goodhelmet Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 Did RVD interrupt the Cesaro celebration?
Stiva Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 Man, I did not expect RVD to get that kind of reaction at this point, even in front of this crowd.
goodhelmet Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 Fuck, I know RVD appeared. I stepped out of the room. Can somebody kindly fucking recap what happened and what I missed?
anarchistxx Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 Loving the soccer chants. "Wade Barrett's Barmy Army" and "We love you Barrett we do". How could anyone hate this crowd? Â Wasn't really hot on Barrett but he could well be part of this new generation if he stays over, very solid in the ring and has a good look. Amazed Mysterio can still go at this point, have to admire him even if I'm in the corner of people that despise the 619. Very solid match, the wrestling on the show has been really good so far, every match has achieved what it set out to. Â Unlike Damien Sandow, he dropped like a stone, I never liked him and saId about a year ago when people were repping him that he was going nowhere. Terrible gimmick, too little natural charisma. Â Â Â Fuck, I know RVD appeared. I stepped out of the room. Can somebody kindly fucking recap what happened and what I missed? Â No. Cesaro celebration hasn't been on yet, RVD just beat Damien Sandow in a glorified squash. More of a showcase really.
Kevin Ridge Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 They aren't even trying to book against these fans tonight.
Jmare007 Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 Fuck, I know RVD appeared. I stepped out of the room. Can somebody kindly fucking recap what happened and what I missed? Â He wrestled Sandow and won with the frog splash.
anarchistxx Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 Can't believe they are booking an evil Russian gimmick in 2014 and expecting it to get over. Especially since for weeks he will just wrestle squash matches without any storyline or reason. Such lazy booking. Like the Damien Sandow 'blue blood' character, it is several decades out of date and won't get over. Truly awful submission move as well. Â Edit: 'USA' chant in the front row, maybe I was wrong about it being out of date...
Loss Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 Evil Russian in 2014 may be a lot of things, but it's not really outdated.
Loss Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 I saw you edited. Anyway, do you follow the news? An evil Russian is topical.
anarchistxx Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 Â Â Evil Russian in 2014 may be a lot of things, but it's not really outdated. Â It is the way WWE presents it. Not as if they are going to have him cut political promos about Crimean independence. It has 'Lord Tensai' written all over it. Plus this character was around/planned way before the recent Ukraine crisis.
PeteF3 Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 It didn't last, but Ryback got legitimately over by demolishing people in squashes. I don't get the problem with them.
Matt D Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 Barrett was having the time of his life out there. Poor Rey.
Grimmas Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 It didn't last, but Ryback got legitimately over by demolishing people in squashes. I don't get the problem with them. Umaga too.
goodhelmet Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 Fucking Euros... disrespecting a true legend like Rey... Oh Wait... Americans did it too at the Rumble.
anarchistxx Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 It didn't last, but Ryback got legitimately over by demolishing people in squashes. I don't get the problem with them. Â Ryback was a face booked as a new Goldberg. It worked for a while, but look at him now. Once you have no character and motivation the squash schtick gets old quickly. Â This is more like the Lord Tensai type deal. I just think it is a lazy, outdated way to book someone. Do people really have the patience for boring, methodical squash matches now? Lesnar worked because he was explosive and looked legitimately dangerous. Â Â Umaga too. Â Yeah, that is true I suppose. He was helped by having some white meat babyfaces like John Cena and Jeff Hardy to elevate him, maybe Daniel Bryan can do the same for Rysev. Maybe it's just me.
Jmare007 Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 Barrett was having the time of his life out there. Poor Rey. Â It has to be a rib on him at this point. They keep booking him in situations were smark crowds are gonna boo the fuck out of him.
NintendoLogic Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 You guys are aware that Bulgaria is a separate country from Russia, right?
Kevin Ridge Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 More lousy camera work as they are focusing on the announce team when Warrior was doing his ropes shaking thing. Oh, I wish he wore makeup but the mask helps!
Eduardo Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 Crowd cheers raging homophobe and racist but boos genuine Mexican-American/Chican@ legend in pro wrestling.
Stiva Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 I hope Warrior had one more massive rail of coke before this promo for old time's sake.
Matt D Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 This would be so much better if they sold the gimmick. I bet half the crowd would be wearing it.
dexstar Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 I was hoping that the Original Warrior was going to do a run in, concluding an epic two decade work.
Stiva Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 AJ co-opting all Punk's little vocal stylings is a neat touch.
