flyonthewall2983 Posted April 30, 2018 Report Posted April 30, 2018 WWE Network News confirmed that the show is coming, one week from today.
Matt D Posted April 30, 2018 Report Posted April 30, 2018 I'm vaguely interested in the episodes with Raven on commentary but not a whole lot else.
SomethingSavage Posted April 30, 2018 Report Posted April 30, 2018 I wouldn't mind checking out some of those earlier episodes, back when the show was relevant and still story-driven with major angles. I know the wrestling itself wouldn't hold up, but it'd still be fun to relive that stuff. I know the later years had better matches, but I've got no interest in seeing Val Venis versus Stevie Richards #3085. Yes, it was a good match. No, I do not need to spend ten minutes of my free time reexamining it.
Jimmy Redman Posted May 1, 2018 Report Posted May 1, 2018 This is actually super helpful for me because there's a handful of women's matches on Heat I haven't been able to find online. I can plug the gaps.
Matt D Posted May 1, 2018 Report Posted May 1, 2018 This is actually super helpful for me because there's a handful of women's matches on Heat I haven't been able to find online. I can plug the gaps. You're also morally obligated to watch every match with Ivory commentary.
Jimmy Redman Posted May 1, 2018 Report Posted May 1, 2018 What moral would that be regarding exactly.
With Coil Posted May 1, 2018 Report Posted May 1, 2018 I love these old C shows. All I need now is some Velocity so I can see Sean O'Haire wrecking some of the current WWE 'superstars'.
Sean Liska Posted May 1, 2018 Report Posted May 1, 2018 Keep pulling from those archives Network friends! Get to Georgia and Florida eventually!
iamthedoctor Posted May 1, 2018 Report Posted May 1, 2018 WWE Network News confirmed that the show is coming, one week from today. I really hope the off air segments make the upload. Raw had so many and quite a few on Heat were filmed as highlights at times were shown on Raw so no excuses that they didnt film any.

Zoo Enthusiast Posted May 1, 2018 Report Posted May 1, 2018 And untelevised WCW! Hell, even just Worldwide & Pro.
sek69 Posted May 1, 2018 Report Posted May 1, 2018 Keep pulling from those archives Network friends! Get to Georgia and Florida eventually! Did we ever get word on the state of the Georgia footage they own? I figured it must have been bad if they were using what looked like YouTube rips on some of their DVDs. Then again, that doesn't make sense since they were filmed at Turner's TV station and he is known to be a preservationist.

We could have said the same thing about Raw but they suprised us there.

Like if I throw on a Raw from 98, does it have a dark match thrown in or something?

A lot of the Attitude Era Raws have an "extra attitude" segment usually just for the live crowd to send them home happy.

Will never watch those, but cool for those who like that stuff I guess.
Hawkeye12 Posted May 3, 2018 Report Posted May 3, 2018 I haven't watched many of the RAWs with extra footage, but I did watch the episode with Austin and Undertaker vs Kane and Mankind in the Hell in a Cell and after the show went off the air, Austin actually scored a pinfall to end the match instead of just the brawl to end the show without a finish. Kind of like how we finally saw the end of the Hart Foundation vs Strike Force from the Main Event episode, where it seems they tried to squeak the finish in before going off the air but still missed the pinfall by a minute. I like those kind of little things that would've never seen the light without the network.
Victator Posted May 3, 2018 Report Posted May 3, 2018 Bruce Pritchard said those were taped to drive traffic to the website.

Like it had gone on for a 15-30 minute classic after the show had gone off the air? And when you could finally see the pinfall, it was pretty much seconds after the last of the Main Event credits rolled. Or was it just complaining about seemingly lost forever footage, no matter how insignificant the length was, or complaining that the finish was never aired, despite not being a title change?

Funny as long as I've been trading (which seems like forever), the end of that match not being available never came across my radar as being valued or important like other "lost treasures" have been mythologized over the years. Might just be me though.
PeteF3 Posted May 3, 2018 Report Posted May 3, 2018 Yeah, it was definitely moreso the latter--a curiosity. No way would they be busting their asses after such a monumental WWF title match. There's also the fact that the WWF never did the "We're out of time!" show-closer, so it stood out more.
landy1987 Posted May 3, 2018 Report Posted May 3, 2018 Bruce is wrong. Those Extra Attitude segments were not shown on the website at the time they took place. First time theyve been seen is on the Network
