Ric Flair and Scott Steiner receive awards from Pro Wrestling Illustrated. Scott Steiner is awesome standing there half-nude while the other three are in suits. Flair puts over the PWI award in a huge way. I miss these segments.

Flair declares the PWI Wrestler of the Year to be the greatest award in wrestling next to the World's Heavyweight title. That's how to put the mags (which account for free advertising for your given promotion) over.

Lame stream PWI being biased towards WCW! I demand a recount. Well I'm pretty sure Flair probably deserved his award. He does well by putting over the award as being just being the World Championship as was voted by the fans.

The wrestler of the year trophy is a nice piece of hardware and Flair does an effective job showing its prestige.

What a strange setup. Four men in what looks like a radio recording studio, three men in suits and one men in wrestling tights with a long mullet. Did Scott Steiner not own a suit, so they just put him out for this in his trunks? What an odd segment (which I keep saying about these 1990 interviews, but...seriously, they all seem really weird 22 years later).

Steiner says he'll cherish the award for a lifetime, wonder if he still has it.

 

Flair -- yet again in face "Minnesotta Flair" mode with his lower, subdued "serious" voice -- sincerely puts over how honoured he is to win the award.

Scott really looked out of place here. Not only was he the only one not wearing a suit, but he was fidgeting around like he was nervous and was prompted by Apter to thank the fans. Great work by Flair here to put the award over.

I actually liked Gordon the best here (Flair is no slouch but it's the same lines from him when he's won in the past) as he seemed truly touched.

I agree with Brad; Gordon was the star of this segment. You could tell Scott was still learning on the mic, and he never really improved that I saw. Flair was in humble mode, which is refreshing after seeing him scream his fool head off in most promos.

You would gave thought they would have at least made Scott puts some jeans and a t-shirt on for this. Flair and Gordon put PWI over huge. Segments like this always made wrestling seem more legit.

Baldy Apter presents the PWI Editor's Award to Gordon Solie, Most Improved Wrestler to Scott Steiner and Wrestler of the Decade to Ric Flair. Scott says he'll be cherishing his award for a lifetime, whilst Ric claims next to the World title, this is the most prestigious award in the sport. I swear I saw both of their noses growing.

Both suited-up, Flair and Solie are convincing in sounding honored to be getting a PWI award. Scott Steiner, dressed in his ring gear, says he will cherish the award for the rest of his life and he looks like he can't wait to get this segment over. I doubt he even still has his award.
