Seems Punk is a go and Collision will be officially announced at the United Center. Man, I hope he shows up tonight because only 3 weeks to fill that place up is a not an easy task.

I mean, there is no competition tonight, since the Nuggets swept the Lakers. If they wanna grab people's eyeballs and dollars, they should have that surprise on deck. I haven't seen a single soul excited for this Four Pillar program (specially because it really should've been Darby vs MJF, if we're going that route).

Unless they want to hold off on Punk actually appearing until Collision, I do wonder if he shows up after the main event at DON to mirror MJF doing the same to him

Yup, that's the second biggest thing they could book to garner interest (make people tune in for the following Dynamite) and probably the most realistic one.

With Omega, Page and Moxley seemingly off the table, what other Punk programs are left in AEW? A final Joe match is intriguing. Jericho. A rematch with MJF. Something with Bryan or Claudio. It'd be a great opportunity for Jay White. Miro? There's Adam Cole, Malakai Black, Keith Lee. What do you want to see from Punk?

You’d think the big money program would be the obvious one if they can all bury the hatchet and work it all out between them. I kind of think Punk is coming back as a heel anyway since I can see him getting booed in a lot of places

Gimme Punk vs Ricky.

Listen, they'll go with Britt.

As they should, given she is the division's biggest draw and she rules. Plus, we can finally get to the much-awaited Britt v. Jamie.

I strongly disagree with you here, bubba. She has this very bad habit of just fucking burying opponents on the mic during feuds - and she is a strong talker, don't get me wrong - and even when Hayter was champ, she never felt like the focus of the division. There's this overfixation on Britt that is not good on the short or long run.

Is she better than Saraya? Yes. Would she be the better choice to drop the belt to someone like Willow? No.

The burying opponents thing only became a thing during the Thunder Rosa feud, and that was obviously caused due to them hating each other in real life. She was not burying Shida or Nyla or Statlander when she was feuding with them.

She managed to make a Big Swole feud slightly entertaining. Will forever be a fan just cuz of that.

Hayter didn't feel the focus cuz of Saraya, not Britt.

Tbh the best choice would be Athena, she is having a career year and deserves a chance to run with the ball

The whining about a long ROH show (really two put together) was absurd. You can watch it whenever. On paper, there were maybe 17 of the 19 matches (sorry Cole Karter and Action Andretti) I wanted to see and I'll watch them in between other things as it fits into my life over the next week.

I think a lot of the whining about it had to be a Twitter thing. On Twitter, you have to stay up with the most recent thing to be part of the immediate discourse. On Twitter, you watch wrestling not necessarily because you love wrestling but because you crave being part of something immediate and live and bigger than you. You derive part of your identity from it and therefore you have to consume it as soon as possible so you don't fall behind the curve, because the curve is only going to last a few hours. ROH is made for a message board crowd by a message board poster.

I kind of feel bad for people who can't find joy in a show that kicks off with Mark Briscoe vs JD Drake. Those people are definitely doing wrestling wrong.

That reminds me that Meltzer doesn't rewatch old wrestling again. I can understand that in his position he needs to keep on top of what's current and it's a luxury he can't afford, but my fandom would have disappeared a long time if I was just watching current stuff all the time.
