I thought it was funny and it did ended up with a serious beatdown to end the show. It's not like they are building to HIAC with only comedy segments. So far it's been a nice mix.

I think one thing that has been unnoticed is how little the product gets over analyzed when you don't have Punk or Bryan involved in big storylines. It's refreshing not to hear or read constant complaints about how Seth looks "too weak" every show because he always needs the help from the authority or how they are sabotaging Ambrose because they are pairing him up with Cena. Or having to look at quarterly ratings to see how well Rollins/Ambrose are doing and if the company have faith in them.

I don't know if it's because Seth/Dean don't have a fanbase as pessimistic as Bryan/Punk or because fans are beginning to trust more in the company when it comes to pushes for indy guys. Regardless, I hope this trend continues.

might also have something to due with the time of the year. Fall is usually a pattern holding period for the company. Mania season is where people get all analytical and stuff

Buy your pink WWE merch, brothers! Don't pay any attention to all the stats that mention how these usually only generate .0000001% of the proceeds toward actual research?

Is it any better than some viral social media fund and awareness raising drive?

Though yes the pink products is over the top, plus Komen has been under fire lately for apparantly not keeping with the liberal pro-choice agenda.

I wonder what Brie was doing during the commercial break after she entered the ring. Her theme was still playing when they came back.

2 of the Divas matches had the same intro formula. Diva #1 comes out, feuding Diva on the ramp, intros the opponent(s).

Triple H saying Miz had a "straight-to-DVD" career was a total pot/kettle/black.

Both Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have been on Raw (almost 5 years to the day of each other). Different roles, but who would have ever guessed. Wonder if Kofi, Xavier or Darren Young was in the bunny suit for the night.

In the animal wackiness, they should work Battle Kat or have Mantaur play Torito's dad in somehow.

They usually stop playing the theme, dim the lights and people watch in-house commercials on the Titantron for a bit. Then, they come back from commercial, replay the music and the person acts like they just walked into the ring. It's WWE production zaniness and it's awful live.

cageside with an article on a former writer calling into Meltz and basically confirming what we all knew: Creative team is writing for an audience of one.

He called Alvarez and Sempervive, who host Wrestling Observer Live on Sundays. Meltzer hasn't been on that show in years.

Personally, I thought all the comedy was cringeworthy and reminiscent of 2006 DX. I'm half-expecting them to come out with a "Seth Loves Cocks" t-shirt.

Couldn't agree more. Especially when the "beard" joke came from Triple H. Dean Ambrose making a joke like that is par for the course in today's WWE, but why is Triple H taking potshots at the guy who, I thought, was meant to be the Authority's prize talent at this point? Also, and I could be way wrong here, but at a time when WWE is actually in a bit of a hole in the whole "top level draws" department, don't you think it would be wise for them to actually keep the ONE heel not named Brock Lesnar who gets heat looking at least a little bit strong?

I'm not saying Seth Rollins needs to steamroll through people, but is it absurd to think he should be modeled a bit like classic heels of yesteryear who consistently got the upperhand through dirty tactics and were only made to look like fools when it was absolutely necessary (and often times got their heat back soon after)? I'm thinking DiBiase, Flair, Curt Hennig...hell, Triple H should know a fair bit about that sort of character considering how snuggly he wore that hat himself. Rollins is not going to intimidate people with his look or haircut, but if consistently "finds a way" to win, he comes off as a real threat to anyone.

Oh come on. Last year it was all about over analyzing every segment Bryan was in (booking and ratings wise) after Summerslam.

It's been nice to not have that kind of overreaction to everything with Rollins and Ambrose, I hope we never go back to the days of Punk's reign as champion or Bryan's weird ass push last year. But I find it interesting that only 1 year after people went full retard (myself included a couple of times) with D-Bry's rise, there's not near the panic with Seth/Dean.

I don't remember Punk's reign being analyzed show by show. Mostly people were complaining his matches weren't going on last.

Bryan was initially after being beat down numerous times after Summerslam. Hell in a Cell was when people seemed resigned to the fact he wasn't going to get pushed ( this is when I went "retarded" I guess). Overreaction yes but nothing compared to the Rumble and the build up to mania. And most people seemed more pissed over the finishes last fall. See the point though

While there are still detractors who won't make it easy sometimes, generally speaking, I think the more people keep getting called up that are HHH guys, the less you'll see undercutting. Bryan was probably the last guy we're going to see break through that HHH didn't make a pet project, although he did become one on the back end, and people do forget that Vince has always argued Bryan as a guy *he* made a star by tweaking him in a way that got over big. But still, according to a recent WON there was even talk of doing Rollins-Reigns at WM because it puts over HHH's Performance Center to have two of his guys in the title match.

Also, the bad reaction they got to the Rumble was widespread far beyond Internet fans and was quite justified. They showed themselves to be so incredibly out of touch that night, but thankfully they realized this and changed course quickly. Suddenly, Bryan was being talked about in serious terms by the announcers and Michael Cole started hyping that he *had* to avenge all of this wrongdoing at some point. On the RAW in Chicago, when HHH said "I am getting sick and tired of your crap!" and got kicked in the face, that's when I knew Bryan was winning at Mania. They don't give those extra comebacks to babyfaces they aren't building for something special.

I hadn't gone to a live Raw on years and went to one this year. That was the worst. I had to try to explain this to my friends who went with me because his GF is a Total Divas fan.

At the risk of crossing the "Pro Wrestling Only" line, the issue with Komen has nothing to do with liberal or conservative, it's more along how only a small percent of the sale of pink products actually go toward research, and they've gotten flack for partnering with companies whose products are known carcinogens. Plus a lot of the campaigns come off as companies (like WWE) pandering to women.

I'll cop to being too lazy to go do the Googling for you, but I assure you it's more than dirty librulz who have an issue with them.

This is an article that breaks down the charity and their finances.

In 2011 15% went to research. Not too bad, since they spend very little to administration and a lot goes to education.

It's not as horrible as you seem to imply.

It's more stuff like the pink NFL gear that sells bazillions and very little goes to the cause. If you donate directly to them it's not too bad, but every company pushing BUY THIS PINK STUFF TO SAVE BOOBS comes off as tacky after a while and it makes it look like the Komen people are whoring themselves.
