efrim
Breaking now on twitter: https://twitter.com/WWE/status/584106118399528960 Seems a long time coming considering her husband and her noticeable disinterest in multiple matches since her return. sek69
I can't imagine that it's been fun going to work for a while now, all things considered.

Seej
i'm guessing she's pregnant. But yeah, she has been mediocre since her return. I wonder if she'll give an official farewell on Raw?
dawho5
If I'm remembering correctly Charles picked up on this watching Mania.

Steenalized
Was never a fan that I can recall, but hope she's happy with whatever comes next.
WashingtonFB
I never understood why she was so polarizing. She got a lot of TV time but she was never a hateable or likable figure for me.
Zoo Enthusiast
I thought as a character she had some good moments a few years ago. As a wrestler, not much there.

Matt D
It's got to be at least somewhat telling that they let her win on the way out, right?
Coffey
I liked her before her RAW GM stint. Everything after that was meh to me. She had a good run.
fakeplastictrees
Glad she is gone. One of the most overrated Divas of the 5 years or so. Didn't like her geek-chic gimmick and HATED her CM Punk- lite gimmick. AJ went from a pedestrian worker who overall was non-offensive to one of the worse forced work-shoot gimmicks today. She will not be missed and I hope this is a permanent retirement from WWE.

KobASHi
Skip your way right out the door. Terrible, just irritating.
Grimmas
What a shame this thread is. She was completely fine and was definitely an upgrade over some of the main diva stars that were before her. This is a girl who's dream was to be a WWE Women's Champion and when she whens the title at the height of her popularity, she is ridiculed for caring too much by the company. They treat her husband like she and he quits, even though he LOVED wrestling too. I'm sure AJ did not have the best working environment after Punk left either. This situation just shows how shitty the WWE really is, sometimes.

El-P
What a shame this thread is. And quite frankly, I was thinking this is exactly why the Current WWE thread was perfectly fine. The board doesn't need a hundred treads like this one. Oh, anyway...

Your main gripe seems to be with WWE, which is much more fair. At least the thread didn't devolve into a bunch of rapey comments, on the bright side. Coffey
There for awhile, AJ also looked like she lost a ton of weight & was skinny to an unhealthy degree. I mean, she was always going to be thin, but she was too thin. It got to the point where I couldn't watch her in a match without thinking she was going to get hurt. I remember there being a big stink after she passed out overseas or something and people suggesting that maybe she had developed an eating disorder. I think that was just internet rumor stuff though. I did dig her for awhile. When she was playing the male wrestlers & going from C.M. Punk to Daniel Bryan to Kane and all that stuff with Vickie Guerrero leading up to the wedding. It was the random announcement that she was the new RAW G.M. where everything went south for me. Then she started doing the C.M. Punk light gimmick (as noted above) and it just felt forced. Honestly, I didn't dislike her when she was in a "stable" (if you can call it that) with Dolph Ziggler & Big E. Langston. I liked her as the crazy nerdy chick. I didn't like her as the main event dominate female "shooter", or whatever that was supposed to. Whether she retired or not, that wouldn't change. And she's been half-assing it in-ring for months. Zoo Enthusiast
I thought the Punk/Bryan/Kane stuff and the wedding was her best run. I think the Bryan kiss at Mania was a great moment, and part of the reason Sheamus got a nice pop when he won until fans realized they were actually outraged. Matt D
It's a shame that they won't get to run some sort of Tamina vs AJ program since Tamina's about to come back.
Stiva
For the most part, the series with Paige was bad but there was that one PPV match where they went out and threw bombs at each other for 5 minutes that was really fun.
WingedEagle
I hope she's very happy and healthy going forward. Would imagine the new addition to the family will take care of both, but you have to wonder about someone who seemed to have such a passion for her job dating back to childhood calling it quits at such a young age.
