Does anyone have any background info on Kader Hassouni? I just saw him tear it up with Johnny Saint on an old match Brit match from 77. They announce him from Morocco and Kent Walton (I believe is doing commentary) said he had a Greco-Roman Wrestling background.

Not the UFC, but Fedor returns tonight to Bellator against Mir and he will most likely get wrecked again.

RIZIN is the best pro wrestling company right now
Edwin replied to GOTNW's topic in Pro Wrestling Mostly
Updated the card for RIZIN 10. As expected, Kyoji vs. McCall headlines, Tenshin's fight is the co-main. Every RIZIN event so far has been good to great. For those wanting to watch the event, as always it will be streamed on FITE TV for $19.99. -
WWE will give him a feud with Bryan and won't turn him heel and he'll steamroll Bryan at WM and then they will wonder why he's not getting over as a face even though he steamrolled two of the most over babyfaces in the companies history on the biggest stage -- Taker and Bryan.

I also like the Undertaker and Yoshiaki Fujiwara longevity and the Usos and Crush Gals drawing power comparisons. Those two may peak the Volk Han technical ability comparisons. Also, TIL Chono isn't Japanese and Rey and Eddie aren't Mexicans -- they're all Americans -- WCW fooled us by making us think they had a roster full of international stars, when in fact, they were all Americans. With that said, this is a great thread -- from boycotting ROH it somehow ended up in an entirely different direction. Kudos to shodate -- sure he can give threads and odd spin, but he's also very insightful when he decides to.

If you are interested in catching MLW Fusion download the go90 on your mobile phone or tablet and in the live channels tab select beIN SPORTS and it will be listed on the program list as MLW Fusion. This is totally legal and free as go90 works with beIN SPORTS.

So is that an official title or is it just a trophy title for the winner of it? That was a loooong show. Not a bad show, not a great show either. The rumble got fun near the end and a ton of random entries no one cared for or knew. Also Corey "All over Kevin Owens like a Byron Saxton cheap suit" was line of the night for me.

That segment was great.

Can we change this thread title to: "He's ambitiously stupid" - Why allowing Dave Meltzer to tweet is scary bad?

https://twitter.com/holly_brooke7/status/989906310274707459 "You say this as we have a match with Cedric Alexander." How old are you? Making fun of someone for liking WWE is pretty pathetic.

That’s great. I’m going to need to start watching their show. Always love Yehi and have really been enjoying Lawlor more each time I see him. Last weeks debut show had Austin Aries vs. ACH and the first Penta vs. Fénix match. Aries/ACH was OK -- much better live. If you are a fan of the Lucha Bros, then you should watch their match. The show is good fun though and the production is a lot better than the production of the majority of U.S. indys. Tony Schiavone is also doing commentary on the show, so that is a plus.

They tweeted the website is down at the moment, but they are working on it. You can always use Cagematch which is great, too, in the meantime.

OK, wait... So the winner of a 50 man Royal Rumble gets a trophy and the winner of the 30 man Royal Rumble gets a world title shot at WrestleMania?

Posted this on DVDVR... An oldie, but a goodie. Can't wait for these two to finally interact.

Poll: Favorite match in the Tiger Mask vs Dynamite Kid series?
Edwin replied to SPS's topic in Pro Wrestling
I'm one of the few who saw this years after I got into Japanese pro-wres. I had been following Japanese pro-wres. for about 5-6 years before I actually got to watch this. I was a big fan of these back then when I was younger. Rewatching this series today and tomorrow. I'm up to 7/23/1982 and it's the second best out of the bunch so far with 1/28/1982 being better imo. The first two really did nothing for me. There was a six man 2/3 falls match in there with Dynamite Kid teaming up with Abdullah the Butcher and Baby Face vs. Tiger Mask teaming up with Antonio Inoki and Tatsumi Fujinami that is quite great. I'll bump this up tomorrow again once I finish the remaining matches. -
This is a really cool detail from the match that I'm sure a lot of people didn't grasp when they watched it:

Maestro means teacher or master and it refers to veterans -- i.e.; Negro Navarro, Solar, etc. Llave literally means key, but its generally used when referring to a move. I'm sure the word you were looking for was "maestro" though and I'm sure its referring to Navarro being a maestro.

Sweet Jesus, how could I forgot -- Dominic Garrini! Not only is he a legit grappler, but he transitioned it well into pro-wres.

It's just the way they want their names stylized. There's also HARASHIMA, CIMA and a ton others in all caps and there's also isami and gosaku entirely in lower cases. Also, here's a bit of unnecessary knowledge -- foreign fans capitalize ARTS in BattlARTS and the actual spelling of it is just Battlarts without capitalizing the ARTS. Same thing with NOAH -- it's just Pro Wrestling Noah, no caps.

WALTER did a Twitter Q&A not too long ago and he said his dream WWE match is against Cena. His dream is to work for All Japan, though. He also quote tweeted the rumor he was signing with WWE and said it was fake and he was not interested in signing as he is happy where he is at now working indys and training guys in the wXw Academy.
