  1. I'll show no shame. I loved Kid Kash. Really liked his run as a mid-card flippy dude who took insane bumps in ECW, then liked him in 2004-ish in TNA, and thought his WWE run and later stuff were really solid. And his way too brief tag with Noble rocked the house. Would have loved to have seen them get a solid run. I'll change it now.
  2. I saw long hair and a star singlet and got hyped it was Gable and I didn't realize it, only for it to be Bo Dallas.
  3. A whole, whole bunch. I basically was very gung ho about this to begin with, watched enough to get a handle on a couple of guys, but then was without internet. When I got it back, it was close enough to the deadline that I didn't watch ANYTHING else because I was sure I wasn't going to turn in a list. Then, when someone in the Everyone Should... thread basically had my same issue, they were encouraged and I decided "Screw it". So I have practically no Japanese workers, no Lucha beyond those who had substantial WCW runs, no WoS... It's definitely a limited snapshot of this point in time that I will re-evaluate as time goes on.
  4. How many of Styles's finishers have they blown through tonight?
  5. In the 2010 BOSJ. https://youtu.be/LXnH6ylf9FA
  6. Nakamura's music is, after one night, probably my favorite music the WWE uses. The violin is just insane.
  7. I could see myself being high voter on Eddie, Austin, Vader, Eaton, Dustin, Owen, Waltman, Styles, Cesaro...
  8. I hate my ballot since I was without internet for so much of the discussion time and watched precisely dick, but it's been turned in.
  9. "The Monster" Mantanza Cueto sounds as stilted and awkward as any bad WWE lingo they've tried to force in the last few years. We know he's Dario's brother. Does he really need a last name?
  10. I don't know if any of these are great, but here's the Awesome that El-P had worth watching in his WCW thread. All from 2000. 05/07 : Mike Awesome vs Kanyon 05/08 : Mike Awesome vs DDP (Nitro) 06/11 : DDP vs Mike Awesome 06/22 : Jeff Jarrett & Mike Awesome vs Scott Steiner & Kevin Nash. (Thunder) 07/10 : Booker T vs Mike Awesome (Nitro) 07/18 : Mike Awesome vs Lance Storm (Nitro) 09/17 : Jeff Jarrett vs Mike Awesome 09/18 : Mike Awesome vs Vampiro (Nitro) 10/23 : Scott Steiner vs Mike Awesome (Nitro)
  11. This Ryback look has to be a rib, right? Did Goldberg turn down a meeting recently?
  12. Benoit was the first person to come to mind. Just a wretched promo but his physical charisma was definitely there.
  13. The GAB '91 Capture the Flag Scaffold Match earns a special place in shitty gimmick match hell.
  14. If I remember correctly, it was designed to showcase RVD but he wasn't around long enough for it to pay off.
  15. Yeah, I could fully see Owens/Styles being a whole lot of fun.
  16. He had a falling out with Lana last summer, which resulted in him swearing off her Russian influence and being Bulgarian again. Although they're together now and he's still Bulgarian, but let's not focus on details. As for the boots, he injured his ankle on a spot outside of the ring at a SmackDown, and since he came back, he's been wearing them.
  17. Anyone else having major major choppy issues with the Network?

    NXT talk

Bayley worked the live show I was at tonight. Was able to get over with a new crowd in the course of 10 minutes or so, facing Naomi (Sasha at ringside just felt like a tease). I think she'll succeed just fine on the main roster.

I think with Balor, particularly out of the demon costume, he has a tendency to just come off as a guy, as opposed to being someone who can be the guy. A heel run might be what he needs to get there. With Bayley, I think you completely redo her character arc. Have her get overwhelmed by the WWE atmosphere but still give her steady screen time so that when she finds herself, the crowd is there with her.
  20. His normal 9-5 job was working for Jesse Helms.
  21. They subverted every dumb screw job finish of the last several years in that finish.
  22. I think Wyatt's coolest look is when he has something written on a blank tee, ala "All is Lost" at WM30.
  23. poor old Fred, its like they found a few pieces of costume in Jim Herds old locker chucked him in them and told him to go break a leg. According to wiki WCW attempted to salvage the incident by introducing a new character called The Super Shockmaster. Also portrayed by Ottman, he was presented as The Shockmaster's nephew, and referred to the Shockmaster as "Uncle Fred.". I have no memory of this character He was like the world's worst superhero in the gimmick. He was supposed to feud with Vader after Superbrawl as Dusty pencilled him to referee the Thundercage main event. Vader refused and the spot went to The Boss.
  24. Martel won the TV Title. And it felt like they had decent plans for him until he got hurt. Although Duggan beat Austin in like 40 seconds for the US Title.
