WingedEagle Posted April 2, 2017 Report Posted April 2, 2017 At least AJ won cleanly and strongly at the end. Not sure how to rate it but it was fun, didn't go a half hour and had a few big time spots. Hope AJ is satisfied. Quote
Matt D Posted April 2, 2017 Report Posted April 2, 2017 I just want to point out, re: my previous comment that Shane can hit a SSP and Jericho cannot. Quote
Jordan Posted April 2, 2017 Report Posted April 2, 2017 I'm almost disappointed that wasn't as dumb as I was hoping it would be. Kinda lingered a bit near the end but Shane really throws better savate kicks than Mutoh does. Quote
Childs Posted April 2, 2017 Report Posted April 2, 2017 Well, that was a mess but kind of a fun mess. You just have to accept that these Shane matches have nothing to do with anything else I guess. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted April 2, 2017 Report Posted April 2, 2017 Shane is a better in-ring worker in 2017 than Jericho. I had a blast watching this, quite honestly. Quote
Microstatistics Posted April 2, 2017 Report Posted April 2, 2017 Call me crazy but that was better than Styles's series with Cena. Pretty decent, watchable match. ** 3/4 ish Quote
goodhelmet Posted April 2, 2017 Author Report Posted April 2, 2017 So is Shane Liger, Takada and Sangre Chicana all rolled into one? Big dives, matwork, punches he can do it all apparently. He's none of them. More like RVD, Davey Richards and Road Dogg rolled into one... but better. Quote

cowboy hats Posted April 2, 2017 Report Posted April 2, 2017 Yeah, I really dug it, with the caveat of annoyance that this is Shane instead of anyone else Quote
Jmare007 Posted April 2, 2017 Report Posted April 2, 2017 Opener was dumb fun. Better than what I expected so I'm totally fine with the non nonsensical layout and lack of story. Quote

Childs Posted April 2, 2017 Report Posted April 2, 2017 Well, we're set up well to do the Shane-Jericho Pepsi challenge. Quote

cowboy hats Posted April 2, 2017 Report Posted April 2, 2017 Lol, was wondering why they weren't showing the match promo, but they can show it all while KO's walking down the ramp Quote
WingedEagle Posted April 2, 2017 Report Posted April 2, 2017 AJ vs. Shane -- ***1/4 Absurd, but well done and AJ bumped hard to make it work. Finish puts it over the top. Quote
...TG Posted April 2, 2017 Report Posted April 2, 2017 I was expecting an idiotic stunt show but they gave us a half-decent pro wrestling match instead. Quote

Parties Posted April 2, 2017 Report Posted April 2, 2017 Clearly a better match than AJ-Jericho or Shane-Taker last year, if only because they decided to have a good fight rather a bad epic. Shane’s cosplaying will always be ridiculous, but it was all far superior to what it could have been, ridiculous Triangle Choke and all. Really weird that two of the more anticipated matches (esp. by the smarkier portions of the crowd) are going on first. I could see this backfiring if the final third of the show is some combo of the usual lame Rock appearance, a creepy Hogan cameo, and Taker and Goldberg riding into the sunset in back-to-back duds.
