Yeah, I don't think he's a bigot, but he's definitely not PC I was reading the Time magazine article on Liz Warren and they quoted a retired teacher after seeing her at a town hall saying, "She was such a doll" then following it up with, "can I say that?" We live in a world where an older man has to question himself when using a term of endearment like "doll" because it might now be considered offensive by the PC thought police. An old guy like Corny doesn't stand a chance, but if you listen to him rant about politics he's super liberal and F'n hates all the MAGA folks, hicks, racists and religious right

This is why I don't care. I'm not watching that show anyway. I almost never watch WWE TV anymore either, but there's way bigger problems than Corbin, he's just one of many. And I agree with several people's sentiments that he's a perfectly fine mid-card heel, but there's absolutely no reason to push him so hard and put him all over RAW. He's definitely part of the problems there. Make him a mid-card gatekeeper who puts over guys on the way up and gets wins over guys lower than him or moving down the card. He's decent in the ring and can talk.

Only watched through Cody-Dustin so far, needed a break after that, but everything that I've seen was good. That's the bloodiest match I think I've seen since Eddie-JBL 15 years ago. Was legit worried for Dustin's safety and there were fans in the crowd who looked legit distraught by it.

WWE TV 05/06 - 05/13: Let's just cut 30% of all federal universities' budget

It's a blatant rip off of Rob Smigel's TV Funhouse, and also Wonder Showzen I don't hate it, I actually like it, but it's not original, and I don't see how it's going to translate to in-ring and in arenas That said, I don't really care. WWE can crash and burn all they want -
WWE TV 01/28 - 02/03 Brazil is covered in mud and blood

I'd prefer Becky and Ronda 1-1, but if they did a Charlotte-Asuka WM rematch no way in hell should Charlotte win again. Completely unnecessary. Asuka is finally back on track after losing to Charlotte last year and is way hotter. Charlotte is way better as a heel and you can lose the loss to push her further over the edge. That said, I don't hate the 3 way idea, and it's been built up. They're smart enough to know Becky is their hottest act right now and Ronda and Charlotte will both be booed out of every segment they're in with her -
That would be incredibly lame given that he cashed in in advance weeks ago. That said, WWE does incredibly lame retcon shit all the time and make up the rules as they go, so I wouldn't put it past them.

What bothered me about the finish is that Brock F-5's Roman onto Braun.......why not have the ref come down and count 3 with the unconscious Roman pinning the unconscious Braun?!!? Gives you an actual finish with an out. Brock is motivated because he wants to beat Roman to get his title back.....and in the process he screws Braun out of his MITB contract setting up a match with them down the line. Why do the no contest fuck finish when you had a great storyline building finish RIGHT THERE?!! I enjoyed the show overall. Tag Title match was great, liked Orton-Hardy, liked the mixed tag and the womens matches.....nothing bad on the show and no long time killing segments. Heat for Joe-AJ was hurt by following that hot tag match. I actually thought the finish was really creative and well shot.....and before they even announced it I knew it was setting up for Melbourne. I actually think it makes more sense to put the belt on Joe there to give that show a big title change.....and Joe is about as close as a "hometown hero" as Australia will have being of Pacific Island descent

How has nobody mentioned Rey Mysterio yet?!! Ricochet is ridiculous, he's probably my pick for active wrestlers. The way he can flip out of the ring and land on his feet effortlessly is ridiculous. Will Osperay is pretty damn impressive too. Himoru Takahashi as well.

