ButchReedMark
Every single mention of him on the WWE website, including as a hall of famer has been taken off WWE.com, taken off Tough Enough, taken off everything completely. Apparently the National Enquirer has footage of him going on a massive racist rant which "He can't come back from" So yeah, he's done. And even more annoyingly I can't wear any of my several Hogan shirts again.
NotJayTabb
I heard he was gone from Tough Enough and just assumed it was due to his sex tape case, but if they've gone to this level to disassociate themselves from him, then he must have done something serious. Likewise, my "Hulkamania" t-shirt is going to have to be moved to the "sleeping t-shirts" pile. It feels a bit much to totally remove any mention of him from the site. Parting company with him on current projects makes sense, but it's not like removing him from their history will stop the world from associating "Hulk Hogan" with "WWE" - he's too ingrained in their history. LariatMMBOPPO
More importantly, Axelmania is apparently dead.
NotJayTabb
The good news is, that's hopefully the end of Macho Mandow

Funnily enough a lapsed fan was just asking me about it all on facebook and said "How can they Benoit Hogan? Hogan is wrestling? He's everywhere"
SomethingSavage
Macho Mandow is an act I can do without - but Axelmania is immortal, dude. Have him spin this and run with it. He could start cutting promos on Kanye, Cosby, and the other various "heels" of the more recent mainstream press. Have it start subtly and imply that he's just preaching the usual Hulk-A-Mania hero shtick... Until they slowly catch on that, yep. All these guys are black, and Axelmania just might be racist. Okay. They'd never go for it, but there's a carny promoter out there somewhere that would jump on it in a heartbeat.
Laz
How long until we get a Hulkamania shirt with the stars and bars on it? Maybe have it say "heritage not heat" on it?

Zoo Enthusiast
Hoping it's all just a big misunderstanding of an insane, coke-fueled promo outtake from the Zeus feud.
SteveJRogers
There has to be more to it than just a blantantly racist rant, right? I mean The Warrior was put into the Hall.

hammerva
Yeah there has to be more to this than just that rant from a couple years ago based on the legendary Booker T promo. I mean hell the segment on the pre show of Battleground with the New Day/Booker T/Byron Saxton was more offensive than some tragically white guy not knowing whether to put a 'GER' or 'GA' after the N word to rap stars Another rumor is that it may be related to the Gawker lawsuit and something came out of that
Matt D
Obviously ROH should bring Hogan and Piper in to declare war on NXT.

This means its something BIG to warrant the scrub that has been going on...

Would be hard to go full Benoit here (way too much Hogan specific content since he's been back) if that is the intent.
sporadic
So apparently this is what's got Hogan scrubbed: http://www.nationalenquirer.com/celebrity/hulk-hogan-racist-scandal-wrestling-caught-on-tape-saying-n-word-daughter-brooke-exclusive In a shocking world exclusive, The National ENQUIRER and RadarOnline.com – in a joint investigation – has learned that sordid pillow talk caught on an unauthorized sex tape includes a revolting conversation in which the pro wrestling icon unleashed a filthy bigoted attack, littered with the N-word and other disgusting racial insults. Just popped up on the WO's board there.
El Boricua
So when's WWE going to do something about their own institutional racism?
Laz
They'll brush it aside and just go "shucks, we're entertainment and playing characters," ignoring the actual issues beyond the camera. Like always.
hammerva
So when's WWE going to do something about their own institutional racism? Yeah it is funny all the people on my Twitter posting all the racist stuff the WWE has done in the last 30 years. So many Roddy Piper half black face pictures <_ . like the idea of hardcore racism in wwe is this shocking thing.>

In fact, I think the hasty decision to remove Hogan from everything is the same short-sighted, unsophisticated response I'd expect from them. But people can still be criticized for expected behavior. Loss
Anyway, my thoughts on this were a better fit for Twitter than here since there was the potential for crossover discussion that's bigger than wrestling. If you want to engage me on it, hit me up there @prowresonly.

I agree with you Loss, my initial question was a rhetorical one. In fact, the way they're going about cutting ties with Hogan might actually backfire a bit on them if someone where to do a little digging considering their history in "being committed to embracing and celebrating individuals from all backgrounds".
