The Man in Blak
The only parts of it I don't like are that Lana has to tell Rusev to "crush!" before putting on The Accolade. Plus, Lana is the one that is going to get over, not the wrestler, and they'll probably split them up eventually, which will leave Rusev dead in the water as just another Vladimir Koslov. I like Rusev too, but for completely different reasons than you. I think the "evil foreign heel" act is embarrassingly awful and regressive, but Lana yelling "RUSEV...CRUSH!", fist clenched dramatically in the air, makes me laugh every single time. Rusev looked like his head was going to explode at that moment in the Big E match and it was great. They could skip the entire opening entrance/promo schtick and it would improve Rusev dramatically in my view, but that would forfeit the cheap political heat that they're so desperate to earn. cm funk
How many times can a wrestling fan watch the same Sheamus/Barrett match, regardless of how good it is, until they stop giving a fuck? Once shit is old & played out, it's old & played out. What differs is how long it takes individuals to get to their breaking point. In 2014, with Twitter, texts, DVR, etc. people have a lot shorter attention spans. You're ridiculous. They've had THREE matches this year. One on RAW in April, one on Smackdown in May, and the one the other night on RAW. And they weren't all the same match.
Strummer
Dave says that the company has no idea when Bryan will return. Bryan v Lesnar was planned for SS but that was assuming Bryan was working MITB. I think we are getting into "this is getting real fucking serious" territory. Maybe we already were edit: uh apparently Dave is also saying that this could all be an elaborate work (meaning the company working its own employees) and Bryan could be at the PPV to enter the ladder match
Strummer
also from WON. Vince is down on all the recent NXT call ups. Meaning Rose, Dallas and Paige. Kevin Dunn has buried Rose to Vince. Alicia Fox's recent push has been the baby of Dunn and it's set to continue
Coffey
Vince is down on all the recent NXT call ups. Meaning Rose, Dallas and Paige. Yeah, I can see that. When The Ascension get called up, he's going to be down on them too.
Strummer
I can't believe Kevin Dunn still has all this power. When Hunter and Steph take over you know his shit is going to end
KrisZ
Kevin Dunn is one of the main reasons why there is such a struggle within WWE backstage right now as Trips hates his guts and wants him gone, Dunn knows that and has Vince's ear so he uses his influence to get Vince to side with him. anarchistxx
It seems like there are so many guys with star potential that are just doing nothing right now. This. They have someone like Ziggler who is ridiculously, inexplicably over and they resolutely don't push him. They have somehow who clearly has obvious, natural charisma like Ryback and he is just put in throwaway tag matches every show until he means nothing. Even people like BNB and Cesaro who get really over are just curtailed by the endless stream of meaningless matches, turgid rematches and lack of any character developement or proper plot lines. They seem incabaple of building even remotely interesting feuds, especially down the card where they don't even make an effort to try anything with the booking, That they are resorting to Alberto del Rio, Randy Orton and Sheamus headlining a PPV when they have all this stacked talent is just criminal. Vince is down on all the recent NXT call ups. Meaning Rose, Dallas and Paige. Unsurprising with the way things have been handled. Dallas and Rose just come off as novelty characters, and are booked that way, as fairly silly gimmicks with a short shelf life. Paige has lost all her momentum after what was a fantastic debut. They could have really done something with an Alicia Fox vs Paige feud, but they have no patience and have no concept of building a match.

Loss
I still don't understand what exactly Adam Rose did to be deemed a failure. What type of immediate crowd reaction were they expecting?
Loss
I will also add that Vince always seems down on almost everyone. He's kind of grumpy.
El-P
He's a big Eastern European dude who can move well. Obviously after he loses, he turns face and develops a EuroTrash club hopper gimmick, complete with gigantic Alex Wright dance moves. I wanna see Lana do a Eurotrash club hopper gimmick with Alex Wright dance moves. I like Rusev too, but for completely different reasons than you. I think the "evil foreign heel" act is embarrassingly awful and regressive, but Lana yelling "RUSEV...CRUSH!", fist clenched dramatically in the air, makes me laugh every single time. This is so corny and dated, maybe that's why I find it amusing too. But yeah, they need to drop the political stuff.
KrisZ
Kevin Dunn doesn't like Adam Rose so that's why.....if the producer of the TV show doesn't like the talent and convinces the boss that the talent isn't good then what do you think is going to happen. Loss
I know this is grossly more exaggerated than what Dave reported, but my takeaway from Vince being down on every recent callup is that Dunn and HHH are in a political war that HHH is losing at the moment. KrisZ
But here is the deal though...it's a war that Dunn knows in the end he is going to lose so he is going hard in the paint right now while he can.
sek69
...and since NXT is Hunter's baby (and has been putting on better shows than the main roster as of late) I'm expecting everyone getting a call-up to get buried immediately.

sek69
Those must be interesting family dinners. That's funny, I remember Hunter as a talking head in one of their DVDs about having dinner with the family when he started dating Steph. He had a line to the effect of if you think meeting your girlfriend's parents is bad, imagine if her dad is Vince McMahon.
Timbo Slice
Shoutouts to Waka Flocka KrisZ. In all fairness, WWE has a lot of mid card talent at this point and they're looking for people to position at the top. Paige has floundered because she didn't know how to connect with the fans. Rose has failed due to Dunn, sure, but he's been doing the same shtick to a bigger audience that doesn't know how to treat him. Plus, he almost always speaks in catchphrases that aren't getting over. His work isn't worthwhile in the ring at this point, either. I've talked about how I've been souring on NXT for the last few months and it mainly has to do with the fact that there are a lot of characters getting pushed because they feel they need those as opposed to guys who can work while working on their presentation stuff. You're not gonna find much out of NXT if they don't know how to work longer matches considering guys like The Shield, Cesaro and Bryan are setting the pace right now. To give you the best idea possible of how Trips sees things going forward, the match he had with Bryan was much more the type of match Bryan would work as opposed to what HHH would work. He knows what can happen going forward.
sek69
Paige flounders because they book her to take a beating the whole match only to luck in to her finisher. If they pushed her as the bad ass chick they did in NXT she wouldn't be floundering nearly as much.
Matt D
Ding, ding on Paige. Her act in NXT was that she was a badass post-apocalyptic warrior. Now she's a shrinking violet. And they changed absolutely moronic things about Rose's act, like how they emphasize the fans singing the music instead of shouting the "hey"and timing his jump with it. I couldn't figure out why the hell they would possibly do that. But yeah, Dunn sabotage makes way more sense than anything I could come up with. It might explain why they didn't go with the 5 Count on Big E too.
Tim Evans
Dunn seems to be even sabotaging the Shield. How he didn't get fired after the cameras missed Reigns spear to Slater on Monday baffles me. That seems to be happening more and more this year. C.S.
Paige is miscast as a babyface, period. Right or wrong, when I was first exposed to her (vs. Emma on the first NXT Network "PPV"), I thought she was a heel.
sek69
She was, kind of. Her whole gimmick was being the "Anti-Diva" raging against the bleach blonde Barbie stereotype.
rovert
I can buy McMahon and Dunn not being into Paige as she isn't their type. Vince McMahon told Kaitlyn that Vince's ideal Diva as in what Kaitlyn should strive to be was Kelly Kelly. The Adam Rose on Superstars thing is a bit overplaying your hand on the he is being buried front. He had stitches in his head and the Minnesota Wrestling scene is rather tiny and not fully of potential Rosebuds. It is also too far away for the NXT Rosebuds to travel to.
