Undertaker vs. Shane McMahon [Hell in a Cell]
Triangle Chokes were weird and terrible. Should have guessed from Shane’s training montages that this would be fake MMA early. So much laughably bad matwork here. So many audibly called spots. Taker completely gassed out five minutes in. Like AJ-Jericho, Taker had to behave like an idiot to put over the idea of Shane outsmarting him.

This improved once they started throwing monitors at each other’s heads and going through tables. People on Twitter were joking that you’ll ge get to see this match again at Mania 50, and that feels disappointingly possible. Shane’s dive was amazing in its own way. Really happy he didn’t kill himself, even if he killed kayfabe. I was laughing out loud at the finish in disbelief. Wow.

WM is in Texas. I wish they had just shown Kerry vs Dino Bravo from WM VII 8 times instead.

Matt, can we coin the phrase "gif wrestling" and get it over?

No, because then we'd have to use that match to explain it and once they finish giving Shane his WM III cart ride to the back, I'm never going to think about it again.

Can we all just stop and think about the magnitude of Shane's return, his seemingly possible promise to end The Authority once and for all, all of the hype and replays and media and promotion that went into his return, all of the MMA training videos and retrospectives and talking heads putting him over as a badass, giving him Undertaker at Wrestlemania in Hell in a Cell, having Taker sell the shit out of all of his MMA moves and highspots, then having Shane perform literally the biggest, most dangerous looking, most insane bump in WWE's history, and then having him pull himself up and say "bring it" before valiantly dying, and then getting carried out to an appreciative standing ovation...

...and then just imagine if they put that kind of effort into ONE OF THEIR ACTUAL WRESTLERS instead of a 40 something non-wrestling businessman who will be gone in a week.

I am legitimately afraid to look at my twitter feed because I know many casual wrestling fans from other interests, that are otherwise good people in day to day life and I don't want to lose respect for any of them right now.

Have to love this company basically promising change and then not delivering. They suck

I think that's why they completely ignored the stip during that whole thing, and just made it about the passion of the Shane.
