Matt D
The only podcast I am ever doing with Johnny is a high-depth examination of Tanahashi.
thebrainfollower
This is the only wrestling forum I post on. Of the other two forums I love I would say the classic horror film board is a pretty good role model to follow. People, even minor "celebrities" (people who appear on DVD making ofs) have been banned for getting out of line and saying the sort of things Brickhouse did. On the other hand please don't follow the example of Gallifrey Base, a doctor who forum I visit. There, every time the BBC "suggests" it, a thread is closed down. They have rules so complex (there's a whole list of people you can't talk about, and you are never allowed to quote anyone without their written permission) that I honestly just lurk because I'm scared I may say something to get me banned. JDW and I don't agree on much really but I don't hate the guy or anyone else here. If I ran into him I'd buy him a drink and we'd talk wrestling I'm sure. I never get the idea of feuding over something like a hobby, not to the point of genuinely being angry. Unless any of you start making fun of the ALW STAGE version of Phantom of the Opera. Then it's on.
tim
I can't say I read every thread here or anything but nothing seems to be at the level of affecting the quality of the forum. In general I prefer a hands off policy except in the most extreme circumstances. The people here are all at least reasonably intelligent adults and can manage themselves just fine. If someone is literally following a poster around into every thread to troll them, or getting wildly off topic to the point they are un-ignorable, etc etc, then intercede; otherwise leave everyone to their own devices. Posters here seem to be doing fine at their own devices anyway. That's my "philosophy" toward message boards anyway.
victory
This board is pretty tame when it comes to flame wars. Everybody on here seems to understand when to stop pushing an issue they don't agree on. I personally try not to even post my lame jokes on here as I would other boards so I don't offend anybody. So I think the hands off approach is best for this place.
King Solomon
I think that Brick guy actually flipped me off in a thread about Harley Race, I didn't take it personal tho. I thought it was funny
marrklarr
Obviously, he is in no way responsible for the lunatic rampage that took place, but am I the only one who would like jdw to weigh in on this topic? Hey, John, if you're reading, say something, dude.

Childs
I'm unclear what happened in this case. I don't see anything that would've inspired a moderator to step in (well, until the insanity at the end). John didn't seem to cross any lines of reasonable behavior. In general, I'm not a fan of cutting off discussions. I mean, you're a fucking adult. If you don't want to get into a line-by-line battle that goes on for pages, walk away. If, as a reader, you're bored by said battles, skim over them. I don't see the big deal unless someone gets really vicious, which doesn't happen that often. Matt D
Anyway, I really do love this place. We're like some crazy thinktank of wrestling, with each of us sort of going off and doing our own projects and coming back in. You have the old guard who were out in the field in the 80s and early 90s and the next generation podcasting and delving back into the archives and then we have the equivalent of a young hotshot grad student in someone like Devon. Hell, we even have the burnt out older guy from Real Genius.
Kevin Ridge
Well this is disappointing to read about Brick. From my conversations with him he seemed so laid back. I'm not really here for debates but more to watch wrestling and post my thoughts on stuff I've watched recently. I understand the merits of healthy debate as people can bring forth solid opinions of matches/guys worth checking out/giving a chance. I personally just don't care to get worked up about wrestling though on a message board and have to duel it out with someone.
goodhelmet
I think he realized his Chiefs were going to over-achieve this year and didn't want to honor the bets. To be fair, the way my Pack has played since Rodgers went down, it would have been an even swap. In all kidding aside, I may pin the Harley Race thread to remind us of happier times. goodhelmet
Are you fucking kidding me??? I just went in the thread right now. The fucking Harley Race pics are gone? WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Cross Face Chicken Wing
Just did a Google search for "Slayer Harley Race" and the photo appears. Is there any way to ban Brick from posting words, but allow him to post Harley pictures?
Death From Above
I saved a couple of them but not the works. Regret.
goodhelmet
Oh well, enough about Brick. If anyone else feels like going off the deep end, it's cool if you just disappear. You don't have to delete your posts and make a scene. Just disappear. Nobody will be mad at you.
jdw
Obviously, he is in no way responsible for the lunatic rampage that took place, but am I the only one who would like jdw to weigh in on this topic? Hey, John, if you're reading, say something, dude. Didn't see this until now. Nothing much to say. This is all rather tame stuff compared to what a lot of us have seen over the years. Don't think I saw anyone here threatening to show up at another posters house and kick their ass. Or a person calling someone's employer and saying an online person he didn't like was posting kiddie porn... only to have that humorously backfire when a lawyer from the employer contacted him with a nice "STFU or we'll contact law enforcement to report your harassment" message, which spooked the hell out of said jerkoff. Which reminds me of the time Bischoff implied rather strongly on the old WCW "radio" show that someone he didn't like was a child molester... and after being contacted, Time Warner came down on Eric nicely for that one. Anyway... John
Johnny Sorrow
Hey Williams, so what exactly is it about JVK that makes you stalk him the way you do? Seriously. What's your deal, now that the elephant in the room has shown up? I know your whole deal and it's a free country/ internet to post 9 times in a row without using the "edit post" button, as it is a free world for me to immediately skim over said ramblings and not go batshit fucking insane like Brick, oy vey. And I'd hope others skim over my short bursts of bullshit as well if I annoy them. But this obsession with JVK of yours.... Is it his swarthy good looks? Cause he is a handsome, if long winded, devil. And he should have just kept you on ignore, as that would solve things nicely. And I've told him so privately and now publicly. But if you want to fuck him just ask and stop putting his pigtails in the inkwell. "Oh, it looks good on you though, no offense.""
jdw
You know my whole deal, so why bother asking.
