...TG
Jericho, of all people, had the funniest response to this crap: https://twitter.com/IAmJericho/status/762348547148840960. A rare glimpse of the old Jericho.
raul
UFC's talker talking is newsworthy? well, a bunch of shitty tweets by wrestlers is the newsworthy part. jericho's tweet was p decent.

Sidebottom
From a PR perspective, if somebody really wanted to own the troll instead of feeding it (as in, if the WWE were really interested in spinning something out of this for their own gain, which they're not) it would be Rock / HHH / Steph / Cena / Austin / Hogan - somebody of that ilk. And the reply would be a very simple "Do you want to compare bank balances?" Personally, I see this for what it is though, and get a chuckle out of the spectacle of so many people being thin skinned and biting. McGregor gets paid 7 figures per fight so on a per performance basis he's so far away from any active wrestler that it's really not worth going there. The better way to talk shit on McGregor would be to point out the WWE wrestlers travel all the time including frequent tours of other countries while Connor McGregor had a bitch fit about having to travel to a press conference for UFC's biggest event ever when he gets paid 7 figures per fight. C.S.
Was I the only one hoping this was about Roman Reigns and Conor of The Ascension? :\ Anyway, a bunch of wrestler tweets about this in one place: http://stillrealtous.com/ric-flair-chris-jericho-aj-styles-sheamus-respond-conor-mcgregor/
supremebve
Makes me want to see punk fight this dude You must hate Punk's guts. McGregor is truly an elite fighter, we don't know if Punk is even average. Punk is bigger than McGregor, but that is probably the only advantage he would have. Johnny Sorrow
Watching wrestlers compete for "Most outraged!" in efforts to either get some press or get the match for a payday if it ever happens makes Jericho's response so the best. joeg
There is truth to what McGregor said which is why it struck a cord. There are plenty of guys in the WWe who don't strike me as guys who can handle themselves. That's what makes Brock stand out. Even the guys who have the athletic.background to be able to handle themselves don't carry it like that. If that makes sense

Dooley
Jericho's response was great. Otherwise, it was a bunch of guys getting their panties in a knot. I think Bubba's was the worst. El-P
Not only that, but still lusting over Kurt Angle as a potential shooter in 2016, really ? Pro-wrestlers are still an insecure bunch it seems.
Laz
Not only that, but still lusting over Kurt Angle as a potential shooter in 2016, really ? Pro-wrestlers are still an insecure bunch it seems. They're a bunch of grown adults who, overall, act like annoying children when paying fans criticize a part of the product they've spent their money on. "Insecure" feels like an understatement.

sek69
Conor's statement did make me wonder who on the current roster would actually stand a chance against a trained fighter. Del Rio and Ziggler come to mind just based on their MMA and amateur wrestling backgrounds.

Johnny Sorrow
The best part of this is that all these guys are responding with tough guy shit cause they want the payday if it ever happens. And it'll be Jericho cause he's not a mark and will get beat.

And it'll be Jericho cause he's not a mark and will get beat. I said this on twitter, that guys were responding because they wanted to be the one to get the money and mainstream attention from doing something with McGregor at Mania. But I guess that's not as fun of a narrative to run with as "dumb wrestlers get worked!" What amuses me about that is that if the opposite had happened and a bunch of wrestlers had instead responded with "we all know he's just working because he wants to be involved in something at WrestleMania" they would have gotten shit on for not being smart enough to play along with the work and try to get involved in whatever McGregor would be doing at Mania.
