Have a friend who literally just started watching WWE again this week for the first time since the Attitude Era, after I had been trying to get him to for quite a while. He’s a huge MMA fan and Ronda getting so much positive press after Mania made him finally cave. Anyhow, when I had told him a few weeks before Mania how pumped I was that I was going to see Daniel Bryan’s comeback in person, he had no idea who he was. This past Tuesday, he texted me to say how pumped he was to see Jeff Hardy win the belt on Raw. Obviously anecdotal, but I think plenty of people did Yes! chants at various events without a hint of curiosity as to what they were derived from.

I loved his match with Tom Lawlor on the Black Label “We’re Not the Mounties” show.

This is high on my rewatch list. I remember not loving it live, even though these are two of my favorite guys. I was probably just tired from being up at 3:15 to make my flight.

The one I always pop for is the sleeper suplex. And I call virtually everything a T-Bone TazPlex. EDIT: I fucking LOVE superplexes, as well. The only redeemable quality of Randy Orton.

Maybe it’s just because I watch several podcasts on YouTube, but this was exactly what I expected the show to be. Didn’t bother me in the slightest. Pretty standard for how these shows look.

I'm planning on rewatching the Bruno/Larry feud, tackling some of the All Star on the Network, and figuring out the best way to consume '92 WCW since the Saturday Night shows got dumped (tips appreciated). Oh, plus there is a live Black Label Pro show on Powerbomb tonight with PCO vs Chris Dickinson and Nick Gage vs Tom Lawlor. These are the best days.

I ran into a guy a couple times at Mania that was dressed as Enzo and was chanting ohhhhh Enzo Amore! So, that was something.

Man, rough night for Raw. They got like 75% of the terrible stuff from Smackdown.

They announced Liger for some of the War of the Worlds shows in May. Hoping for something like Liger/Gresham at the Chicago show.

I have to rewatch this to see if I was losing my mind during it as completely as I think I was. I really do not like Ospreay very often but I was right there with him on this one. Riddle won the belt the night before and I totally thought he might lose this by the time they hit the finishing stretch. This was the best match I saw live all weekend.

Is Hulk Rules the one with Hulkster in Heaven? I had that one on CD. Dope fucking jam. I had all the WWF The Music releases for a few years. I think Volume 2 was the best one. I think I got the knock-off one mentioned above, too. Had covers of ECW themes and stuff. Like Monster Magnet playing Enter Sandman or something.
