  1. So much to address here. The Kingfish and Dundee hugging it out after clearing the ring is great. Dusty making his deal to leave just to save the fans the indignity is such a great angle. JYD and Wrestling 2 is an incredible ending. Williams looks like a world beater in his title defense. Great, great show.
  2. Bad News is definitely a man's man. Not sure how far it gets him, but there's no doubt about it. Here's hoping that dadgum Canadian sissy keeps his belt at Star Wars. Adonis/Murdoch vs. the Monarchy is heating up.
  3. Good when we got to see Yatsu or Tenryu. The bit before Yatsu went chair crazy was a bit wonky, but it is what it is. I liked seeing Yatsu go a little Tenryu here, makes for a more interesting feud.
  4. A wrestler with one good eye is ludicrous?!? Ever hear of that Stan Hansen fella? Also, did these guys actually shoot an entire western to introduce Dutch and Black Bart to WCW? If so, did it do well at the box office?
  5. Dave throwing the mic down absolutely made this segment for me. I mean, Embry was on fire for this TV taping and the King was right there with him. So when Dave makes me want to see this match more than either of them that is saying something. As far as the match itself, I'm expecting Embry to bring everything, the kitchen sink and probably the refrigerator and the dishwasher too. The guy is clearly going to get his ass kicked and will do anything and everything to avoid it.
  6. Young RVD should know better than to turn his back on Embry. Rookie mistake. Fun little tag match with good stuff from all 4.
  7. Great stuff by all involved. Embry is such a slimy bastard at this point.
  8. Only time I've seen fans/ringside personnel running away like that is when Stan Hansen gets pissed off after losing to Tenryu via roll-up and starts tearing up ringside. Love seeing everyone just scurrying out of the way when that chainsaw starts getting close. Leatherface is a way better worker than I expected. I will agree that the tease of Lawler getting his revenge on Embry is brilliantly done.
  9. Bossman cut a good fired-up promo here. I'll fourth Percy being really good.
  10. Seems like a pretty good idea for a more wrestling-friendly shootstyle.
  11. I liked seeing Aja finally come into her own as a badass here. It doesn't look like she's ready to beat Bull in a singles match, but she's way closer than she's been. Bison always looks really weak to me even on her own, but you put Aja and Bull in the ring at the same time and it stands out. Never cared much for Kyoko and I don't here.
  12. I wanted to believe Andre. They probably should have let it go with the attack by 'Quake though.
  13. The idea of a Liger vs. Fuchi match is so amazing.
  14. Dino Bravo in Lutte was so, so much better than Dino Bravo in WWF. It's night and day.
  15. I'm torn. I loved Percy's facial expressions as Bobby talked, even if he seemed to agree. But Coach seems like something WCW would come up with around this time.
  16. At least they have an excuse now to let Andre use some kind of support to walk. Had to be hard on the guy.
  17. This was far too long, as mentioned above. Cut about 2/3 of it and it works way better.
  18. I think it was after they had beaten up on Ricky with the boot. Either way, murdoch is still a good promo and I am liking this angle in comparison to most of WCW at this point.
  19. I thought Luger did a better job of getting himself over here than I've seen him do anytime in 1990 or 91. Really good stuff.
  20. Heyman was getting a raise right? And a commendation for valor?
  21. This was really, really good for the time it got. Shame the booking cut it way too short.
  22. Where to start? This definitely was an upgrade over all but the Pillman/Horsemen tag in terms of action. Crowd was huge for it. Imagine if it had been for the Steiner's belts, you know, the WCW ones these fans care about. Question 1: Why do the fans in Atlanta give the first 1/64th of a fuck about Japanese tag belts? Question 2: How is it Scott understands what a hot tag is supposed to work when he's a babyface like this and not when he's the heel in Japan? Question 3: Where are you getting your info from JR? If there is a leader of this team it's Chono. Seven days of the week and any you might make up. Moving on, Scott with one of the most misjudged top rope moves in a big match of all time with that attempted break-up of the STF. Finish is fine, and I'm all for seeing Dick Murdoch come in and punch the crap out of everything that moves. But this is what you had to resort to as far as challengers to the Steiners? How long is this conceivably going to last given the age of Murdoch and Slater? Are there other, younger tag teams on the horizon that will be built up for the end of this feud? Recent history suggests no. The fact that this is the least of WCW's messes at the time says a ton.
  23. The toned down version of Johnny B. Badd is far easier to see going somewhere. Yeah, he still looks like an effeminate heel, but you could actually buy him as Adrian Street meeting Little Richard a little bit here, unlike the first time. Pepa and Spinderella were a complete waste. I have to say I respect their acting chops for their little pretend PN News isn't completely awful routine. And my recollection is that PN News was awful in the ring from listening to Parv and Chad go through old WCW PPVs.