Well, I'm the same way when it comes to workout style. I'm a cardio guy who does light weights. Compare Ambrose in the early Shield era to later. His body changed a lot. I remember it being talked about here on this board

Dean looked badass. I think the time out healing up did him good. He got way too lean/small/skinny/whatever, and I think it was due to all the nagging injuries I loved the stuff with Roman, Paul and Brock I really enjoyed the show overall. Braun coming out to be Balor's partner was predictable but it was great. And the crowd was super hot

I LOVE that Foundation Busters match. Thanks for posting And yea, Canadian Stampede is one of the best, just for the time period and crowd heat alone

Not defending this if true (and yeah I know what my av is) but this happened over a decade ago? I agree with Al that this says more about WWE, and with Johnny that shit, this is a long time ago. If true it's juvenile and sophomoric, but I played sports my entire life, and I've seen worse in locker rooms. Hell, I've been hazed worse. Again, not defending it, and the "it's wrestling" excuse doesn't excuse it, but it's wrestling. I've heard way worse hazing stories Also, I don't doubt that this is something Orton would do, but let's remember it's Court Bauer and an anonymous "former writer" and take it with a grain of salt As far as punishment goes, who knows. Probably nothing or at most a public mea culpa. I'm honestly getting tired of people getting in trouble years later for old tweets or dumb shit they did when they were younger. I wasn't very mature in my mid 20's either and I no doubt did some stuff I regret. Nothing like the stuff Orton allegedly did, but I've never been in the insane wrestling business

This sucks. Feel terrible for Nattie Was a huge fan of the Hart Foundation as a kid. Even loved him and Owen as The New Foundation. And of course the 97 stable was great. It's so sad that out of the 5 of them Bret is the only one left

Also, as far as Cena/HHH going on first......that's not an ego thing I don't think. Paul was going to be running the show backstage so it made sense that way, and Cena probably needed the first flight out to get back to whatever movie he's shooting or whatever

A lot to unpack in here and I don't want to go much into geo-politics - I've seen some confusion around about why the crowd was distracted during Nak-AJ. That was when the Royals ETC were being led into the stadium to take their plush hard side cam seats. That was shitty to do that during Nak and AJ, the F'n WWE Title match. WWE cams were trying very hard to disguise the fact that that whole section was empty for most of the show, but the cameras caught it several times, and the announcers even addressed it at one point. - AJ/Nak was very good, better than Mania, and I didn't hate the finish at all. Seems like a lot of people did. I really love Nak since the heel turn and F'n love his new banger theme - Lashley hasn't been given anything to do yet really. Has he even had any real promo time? He's over, for sure, but they need to give him more to chew on. From what I saw of him in TNA he's gotten pretty awesome as a monster ass-kicker, and will be better as a heel. I think the stuff with Braun is the perfect setup for Braun winning the belt from Brock and setting up the Lashley we saw in TNA being unleashed As far as spending money on WWE or whatever, and the moral outrage......I laugh at this tbh. On the scale of things this is very low on the moral outrage scale for me. That said, the scale is heavily tilted, I just don't have the energy to be upset about every fucking thing that happens, not only on this planet, but in my own country. I'm trying to get D's elected in the USA, I can't do shit about the House of Saud or a private company doing business with them. Our government does business with them. Trump's tabloid mag buddy who bought and killed stories about him published a pro-Saud magazine with direct Saud govt influence. There are bigger fishes to fry. And I spend almost zero $ on the WWE product. I've bought two shirts in my entire life. I haven't gone to a live show in over 20 years. I've bought a couple video games. I've subscribed to the network, but only when it's "free" or on cheap deals. I watch, but not super regularly, and a lot of it online. I watch because I like wrestling and I like the wrestlers. As a company they are what we are, and we all know what they are and it is what is Sorry for the rant

I'm glad AJ won the strap because Jinder as champ kinda sucks, but honestly Brock vs. Jinder was more interesting to me just to see what they did with it. AJ v. Brock will absolutely be the better match, but just like with the Kurt return it feels rushed and on the fly and would be better with a proper build up. I would be extremely surprised to see AJ beat Brock. I expect he's there to put up a strong fight and do a clean job. And then they work that into storylines based on his history with Shane. And Jinder wins the belt back in India.

