Why would any fan resent any guy's deal? It's not like it cost you a chance.

So I've had the network since the first week, but haven't used it that much as our internet speed with Century Link stunk. Constant pauses and buffering. Extreme Rules streamed well but the pic quality suffered. Well we just hooked up Xfinity internet with 50mps and right now I'm watching Spring Stampede on my Roku and new Hi def TV and it looks amazing, the picture is so crisp and the stream is flawless. And in the house right now I'm streaming this, the teenager is streaming a movie in his room, the little kids are watching Netflix, and three people are online with their phones. Life is good. So I've never actually seen this show, believe it or not. Regal/ Pillman is a fucking great match.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
Johnny Sorrow replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
The Outlaws first got over huge, as heels, because they were something new and different. These two low mid card guys who had been saddled with the WORST gimmicks get put together as a team, and go with a total anti-authority gimmick that was new at the time. AND, they have them beat the fucking Road Warriors for the belts. People loved booing them, but a lot of people dug them because they were fresh and new, and fit the era so well. I was a fan because I'm a heel fan, and I LOVED seeing two guys who'd been fucked with dopey gimmicks become a team that goes to the top with the attitude of two guys rebelling against the establishment, with smart ass, loud mouth personas. -
I was a huge fan of Benoit and Malenko back then and even I was yelling at the TV for that shit to end.

The greatest urban legends in wrestling are people exaggerating how long he did the stalling bit in a match they saw. I love his stalling cause it's a heel trick to get heat that even the "smartest " of fans get all upset about, Proving he was such a great wrestler that he can get heat from the fun real fans AND the "smart " types .

Since it's probably about 10 percent of the audience who are aware of the story, I'd imagine the outcome will be nothing.

The Jim Ross Is A Grouchy Hateful Vile Human Being thread

Why is it so wacky and wrong for a heel to play to the fans who like him? Flair used to acknowledge the guys in suits who loved the Horsemen who were at the TBS tapings. What's the difference ? Bill Laimbeer and the Pistons would acknowledge the fans who liked them. -
The Dream Match that was a nightmare
Johnny Sorrow replied to flyonthewall2983's topic in Pro Wrestling
Road Warriors vs Demolition was definitely considered a Dream Match, but the feud stunk as it was clear that Demo was pretty much done and WWF booked it with the angle, "LOD is here to fuck up these guys who've been imitating us", which was always in the back of the minds of most fans. Front of the mind for me. -
A front site that has a clear section for "What to listen too" re: the podcasts is great for getting all the shows more exposure.

And he just won WWF Wrestler of the Year for 1980 on the latest Titans of Wrestling podcast.

Yes, come join us as we hear me be exactly like Rich Little, as all my voices sound exactly the same. Lol.

Yeah in no way was Bryan running away. It's been clearly defined that he fears no man. Like Bix said, he was trying to get his wife to safety. Now, do they need to get the whole Brie coming out with Bryan thing done with? Hell yeah.

Introduction to the Board as a wrestling fan
Johnny Sorrow replied to soup23's topic in Forums Feedback
Brad Armstrong as a hippie was something I loved but in typical WCW fashion they call him "Buzzkill". A Buzzkill is the exact opposite of what a Deadhead should be. -
If they do bring him out, and he's in the paint, the crowd will pop huge. I think people are underestimating how popular the guy is.
-
Not here, but I'm loving people on other sites trying to insist that the crowd was silent for Rose, despite the fact that when his music stopped the crowd kept singing it.
-
It's awesome the Clashes are up, but I have all of them on DVD so whatever. But the SNME's are what I'm looking forward to.
-
OK, Shield/ Wyatts was awesome and so was the Evolution beat down. I'm all for for gang war between Shield and Evolution, that's good fucking shit. But oy vey, this RAW was boring besides the battle royal, Bryan/ Del Rio, Zeb and Swagger with Rose, and the last segment. And the camera work stinks. How many great bits got missed?
-
Swagger trying to hold it together while Zeb was talking was hilarious. I love watching people try not to laugh. How about the like, two guys yelling "BOOOO" as loud as they can while the whole crowd was singing. They must be a blast to hang out with.
-
Ok, the Mr. T bit was great.
-
Bryan was pretty awful there too, but it was the writing. "There's a wire loose. That'll do it." Who wrote that, someone who has never been under the hood of a car? So Bryan knows how to fix the car, but doesn't know what to call the parts? "A wire" LOL, that's hilarious.
-
That Bryan/ Del Rio match was good stuff.
-
That is the last thing they need. They had no confidence in Eddie as champion, Yes they did. Eddie didn't have faith in himself. It's been widely reported that Eddie was having a lot of trouble with the pressure of being champ and it was affecting his personal life. And I'm thinking that Battle Royal was the start of a possible Shaemus turn.

It's a town where everyone wears masks and no one owns a scale.
-
It didn't work because them brawling to the back killed the crowd, killed the little bit of momentum the match had, and implementing the forklift in the first place didn't add anything to the match for me. Again, according to my pal who was there, it didn't kill the crowd at all. Your problem is more with how it was mic'd.
