At least 2 of these three are making my list, maybe all three. Bossman may make it into the illustrious 1-94 spot, which means he deserves to be there. I'll have to look at the full figures for Bossman, since you probably are under rating him.

ohtani's jacket
I will consider moving the V rating up, his score did seem too low. And since he's in danger of falling off, I want to do what I can to keep him on. As a benchmark, Jack Brisco has an I rating of 3 and is probably the most natural babyface I can think of. Do you see Grey on par with him for intangibles? I wouldn't see him getting above that, too bland really. It's only just occurred to me that the I-rating has a natural tendancy to be more generous to heels, but what can ya do? Heels are cooler than babyfaces. Well, at least we saved Grey, which is the most important thing, but I still think that intangibles rating is unfair. Grey is one of the most naturally likable wrestlers ever. He comes across as the ultimate do-gooder without being a complete turn off. How many babyfaces can you say that about? To me that takes as much x-factor as the most hated of heels because believe me, there were plenty of guys on WoS whose gimmick was essentially that they were a nice bloke and few of them had Grey's lasting appeal. And when he was pissed, he could fire up like the best of them. He was Tito Santana when it came to babyface outrage. That skill alone should give him a boost. Grey for president! These are listed under ability in your first post: + 1 ability to carry lesser opponents + 1 ability to adapt to opponent's style Have you ditched them since? Not sure if matters, or how you'd feel about it, but the British guys also toured far out places like Africa, India and the Middle East. Does that count as getting over in other territories? JerryvonKramer
The first post has been edited to reflect the scores I've actually given out. The whole system has been a work in progress. I wanted to say something about being British and the basic WoS babyface type being something I find really weird, but let's save it for another time. Phil Schneider
Have you done a Fujiwara rating yet?
JerryvonKramer
Not yet for Fujiwara. I don't know why I've held off on the Buddy Rose rating, but here goes. Buddy Rose Basic (offense, selling, psychology) 2/3 3/3 3/3 (+1 for rope running) = 9 Intangibles 7 Great matches 6 Length of Peak 1977-87 = 10 years = 6 +1 ability to work babyface +1 ability to work tags +1 ability to work gimmick matches +1 ability to work brawls +1 ability to work as ace / carry a promotion +2 ability to get over in multiple markets (PNW, WWF, Hawaii, San Francisco, AWA) Ability to work different styles / roles = 7 Variety = 9
joeg
Was wondering if you've done a BIGLAV for Art Barr. The guy may have been the best heel in the world for the last 2 years of his life. Eddie is a 37, so going by that where does Barr place seeing as how during their run he was the better of the two, yet his career was cut so short which would impact his G,L, and V. I'm having a hard time in general placing the guys who had short careers, ie Barr, Magnum, David Von Erich, Gino, etc
JerryvonKramer
Pretty tragic, but I do not believe that Garvin can be saved. To do list (not including possible Joshi workers): Akira Maeda Batista Doug Somers Dynamite Kid Gino Hernandez Haku Raymond Rougeau Rick Steiner Ricky Fuyuki Ricky Morton Riki Choshu Rob Van Dam Scott Steiner Sean Waltman Tarzan Goto Tatsumi Fujinami The Mountie The Rock Tiger Mask Tito Santana Tommy Rich Tommy Rogers Tony Garea Too Cold Scorpio Tor Kamata Toru Tanaka Toshiaki Kawada Triple H Tsuyoshi Kikuchi William Regal Yokozuna Yoshiaki Fujiwara Yoshihiro Tajiri Zoltan Boscik These are the last people who will receive ratings. NotJayTabb
So based on the "Bubble Watch", Henry is just above the relegation zone? That's pretty cool, esp as I seem to recall you weren't big on Henry.
JerryvonKramer
So based on the "Bubble Watch", Henry is just above the relegation zone? That's pretty cool, esp as I seem to recall you weren't big on Henry. There are lots of workers making my list who I literally hate. Henry I'm just a bit indifferent on. He scored better than Bossman and One Man Gang, which is one of advantage of working in an era in which you're having competitive TV matches every week. JerryvonKramer
Incidentally, these "re-do's" of Eaton and Windham aren't attempts to save them, they are bringing those ratings into line with all of the others in the interests of consistency. Eaton and Windham were two of the very first ratings I gave out, and I think the system has become more lenient over time, so like, y'know if I'm giving Henry some of those Raw and SD matches, Windham is getting stuff like that Regal match which I wasn't giving him before. The benchmarks for the "V category" have slackened since this thing began and guys like Eaton and Windham were getting short-changed. And no way those guys should be geting out-scored by Mick Foley or Owen Hart, just isn't right. So I fixed it. I'm much happier with Eaton and Windham in their new positions. soup23
Couple of nitpicks. Steiner's +3 seems generous (All Japan?, Indies?) what evidence supports this. Wont matter in long run but I would certainly give Fuyuki a +1 in ability to work brawls, +1 to get over in multiple markets ( AJ, WAR, FMW).
