Rah
I dunno. Whenever I've had the (misfortunate) opportunity to see her wrestle I never come away thinking she's anything beyond passable at best and woeful at worst. Far more better women wrestlers not getting time enough time to shine. Tessa is zero loss, frankly.
Al
That’s my boat as well. Tessa being a failure is a Tessa problem. There’s SO much good female talent right now to take her spot.
Dale Wolfe
I have only really cherry-picked the supposed big matches because of her notoriety but I thought she could really go I didnt realise she was only mid-twenties tbh, often think getting a lot of attention early can really send things south Anyway, sounds like shes done herself over regardless. Still think WWE should take a shot just so she can try and take liberties with Rousey & see what happens

Will encourage workers to join Screen Actors Guild. Looking to purchase a venue, plans to give equal time to ladies and men, says he’s got funds to run for three years. Just sounds like lip service bullshit to me. I read about the "going to give equal time to men & women" & it's like, how can you say that before you even have a roster? If you have 30 men & 10 women, you're still going to give them equal time? Just pandering to appeal to online fans on social media. If current AEW, as an example, gave equal time to men & women it would be a goddamn disaster. That last episode of Dynamite is a perfect example. The main event bombed, the Julia Hart shit dragged & the Rosa/Serena promo lost the crowd. They have some talented women but they also have women that stink too. The big difference being they have so many more men than women that when the guys stink, they can just move on to the next guy that doesn't stink (ideally). But the women are so thin the options are a lot more limited. Unless they hire a lot more women. Who is Freddie Prince going to be able to get that WWE or AEW didn't get first? It's already spread super thin. There's not a lot of Sasha Banks' out there.
sek69
Delirious is available for seminars, wrestling matches or appearances through Bill Behrens at [email protected] From today's WO news update. I hope he gets booked for seminars and spends the whole time like RARARARARARARAH

sek69
Funny thing is by all accounts all of the problem children were pretty well behaved in MLW until LA Park when off the script.
Dav'oh
Anyone know if this is any good? Stumbled cross it on a torrent site. "Holly, a frustrated wannabe wrestler, faces the challenge of a lifetime when all of BOSS Pro's top wrestlers are poached by her brother Nick Nitro. Can Holly bring together a group of misfits to save the company?" Matt Lucas pops up in an episode says IMDb; I don't recognise anyone else's name. But fuck me dead if that doesn't look like the cover of a low/mid-budget porno. Edit: the reviews are in! "Another British comedy part funded by the British taxpayer. Dreadful script, lacking in imagination and the essence of comedy missing, laughs." "Would recommend this show to anyone who is a fan of wrestling or British humor. Good wrestling scenes as well as characters that you care about. By the second episode it really takes off in stride." So there's a bit of a dichotomy there... SteveJRogers
Have no clue if this does fit the WWE fora but I’m listening to a podcast cover WCW’s Slamboree 1993 and the start of their HOF. They stated that the plaques were on display at CNN headquarters and joked about what if they were still there all these decades later. A few years back I saluted the WCW Hall for this project on a trading card website https://www.tcdb.com/List.cfm/lid/6796/WCW-Hall-of-Fame?C=2 And never stumbled on what could have happened to the plaques since April of 2001. So, would anyone know about them? If A&E does another season of WWE’s Most Wanted, even without AJ Francis, maybe that could be the focus of an episode. Looking at the list of inductees though, sadly only Ole (hates WWE), Funk (probably done with TV appearances unless they go to him) and Inoki (same deal as Terry plus international) are still living. Probably reach out to someone like David Crockett as a sort of WCW “historian” for that “search.”
Dale Wolfe
Deep Heat isn't great but it does have a bit of ramshackle charm in a way There is one thats honestly funny, maybe 3 or 4, but the rest are average
subatomic_elbow
I don't know if there is anything I hate more in wrestling than promotional pics and event posters with a wrestler's face bloody. It makes the blood feel like a given or an assumption and takes me right out of it.
Alucard
the Authors of Pain's new Wrestling Entertainment Series debuts June 4 in England with an interesting looking card: WES World Championship: Adam Scherr (braun strowman) vs. former UFC Star, Alistair Overeem WES Womens Championship: Lina Fanene (nia jax) vs. CJ Perry (lana) WES Tag Team Championships: The Legion of Pain (AOP) vs. Wesley Blake & Steve Maclin (forgotten sons) WES Womens Tag Team Championships: The Influence (Madison Rayne & Tenille Dashwood) vs. Deonna Purrazzo & Chelsea Green Killer Kross vs. Samuray Del Sol vs. Jonah Lince Dorado vs. Dean Muhtadi (mojo rawley) preshow: Mike Bennett vs. Biff Busick Dirty Dango vs. Levis Valenzuela Jr. (no way jose)
Dav'oh
The average IQ is 100. There's no way the total IQ of that card of twenty-one wrestlers is anywhere near 2100.
El-P
WTF, really. Wasn't Nia Jax done with pro-wrestling anyways ? And Lana resurfacing here of all places is puzzling to say the least. Cool undercard though. The women tag match is basically an IMPACT match (love those four, too), AOP vs Forgotten Sons in a old-school (see what I did ?) NXT match, Kross vs Jonah vs Del Sol is an interesting mix (I mean, Del Sol and Jonah can do so much cool stuff together).
NintendoLogic
Maybe now we'll get a proper payoff to Lana getting put through tables week after week. At the very least, I expect a callback to the "my hole" spot.
NotJayTabb
As a Nottingham resident, which is where this show is taking place, I know the Motorpoint Arena very well, and I can't see this being remotely profitable. It's a 10,000 seater arena, and to put on a show at 3 weeks notice with basically undercard WWE talent feels like a madness. The last time WWE ran there in 2021, they only got 4,500. I guess this might have morbid curiosity value, but it feels very odd.

I guess this might have morbid curiosity value, but it feels very odd. I had heard that as well, that it was a large venue. That makes very little business sense to me. Due to my background in charity fundraising I know how much it costs to rent and run a venue of that size and it is not an insignificant number. They are going to be in the red from renting that venue alone, never mind what they are probably paying all that talent. I can’t imagine that Stroman or Overeem are coming cheap. I suppose it is possible they are getting a percentage of the gate and not a huge upfront guarantee, but I doubt that. Then, as you said… There is the ridiculous lack of leadtime going into this event. Less than a month to promote it does not give them much chance of getting a decent crowd out. I think those guys are going to be sorely disappointed with how this works out. And that’s not even getting into the actual quality of some of those potential matches. The odds of them making any money on this event are pretty much infinitesimal.

Considering odds are very high AOP are going to lose their asses just on booking the venue alone, it would be very stupid of them to agree to a percentage of a gate that might well be 0. (that is it say Stroman probably did, lol)
Infinit
It's also on FITE, maybe they're banking on PPV buys to help? And were there no smaller, more intimate yet impressive looking venues available in the UK? And why the UK? Most of the talent is US based...flights alone are going to be $$$.
