdays and Wednesdays that I'm pretty worried about because right now my instinct would be to go straight through and not sleep till after I'd done it -- that can't be right. Anyway, I probably average about 5-6 hours a week wrestling watching. I always plan to do more, but it never seems to pan out.
Log
Man, I don't get to watch shit. I pretty much keep up with current WWE on dvr, whatever 80's set I'm working on, and a smattering of stuff from dvds and youtube. I've seen Cars like 800 times in the last two weeks thanks to my little girl being absolutely obsessed with it.
Kevin Ridge
Hard to say how much I watch since I don't keep track. I can also go a few weeks without barely watching anything. But when I'm in the right mood I'll have huge marathons with little sleep. Thing is I don't watch current wrestling which is why there are definitely folks here who view a lot more than me. I've watched a total of 10 hours of wrestling from 2013 (Rumble, Chamber and WrestleMania which I was live in person). That last non WWE show I watched was the Japan joint card from 2011. So about all of my wrestling viewing is yearbooks and 80's sets that I am catching up on. Only recently did I start viewing online stuff for Ditch's Japan ballot. I do collect the major four WWE PPVs and the Best of Raw/Smackdown blu ray released end of year and that's most of my current WWE watching. Though I will pick up a show if it had a strong reception. Then I barely watch TV outside of soccer and movies so majority of the time my TV is on, it will be wrestling. I figure per week it is around 12-15 hours.