I know Kane has always been safe with it and hasn't hurt anyone that I'm aware of, but for whatever reason when he did it to Rollins and Ambrose and the one on the stage they weren't as safe looking as I'm used to seeing from him. Maybe that's just me, but it seems like he's always been good at taking it on his knees and protecting the head, and on these it seemed like the head was dangerously close to taking at least half the impact but again, maybe that's just me and I need to go back and rewatch

Oh yea, I loved that "Trick or Street" match. It was stupid and silly, but it was so much fun. I had legit LOL moments watching it

I actually thought they might be building to Bryan as captain of Team SD until the lights went out and he was on the phone with Brie and then, of course, Kane shows up to kill him. I don't know if that's writing him off of tv, and if it was it was well done, because that's literally the first time he's been bumped since he was forced to retire. And, who was the last guy he faced? Kane. And it was a well done pre-tape because it legit looked like Kane gave him the chokeslam, when of course he really didn't. I also thought the pre-tape stuff with the Miz and entourage and then Braun was well done. And back to Kane, I don't mind him coming back and killing people because it's ultimately him putting over Braun (I think and hope that's the case) and it's probably his last run. And really, Kane has had a great WWF/WWE career, I know some people are sick of him, but in kayfabe he's always been portrayed as a total monster killer, so there is no shame ore hurt in guys losing to him. I actually really liked what they did with him on RAW. My only complaints were it looked like he was spiking dudes on their heads when he did the tombstone.......and then that story wise Kane really should have showed up to attack Braun at the end........but I also don't hate that they are saving it

I've been off the wrestling news grid for the last week or so, and was sad to see Emma and Summer gone. I really liked both of them and thought both could have been used a lot better. I really, really liked Emma as a performer. As far as the Emmalina stuff went, I thought it was stupid in the first place, much like when they tried to repackage Lana as a dancer which failed miserably. Emma had gotten really good as a heel in NXT when she was teamed with Dana Brooke, it worked, and it could have transitioned seamlessly to the main roster if they gave it a chance and a push. I'm legit bummed by this, and it makes the Asuka matches stranger in context. They had good matches in NXT, so pairing them made sense in that respect, but Emma has basically been a jobber and Asuka needed to come in as a destroyer. And they did that with a random jobber on RAW tonight, which makes it that much odder to me. I also really liked Summer. The stuff with both Fandango and Rusev was great, and she wasn't terrible as a wrestler. She wasn't great, she was better as a valet, but she was very athletic and the more she was in the ring the more she improved. I honestly, a few months ago, looked online to see if she was already out because she hadn't been around in seemingly forever, and I don't watch Total Divas. I'm gonna miss her, and I think WWE wasted her as a talent. Darren Young I don't have strong feelings about. He did seem to be out with injuries a lot, and he's not all that young at this point. I liked the Prime Time Players as a team, thought they should have been pushed more, and thought it was dumb to break them up. The Backlund stuff was just weird, and I love Backlund personally, it was just odd. I looked at DY as a dude that was best served in a tag team, and he floundered after the PTPers were split.

He's of Syrian heritage. Put him with Rusev

They've recently had JR, Jericho, Ed Nordholm (Anthem) and Patric Leprade (Montreal historian). WOL regularly has indy wrestlers on as guests. When Bryan was doing Figure Four Daily on a somewhat daily basis he had lots of interviews with indy guys and retired guys, but that was a long time ago. Now he's focused on the Dave shows, WOL, B&V and Filthy Four.......which admittedly is a heavy workload for a married man with a young daughter I agree that I'd like to see more interviews though

Yeah, I always thought Fuji going with the Powers of Pain made total sense. 1) He was portrayed as dumber than the other top managers, and 2) The Powers of Pain were the new monster team in the fed. And 3) it worked to turn the Demos face, and they had a great face run. It all worked. And I loved those huge Survivor tag matches with the "re-enforced ring"

Nobody is saying Bobby Heenan was perfect. This just isn't the time or the place for this stupid argument.
