Probably because not everyone is so sensitive like you. And because someday you'll probably have antiquated views that young people find humorous, just like always.I'm not sensitive. I'm just sick of complete bullshit sexist/racist/homophobia etc.. behaviour. Just because its passive or passed as a joke, does not mean it is not detrimental to society. What views will I have that will be humourous to young people when mine change base on knowledge/reason and being kind to others? There was a time I made gay jokes. I don't anymore. There was a time I would laugh at transgender people, I don't anymore. Things change as you educate yourself on the facts and those views never become laughable. If kids of the future will accept new things that I don't currently and there is reason for it, I will accept them too. I'm not stuck in some box based on my age and nor should anyone else be. This whole attitude that it is ok to put yourself above others is fine is complete and utter bullshit. Racism isn't funny, because it hurts people. Anti-women jokes aren't funny, because they are harassed like crazy and only make 70% of what men make. Homophobia isn't funny, because in most States there is no marriage equality. Joking around about this stuff only allows it to continue. If someone says an old person made some weird comment about a girl not having boobs and somebody thinks that is a great/hilarious story. It is bullshit. End of story. If that wasn't the story. then present the story properly and not in some sexist manner. If somebody said the story was at stated later, then not one person would think anything of it. Nearly choked to death at "women only make 70% of what men make". Utter nonsense. Exaggerated sensationalism like this ends up ruining valid social concerns. Anyway, you sound like you're a real blast at parties or while shooting the shit at the water cooler. Jokes are jokes. Anything can be funny. Context always matters. Some people can handle edgy humor and aren't hyper cynical or black/white regarding intent. You obviously are the extreme opposite. But beware. It's a long fall from that pedestal of yours. If you knew me for one second you would know how insanely ridiculous you sound right now. EDIT: 70% seems off. It's probably closer to 84% on average, which is wrong none the less. If it's not equal, there is a problem. It's more like 96% and exists because men are willing to work more hours, more dangerous jobs, etc. It's almost entirely about different choices. But I could go get my mother who used to work when you used to make less for being a woman. But I doubt you would find her opinion agreeable. My grandmother also used to use not PC language for black people. She wasn't a racist, she was just 80 years old.

Flair's podcast (WOOOOONation)
Johnny Sorrow replied to JerryvonKramer's topic in Publications and Podcasts
Besides the fact that the "death and nursing home" stuff was captivating and I'm not sure why it should have been "kept private ".... Why are the stories "very wrong"? Why do you think that it's nessecery to add that after "insanely funny"? If the stories are funny, than they're funny. Who are you apologizing to for laughing? I don't recall them sharing a story about murdering a hooker and going to a Klan meeting while reading "Mein Kampf" or "Atlas Shrugged". Don't worry about it and just laugh. -

Holy shit, the new one with Terry Funk is fucking great. It starts with two old guys talking about who's dead, who's in poor health , and shit and the Terry gets in the greatest line ever. And Manny Fernandez isn't the best driver. And twenty minutes in and this is the greatest wrestling podcast ever. -
I know that the author probably thought he was a genius for his awful hacky Titanic reference as the title. I'm picturing him sitting back and going " Yeah....that's it." 😆

That Julie Hart book sounds like it's exactly like Bret's book but without the rationalizations. Like, "If I HADN'T fucked around I might have gotten really bad into the drugs!"
-
Loss, ban this guy please. As someone who had a Freddy mercury avatar for years... i am on it!!!! Loss can ban Johnny Sorrow for questioning Duran Duran. Whats the question? Name an eighties band that stinks? Power Station was better and that stunk. 😆

The Trial Of Paul Heyman (Podcast question)
Johnny Sorrow replied to JaymeFuture's topic in Pro Wrestling
How so? How does me writing what I wrote there equate to your simplification of how I feel about criticism that apparently for some bonkers reason gets your knickers up your ass? 😄 -
What's Jimmy Rave's gimmick nowadays? I loved him back in the day as the Crown Jewel of The Embassy.

Really? The fucking dictionary is your source? The same dictionary that adds pop culture expressions like "D'OH!" ? That's like religious maniacs falling back on "BIBLE!"

Match Ratings - Doing Away With the Meltzer * Formula

Saying Prince can't find a note is just being a dummy. Saying "I don't dig it and it's not my bag" is what non insane people do. This whole seeing things through absolutes that goes on is so weird and intellectually limited. -
But who "literally defined" things as not being art? I see a scientist show how he or she gets to a conclusion and there is an art to it. Willie Mays was an artist in the field. Where is this ruling council that says what is and isn't art? Not what's bad or good art, but what it is or can be. Who wrote these "rules" ? Where can I read the rule book that doesn't exist?

Except, that wasn't their gimmick - at all - when they were faces, so I'm not really sure what you mean exactly. Your interpretation of their heel act is the kind of meta bullshit I hate, but I honestly don't think that's the intention anyway. They're just bland. "Funny" hairstyles and a valet don't really change that. It's just window dressing. Of course that wasn't their gimmick as faces. They had no gimmick as faces . Now it is.

If you're gonna limit it to just that, which is insane, than the crowd . But it's not as simple as that while being incredibly simple. Fuji and Strongbow gave THEIR AUDIENCE what they wanted to see. You can look at it and say "But it stunk!". And that's completely irrelevant. It was never meant to be something looked back at. It existed within its time and place with the only goal being engaging the live audience they were performing in front of.I honestly think you're not just anti-criticism (as in being critical of whatever), you are actually against the critical process of assessment and evaluation.I say that lots of things stink, in my opinion. I just hate the implied feeling that "the crowd" here "was wrong". Cause that's fucking insane. The people at the wrestling show, who are invested in these two characters, are super into the performance they are giving, are "wrong"? If someone who was there that night told a story about how he was there and the Garden was going crazy for Fuji fighting Strongbow, and how awesome it was, then it was awesome and a great match. Because those memories are far more important than anything else. I'm not saying, "Don't criticize " but always look at the big picture of what pro wrestling is. And why it's so great. -
Yeah, way to dismiss me by over exaggerating what I said regarding art and not delicious fruit, you repressed living stereotype . 😘

The limits folks instill in their own minds based on "rules" that are just made up by other folks are so fascinating.
-
They weren't any better or more interesting, awesome, charismatic, etc. as faces though. Right. Not really the point. Its two guys who act like they're playing to a loving crowd that actually hates them and not in a smart fan "we're supposed to hate them, aren't they doing a great job?" way. In a real visceral way they're getting hated.
-
Science can be art. Nature can be considered art depending on your belief system. Anything can be art.
-
Blake and Murphy shouldn't be doing anything too awesome looking or be legit charismatic. They're bad guys in NXT. The last thing they need is for people think anything about them is cool.

Bo Dallas' promo on Lana on SmackDown was hilarious and awesome. "You leave your man at his darkest hour? Despicable. And as a rebound you go with Dolph Ziggler? The WORST rebound ever? If his profile came up, swipe left and keep looking for a real man!"

Sydal is a hippie, both as a character and in real life, thus the hair. -
Duran Duran?

Why can't a "real man" do the flashy moves? I'd imagine that the "real man" stuff is about how he presents himself and his attitude, not what moves he does. That's how I took him the first time I saw him. If he was calling himself "Old School Real Man" then fine, the moves would be a problem. And he's a bad guy doing something wacky that can always be turned around on him because he was being a show off. And that IS old school.
